"Is it just me, or does the house feel a bit...quiet these days?"
One peaceful weekend morning, while eating his spice-loaded breakfast potato omelette, Eugene muttered absentmindedly. Staring at the wonderful back muscles of his husband who was making a smoothie bowl for his dessert, Eugene tilted his head in confusion at this sense of incongruity.
"Well, we did lose one person," Arthur shrugged.
Eugene tilted his head another way. "Could one person really make that much change?" his eyes narrowed sceptically. "He's not even a talkative one."
"But, Papa—"
"Swallow your food before speaking, Hana."
Hannah covered her mouth with her hands, chewed quickly, and swallowed. Only after Eugene nodded and patted her head did she open her mouth. "Hehe..." she giggled. "You know, Grandpapa always chat with Uncle Robert all the time."
Eugene raised his brows. "All the time?"
"All the time Grandpapa doesn't talk to Papa," Hannah giggled.
"Huh..."
