"Twin boys..."
Robert muttered thoughtfully, glancing at the omega holding his elbow as they walked along the pavement to follow Hannah, who was happily riding her bike while humming. From how tight Ian's grip was, he could feel a mix of emotions behind the smile.
There was worry, but also delight, and guilt for feeling that way. It might only be his assumption, but Robert felt like Ian saw this as a way to 'redo' what he couldn't do with his own twin sons.
That being said...
"They ask you to choose their names?"
"Yes..." Ian unconsciously tightened his hold around the bodyguard's elbow. "I wonder...if I can do it well."
If he was the one giving the twins a name, he would be forced to realize that the boys were not his twin sons. It would not be a redo, for they weren't meant to be used as a tool to fix one's perceived mistake. Robert wondered if Eugene asked his dad with this in mind.
