She explained that the Spirit World's terrain changes every time it opens, and no one from her clan has ever reached its "end" due to the sheer number of aggressive Elite-tier Pokémon in the deeper layers.
High above, a mountain-sized, illusory Dusknoir watched Kaito. It didn't attack; instead, it seemed to recognize Kaito as a worthy peer.

Received: Dusknoir's Blessing.
Effect: You can open and close the Spirit World entrance anytime, anywhere.
Kaito smiled. The twice-a-year restriction was gone. He was now a true colleague of the gatekeeper.
The Eerie Forest
As Kaito and Lian Yue ventured deeper, the atmosphere grew heavy, draining the vitality of ordinary humans. They encountered a group of Drifloon—balloons formed from wandering souls—that stared with hollow, horrifying eyes before drifting away, intimidated by Kaito's presence.
Eventually, they reached a forest of twisted, leafless trees that looked like ghostly fingers reaching for the sky. A group of Pumpkaboo—living jack-o'-lanterns—curiously approached them.
Suddenly, the ground shook with earthquake-like tremors. A massive "tree" stomped through the woods: an Alpha Trevenant.

Level: 78 (Elite Four-tier)
Ability: Natural Cure
Potential: Elite Four-tier
The Alpha let out a roar, and through the network of its roots, it animated the surrounding dead trees into a small army of treants. Kaito noticed a black cloth tangled in its upper branches—a Reaper Cloth.
"Lin Feng, should we fight or retreat?" Lian Yue asked, her hand on a Poké Ball.
"Fight!" Kaito declared.
The Envoy of Hell
"Hee-hee-hee—"
A sinister, desolate neigh echoed through the forest, sounding like the wail of a dying crow. A pitch-black horse with a blue mane and limbs enveloped in spectral mist tore through the air.
Kaito's heart leaped. It was Spectrier, the other half of the King's steeds.
Spectrier's Profile:
Type: Ghost
Level: 122 (Divine-tier)
Ability: Grim Neigh (Boosts Special Attack when defeating a foe)
Potential: Divine-tier
Spectrier appeared in the center of the battlefield and slammed its hooves into the earth. A pillar of black-purple Ghost energy erupted, shattering the animated treants instantly. The Alpha Trevenant was sent flying, crashing heavily into the distance.
The spectral horse snorted in disdain. It then gracefully trotted over to Kaito. Under Lian Yue's shocked gaze, the Divine steed lowered its proud head in a gesture of absolute obedience.
Lian Yue stood frozen, her breath catching. She knew Kaito was powerful, but to have a legendary spirit-steed submit on sight was beyond logic.
Behind Kaito, the faint silhouette of Calyrex appeared, its eyes bright with expectation. The King and its second steed were finally reunited.
Kaito has successfully reunited Calyrex with Spectrier and gained the ability to traverse the Spirit World at will! With the Ghost Plate within reach and an Alpha Trevenant nearby, will Kaito capture the forest guardian, or will he seek out the Hidden Emissary of this ghostly realm?
