Chapter 71 – Just a Morning of Chaos
The next day, Charlie was with Vaggie setting up a welcome party for Sir Pentious.
Vaggie, seeing Charlie so excited, sighed and said:
— Honey, do we really need this much excitement? He was trying to kill everyone just yesterday.
Charlie smiled and said:
— Vaggie, it's true, but now he's better. He's not building those dangerous weapons anymore.
Razan, who was lying on the couch, pointed at Sir Pentious who was holding a cannon and said:
— So what is that?
Vaggie then looked at him and shouted:
— What the hell is that? What are you doing?
Sir Pentious said:
— Hello, my dear friend. This is my new invention: the Skin Flayer 1300.
Razan approached the weapon and said:
— So in other words, you failed 1299 times before creating this one. Well, what can I say? You're very persistent.
Sir Pentious said:
— I didn't fail that many times. I'm a genius inventor. I just had small setbacks along the way. But now, with this invention complete, I can't wait to test it on the other guests.
Charlie asked:
— What? Why would you want to do that?
Sir Pentious said:
— Everyone is being too nice, and obviously it's all a lie. I feel like they want to get rid of me. But when that happens, I have to be ready.
Razan said:
— I'd say you might be mistaken, but then I remember our guests are all problematic. So I can't say for sure if you're wrong.
Charlie said:
— Razan, don't agree with him.
Vaggie said:
— You need to stop this right now. No more building weapons. Everyone here treats you well because they're kind, and no one here wants to see you dead. So feel at home.
Sir Pentious then looked at Husk, who looked back at him and said:
— What are you looking at? Go fuck yourself.
He then looked at Angel. Angel looked at him and said:
— Die, you dumb snake.
He looked at Niffty smiling like crazy and said:
— I have my doubts.
Vaggie said:
— I'm serious. You can trust us.
Razan said smiling:
— Relax, little snake. Even if you're all messed up and hurt, I can take you to my healing city for free treatment. So relax about being shredded.
Charlie said anxiously:
— Razan, that's not how you calm someone down.
Razan smiled and said jokingly:
— What is calming down?
Vaggie slapped him on the head and said:
— Stop making Charlie even more anxious. Can't you see she's almost exploding with anxiety?
Razan said smiling:
— Well, sorry. My fault.
Charlie said:
— So how about we focus on today's activities so we can get to know each other better and improve even more?
Vaggie said:
— Yes, alright, but only after setting some rules: no building weapons, no conspiring against others, and you need to get rid of those eggs.
Before Vaggie finished speaking, one of the eggs exploded the hotel ceiling with explosives.
Vaggie said:
— You have to get rid of them.
Sir Pentious hugged them and said:
— Don't touch my dear little eggs. They do the dirty work for me.
Vaggie said:
— Don't you want to stay here and redeem your soul?
Sir Pentious said:
— Maybe.
Razan looked at Sir Pentious and said:
— You know, dude, a real man doesn't need subordinates. He does the dirty work himself. He's strong alone.
Before Razan finished speaking, a portal opened. A shadow emerged quickly, then knelt in front of Razan and handed him a package.
Razan then smiled at the hellhound in front of him and said:
— Ah, you, David. What's up?
David said:
— This is the package you were expecting, sir.
Razan opened the package and said excitedly:
— Ah, my Nintendo Switch! Thanks, David. Thank you guys, you help a lot. I don't know what I'd do without you.
David smiled and said:
— We're only at your disposal, sir. So I must return to work.
He said jumping into the portal and disappearing.
— See you later, David.
He then looked at them staring at him.
Vaggie said with the corner of her mouth twitching:
— And all that talk about a man not needing anyone?
Razan said:
— I'm only 18. I'm still a kid. So don't count me in that.
He said while jumping on the couch and starting to play on his Nintendo Switch and said:
— Now let's see, Nintendo. This time I'm rich, you damn thing. Let's see if I can't buy my games.
Vaggie looking at him like that sighed and said:
— You're not even a little reliable.
She then looked at Sir Pentious and said:
— Anyway, do you want to be redeemed or not?
Sir Pentious said crying:
— Ah, alright. Okay, little eggs. Go your way. I can't have you anymore.
Little egg said:
— Okay, boss.
They then followed Vaggie.
