And Inside were two people only, Storm and a Blonde Woman.

He stepped inside carefully, the door sliding shut behind him.

The arena lights brightened automatically, revealing Storm standing with his arms folded—and beside him, a tall blonde woman in a sleek combat uniform, posture straight and eyes sharp.

Grant hesitated at the threshold.

Storm turned to him.

"You're awake. Good."

The blonde woman looked him over once, her expression unreadable.

"This is Sharon," Storm introduced her. "A fellow Trainee"

"And he is Grant Ward" Storm said as Sharon simply nodded.

Sharon gave him another quick look, then eased her posture just a bit.

"Nice to meet you," she said plainly.

Grant nodded back. "Yeah… same."

Storm didn't waste time.

"Since it's the first day for both of you, you'll start training together. Same schedule. Same drills. Same rules."

Sharon raised an eyebrow. "So he's new too."

Grant blinked. "First day, huh? Guess we're both in this mess."

Storm pointed toward the center of the arena.

"We'll start with a basic assessment. I need to understand both of your current levels."

Sharon crossed her arms. "So we're doing that test again?"

Storm nodded. "Yes. I need updated data on you as well."

Grant looked between them, confused but resigned. "So… what do we do?"

Storm gestured to the rack of practice weapons on the wall.

"Both of you—pick something you're comfortable with."

Grant walked over, scanning the options. Sharon did the same beside him.

She grabbed a pair of training batons without hesitation.

Grant settled on a simple wooden staff.

Storm nodded approvingly. "Good. Come to the center."

Both of them stepped onto the arena floor, standing a few feet apart.

Storm stood in front of them, hands behind his back, voice steady.

"Your first task is straightforward."

Sharon rolled her shoulders, ready.

Grant tightened his grip on the staff.

Storm lifted one hand and pointed at himself.

"Both of you," he said calmly. "Try to hit me."

Sharon moved first. She rushed in with quick, clean strikes—clearly trained, clearly controlled. Her batons aimed for Storm's ribs, shoulder, then knee in a smooth pattern.

Storm avoided all of it without even looking pressed. A slight step back, a tilt of his head, a shift of his weight—that was all it took.

Grant followed right after, swinging his staff like he was in a street fight—big motions, fast, but unrefined. He tried to hit Storm's side, then his leg, then went for a quick jab.

Storm side-stepped him easily.

"Too wide," Storm commented as Grant stumbled forward.

Sharon tried again, coming in from the opposite angle, hoping to catch him off-guard.

Storm simply leaned aside, her baton passing through empty air.

Grant charged again with a frustrated shout.

Storm caught the staff with two fingers, pushed lightly, and Grant lost balance and fell backward onto the mat.

Sharon tried to take advantage of the moment, swinging both batons at Storm's head.

Storm stepped inside her guard and tapped her forehead with one finger.

"Dead."

Sharon froze, then sighed and backed off.

Grant groaned from the floor. "We didn't even touch you…"

"No," Storm said plainly. "You didn't."

He looked between the two of them.

"But that's what training is for."

Grant sat up, breathing hard. Sharon stood straight, trying not to look annoyed.

Storm nodded once.

"Again. This time, work together."

Ethan watched everything from his workshop through the Monitors.

"Both of them are in for a hell of a lot of pain," he mumbled, eating his breakfast while watching them get beaten.

"Anyway, this has nothing to do with me," he said, shrugging. "Why would I need to learn how to fight? I'll just wait until I get that super-hero experiment tech, then boom—superpowers. Hard work? Nah. I'm not doing that."

Ethan leaned back in his chair.

"I'm a cheater," he said proudly. "And I'll cheat all the way."

Storm didn't give Grant or Sharon a single second to breathe.

The moment they rushed in—Sharon fast and controlled, Grant wild and swinging like he was in a street fight—Storm shifted his stance.

A single step.

A single blur.

Sharon's baton strike met thin air.

Grant's staff swing hit nothing but wind.

Storm tapped Sharon's shoulder with two fingers.

She spun from the impact and hit the floor.

He swept Grant's legs right after.

Grant dropped with a confused grunt.

Both hit the ground almost at the same time.

Storm crossed his arms.

"Up."

They groaned…but obeyed.

Ethan took another bite of his sandwich.

"Yep," he said, smirking. "This is going to be fun to watch."

And just like that, another five months passed.

Now it had been a full year since Ethan arrived in this world.

Standing on the balcony, he looked at the night sky while sipping wine.

"A whole year passed without me noticing…" he mumbled.

Since he never tried to cause trouble, the world never bothered him either.

He had spent the last six months in complete peace inside his mansion, not even leaving the house unless he absolutely had to.

"Alright, System, show me the logs," Ethan said lazily.

A blue panel appeared:

[ Congratulations, Host, on surviving a whole year in the Marvel World. ]

[ Host is awarded three Universal Gachas. ]

Seeing that, Ethan grinned.

"Okay, let's see what I get this time."

In the last five months, he had only gotten a few tech items from the Horizon world—but nothing ground-breaking. Mostly machines.

The only really good thing he had received was the Specter machines, which gave him Far Zenith nano-tech. That was insanely useful—after adding the nano-tech to his Replicator, its efficiency increased by almost a hundred times.

The only issue was that it was very expensive to use, so unless he wanted to build something extremely important, he avoided using it.

Even though he was now a billionaire, Ethan still hated spending on useless things.

Ethan cracked his knuckles.

"Alright… let's roll the gachas."

"Okay, System, first roll the monthly Tech Gacha for me."

A soft ding rang.

[ Monthly Tech Gacha Result: Stalker Unit – Horizon Universe ]

Ethan stared at the hologram for a second… then shrugged.

"Eh. Another Horizon machine. Sure, why not."
