As all the flowers bloomed beautifully and their garden finally looked like a proper garden instead of a field of bald patches, Eugene still spent most of his daytime on the patio.
Not because he still needed fresh air for his nausea—which still came sometimes, just way, way, way milder—but to finally work on his manuscript. That, and watching his dad in the garden. He was also working on his own vegetable garden, but both his husband and his dad did not allow him to work for too long, and the mountain-climbing threat had started to lose its effect, so...
Well, he did have some desk work to do. Catching up on this manuscript, which had been sitting idly in his neglected laptop, was not as easy as he thought. Initially, he just wanted to edit some parts with more thoughtful points, but when he read everything from the start, his fingers started to get cramped from cringing.
