It was Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7.
Beerus rubbed his eyes. When he saw the crowd gathered outside, he froze.
"Hm? Whis? Loren?"
"And… Goku? Vegeta?"
"And you too—Gohan?!"
Beerus scratched his head, looking completely confused.
"What's going on? What day is it today? Why are you all at my place?"
"Oh my, Lord Beerus, you're finally awake," Whis said elegantly as he stepped forward and bowed slightly.
"You slept very deeply—just a little over a year."
"Is that so? Only a year?" Beerus stretched lazily. "It felt like I just laid down."
He glanced at Goku and the others, then looked back at Whis with a bored expression.
"So explain. Why are they here?" Beerus asked.
"And that huge energy fluctuation just now—was that you? You woke me up before I even finished my dream."
Beerus was clearly displeased.
"Oh ho ho ho, Lord Beerus, it's quite simple," Whis replied calmly.
"Vegeta has been training with me for some time to become stronger."
"As for Mr. Goku and Mr. Gohan, they've just arrived. They also wish to receive my guidance."
"And regarding the disturbance just now…" Whis smiled playfully.
"Mr. Loren and I were merely having a friendly spar. A little warm-up."
"A spar with Loren?" Beerus's interest was instantly piqued.
His gaze flicked back and forth between Loren and Whis, carefully evaluating them.
"So?" Beerus asked curiously.
"What was the result? Who won?"
"Of course, Mr. Whis won," Loren replied honestly.
"Lord Beerus, you know his strength. How could I possibly be his opponent?"
"Oh?" Beerus snorted. "As expected."
Then his eyes narrowed slightly as he stared at Loren.
"You feel stronger than the last time you fought me," Beerus said slowly.
"And more importantly…"
He sniffed the air, "Why do I sense… an aura on you that feels similar to mine?"
He was clearly referring to Destruction Energy.
Although Loren had already suppressed it, the primal authority of destruction was impossible to completely hide from another God of Destruction.
"Well…" Loren hesitated, thinking about how to explain it.
Grrrrrr—
A loud, untimely rumble interrupted the moment.
Beerus's stomach growled fiercely.
"…Tch." Beerus clutched his flat stomach, looking irritated.
"Forget it! I'm starving!"
"Whis! Food! I want Earth food! What was it called again… sushi? And ramen! Yes—bring everything!"
The God of Destruction's thoughts jumped wildly from power to food in an instant.
"Oh dear, Lord Beerus," Whis chuckled indulgently.
He lightly tapped his Divine Staff.
Buzz—
A flash of light appeared, and a massive dining table materialized out of thin air.
Plates of Earth's delicacies followed one after another, filling the table with mouth-watering aromas.
"Wow! That smells amazing!" Goku's eyes instantly lit up, practically drooling.
"Hmph. Always thinking about food," Vegeta said disdainfully—though his throat bobbed involuntarily.
"Well then," Whis said with a smile, "Please sit and eat together. It's livelier with more people."
"Alright!" Goku cheered and rushed to sit down first.
Beerus didn't wait a second longer. He grabbed a bowl of ramen and began slurping it down.
"Mmm—! That's it! This taste! So good! So delicious!"
With Whis's permission, everyone else also sat down and joined the feast.
While gnawing on a massive steak, Beerus suddenly spoke again.
"Hey, Loren. You—what was that destruction aura earlier?" Beerus demanded lazily.
"Be honest. Did you secretly learn my techniques?"
Everyone's gaze immediately turned toward Loren.
"Lord Beerus, you're really wronging me," Loren said calmly, putting down his chopsticks and wiping his mouth.
"I don't have the ability to secretly learn your authority. I merely comprehended that power by chance during my spar with Mr. Whis."
Naturally, he couldn't mention [The God-level selection system], so he gave a reasonable explanation.
"You comprehended it yourself?" Beerus raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical.
"What nonsense. Destruction Energy is one of the highest powers in the universe—the authority of a God of Destruction. You don't just 'comprehend' it."
"Perhaps…" Whis interjected at the perfect moment.
"It's because Mr. Loren has already stepped into a realm we ourselves cannot fully understand."
"After all," Whis continued with a gentle smile.
"Mr. Loren can perfectly control Ultra Instinct. Under such circumstances, touching upon a portion of the God of Destruction's domain… isn't completely impossible."
"…Hmph." Beerus fell silent.
Whis's explanation actually made some sense.
After all, Loren was already a monster capable of mastering Ultra Instinct.
Comprehending a bit of Destruction Energy…
Annoying—but not impossible.
"Tch. What an irritating guy," Beerus muttered, giving up on the topic and returning his full attention to the food.
Soon, everyone had eaten their fill.
They leaned back in their seats, patting their bellies, expressions full of satisfaction.
The God of Destruction Realm returned to peace—
At least for now.
