Chapter 43: Living With The Weasleys
"Come in." Miss Weasley practically shoved him inside the house while he dragged his luggage behind.
The rest of the family was currently in the living room, except for Arthur, who was still at work.
Harry saw Ron and Ginny sitting at the table, while the twins, Fred and George, were walking downstairs.
"Harry! So good to see you, mate."
"We heard that we missed something interesting at the end of the year." The twins spoke in a jovial tone.
"You missed graduation!" Molly shouted at them, still feeling extremely furious about her two sons quitting school in their last year.
"We have our O.W.L.s."
"That's all we need. Now we are working in our shop."
"Your shop?" Harry asked.
"Yes, we are calling it Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes."
"The grand opening is in two months. You have to come see it!" The twins said with excitement. After all, it was thanks to Harry giving them the money he won in the tournament last year that they had the funds to get started.
For his part, Harry had no recollection of this happening. Those details were long gone by now.
And money was not something he considered important. If the gold he took from the Lestrange vault were to run out, he knew about many other vaults belonging to Death Eaters that he could visit.
"Ron, why don't you take Harry's luggage to your room? You two will have to share the room for the summer." Molly said.
"Not that I mind, but… why doesn't Harry stay in Percy's room? It's not like the prick is coming back." Ron said.
Molly frowned. "Don't talk about your brother like that. And Percy could still come back." She turned to Harry. "I'm sorry. I hope you don't mind sharing a room."
"It's fine, Miss Weasley. At Hogwarts, we also have to share bedrooms," Harry said.
"And I am your best friend?" Ron raised an eyebrow.
"That too," Harry added.
"That is an interesting hat you are wearing…" Molly stared at his magical hat with curiosity. "You can leave it in your room too, if you want."
"No." Harry instinctively grabbed the hat. "He has to stay with me."
"He?" Molly sounded confused.
"It's a talking hat," Ginny told her. "His name is V."
"The hat can talk?!"
"I need to see this." The twins said with excitement as they approached Harry.
"I am much more than a talking hat, mind you. But you can call me V." The hat finally spoke.
"Whoa!"
"That is so cool!" The twins said.
"I am, but no touching." V huffed.
"A talking hat?…" Molly looked baffled. "I haven't seen one since the Sorting Hat at Hogwarts."
"V is much smarter than the Sorting Hat." Ginny said.
"See? This girl gets it." V said with pride.
"Don't compliment him much. He is arrogant enough as it is." Harry told her.
"Okay, so… I was about to start preparing dinner. Why don't you boys go organize your rooms in the meantime?" Molly suggested.
"And girl." Ginny rolled her eyes.
"Thank you for letting me stay here, Miss Weasley," Harry said.
"Don't mention it, Harry. This is your home too. You will always be welcome here." Molly Weasley said with a warm smile on her face.
He grabbed his luggage and accompanied Ron and Ginny upstairs.
On the first floor, Ron turned to the left and opened the door to their bedroom. "This is going to be a fun summer. I'm already calling it."
Ginny's room was a short distance away to the right, but she stopped for a moment and turned to him. "Harry."
"Yes?" He glanced at the redhead.
"Nothing, I just…" She looked over his shoulder at her brother's room. Ron was currently busy opening his bags.
"I just wanted to tell you that I'm glad you are staying with us for the summer."
"Ehm…"
Without giving him time to answer, she turned around and went to her room.
"Mmm… I think that girl likes you." V whispered to him.
Harry glanced up. "What do you even know about girls?"
"Apparently, a lot more than you do," V responded.
"Harry, come on," Ron called for him. "Bring your luggage inside. I'll show you where to put your clothes."
"Mmm… right."

The first day at the Weasley house was a very animated one.
They all had dinner together in the small hall and talked nonstop. Mostly Ron and Ginny, who were telling their family about their school year.
Molly then scolded them for their reckless actions when they decided to go to the Ministry of Magic at night.
But she calmed down once she learned all the details, and how Harry had been lured there by Voldemort, who had made him think that his godfather was in mortal danger.
Considering that it was these same visions that had previously saved her husband's life, Molly could not complain anymore and took back the promise to ground Ron and Ginny for the summer.

The next morning, Harry left the house and went to take a walk through the fields surrounding the house.
A short distance away, he found a large apple tree with a swing attached to it and went to sit down.
"How are you holding up?" V asked him. "You can't disappear all the time like how you did at Hogwarts. You know that, right? That family will get worried."
"I'm holding up better than I thought. I don't really feel that uncomfortable around them. And I wasn't planning on disappearing during the daytime. Just needed some fresh air." Harry had already been thinking about it.
He had several tasks for the summer that required him to travel around the country. The best time to do this would be during the night. He could place Ron under a strong sleeping charm to make sure he didn't wake up, and then leave for a bit.
"I have already decided, V. Tonight… we are going to the cave."
