Gohan was walking through the park with Videl, pushing a stroller.
Pan slept soundly inside it.
Looking at his gentle wife beside him and his lovely daughter in the stroller, a happy smile appeared on Gohan's face.
He truly loved his current life.
Peaceful. Tranquil. No fighting. No killing.
Just then—
Loren's figure appeared in front of Gohan and Videl.
"Mas—Master?!" Gohan froze in shock.
"Oh, Gohan. Videl." Loren looked at Gohan—wearing black-rimmed glasses and looking refined—and greeted them with a smile.
"You're living quite comfortably."
"Master… why—why are you here?" Gohan asked nervously, instinctively pushing up his glasses.
"Why can't I be here?" Loren replied irritably. "Is it wrong for me to visit my own disciple?"
"No, no, no! Of course not! I just… I was just too surprised!" Gohan quickly explained.
"Alright, enough nonsense." Loren said bluntly. "Come with me."
"Huh? Where… where to?"
"A good place for training," Loren said calmly.
"There, you'll become stronger."
Gohan glanced at Videl beside him, then at Pan in the stroller. His expression grew conflicted.
"Master, but… I still need to stay with Videl and Pan…"
"Gohan." Loren's expression turned serious. "Are you planning to keep sinking like this?"
"Sinking?" Gohan looked confused. "Master, I don't understand. My life right now is very good. I'm satisfied."
"Do you still remember your last confrontation with Beerus?" Loren continued coldly.
"Your strength is no longer what it used to be. You've completely fallen behind in your training."
"I…" Gohan's lips trembled, but no words came out.
Because Loren was right.
He hadn't trained in a very long time. His instincts had dulled.
He had felt it clearly during his last battle with Lord Beerus.
"Earth is peaceful now because we're watching over it," Loren said.
"But who can guarantee that enemies like Frieza, like Majin Buu—or ones even stronger—won't appear in the future?
If I'm not here… and your father and Vegeta aren't here… what will you do? Will you just watch everything you cherish get mercilessly destroyed?"
"Master, I—"
"Do you remember," Loren interrupted, his voice sinking low, "Trunks' future world?"
Gohan's body trembled violently.
That world…
"Tell me, Gohan." Loren stared straight into his eyes.
"Do you want that kind of future to happen here?"
"No… I don't!"
The image of that desperate future flashed through his mind.
Gohan roared.
He turned toward Videl, his eyes full of apology.
"Videl… I'm sorry."
Although reluctant, Videl still supported her husband's choice.
"Go." She smiled gently, adjusting Gohan's collar. "Pan and I will wait for you to come home."
"…Mm." Gohan nodded heavily.
He bent down and gently kissed his sleeping daughter on the forehead.
"Master, I'm ready."
Gohan turned and bowed deeply to Loren.
"Please take me to train! No matter how hard or tiring it is, I'll endure it!"
Seeing his disciple finally rekindle his fighting spirit, a relieved smile appeared on Loren's face.
"Very good. That's how my disciple should be." Loren patted Gohan on the shoulder.
"Don't worry. I won't let you suffer for too long."
"Now—let's go."
Loren placed a hand on Gohan's shoulder.
In the next instant, their figures vanished.
A flash of light—
Gohan found himself in a completely unfamiliar world.
"This is…" He was so shocked he couldn't finish his sentence.
"The God of Destruction Realm," Loren said calmly.
"Beerus's territory—the God of Destruction of Universe 7."
Master actually brought him to a place like this?!
Before Gohan could recover—
Several familiar ki signatures rapidly approached.
"Oh? Loren, you're here!"
The one who arrived first was Goku.
Behind him were an annoyed Vegeta and a smiling Whis.
"Huh? Gohan?!" Goku exclaimed in surprise when he noticed him. "Why are you here too?"
"Dad?! Uncle Vegeta?!" Gohan stared at them in disbelief. "Why are you all here as well?"
"Of course we're here to train!" Goku replied matter-of-factly.
"Kakarot, shut up!" Vegeta snapped, then turned his gaze toward Loren.
Why would Loren bring Gohan here?
"Oh my, oh my—how lively." Whis walked over gracefully, glancing at Gohan with interest.
"Mr. Loren, did you bring Mr. Gohan to participate in the training as well?"
"That's right." Loren nodded.
"This disciple of mine has great potential, but he's far too lazy. If I don't beat some sense into him, he'll become completely useless.
So I brought him here to take a few good beatings and recover his Saiyan resolve."
Loren's blunt words instantly made Gohan's face flush red.
Goku rushed over and patted Gohan's shoulder excitedly.
"That's great, Gohan! You finally came back to train!" Goku said with obvious relief.
"You have no idea how worried I've been all these years!"
"Dad…" Gohan felt warmth surge through his chest.
"Hmph. Remembering to train now?" Vegeta said coldly with his arms crossed.
"Don't you think that's a bit late?"
Gohan clenched his fists and lowered his head, unable to argue.
"Vegeta, how can you talk to Gohan like that?" Goku protested.
"I'm stating facts," Vegeta replied indifferently.
"This is a world ruled by strength. The weak have no value."
"Alright, alright." Whis stepped in to smooth things over. He smiled at Gohan.
"Mr. Gohan, don't belittle yourself. Your potential is excellent. If you train seriously, catching up isn't impossible."
Whis's words gave Gohan renewed confidence.
He raised his head, determination burning in his eyes.
"Mm! I'll work hard!"
