As Kote allocated 300 million credits, Murto immediately began construction across the entire town of Vadir, first developing a new area.
It must include all free public buildings, such as Vadir's first public university, its first civilian spaceport, and more commercial buildings, as well as cultural, educational, scientific research, medical, health, and sports facilities.
The people in Vadir must live the best life, and then all the B1 Battle Droids and 0x9 Labor Droids that were gathering dust in the warehouse were used as free labor for Vadir's projects.
All of this still required a designer for planning, as this would prevent errors from occurring when two teams worked simultaneously. Therefore, the adjutant, who was painstakingly researching clones, had to be pulled out to design a future plan for Vadir that could grow into an interstellar metropolis as the population increased.
The adjutant quickly analyzed and created based on Mandalore art and some architectural cases from the Tyrell Empire, producing a design proposal that everyone praised in just three days. Then, after all the Materials Murto purchased on Mandalore were transported to Vadir, construction of the new town began.
First, residential areas were built, and some public facilities were placed within them, such as one-stop schools from elementary to middle school. Hospitals were also built in the areas closest to the residential zones. To cultivate Mandalore people interested in technology, Kote specifically added an exclusive scientific research zone.
Thus, Murto supervised the construction in New Vadir every day, as these droids were known to slack off. If not watched, they would just sit there and rest. So, Murto's government staff were constantly on the construction site to prevent such situations.
While the grand new district construction was underway on Vadir, Captain Dooku arrived in the Mandalorian Sector with his cargo. Upon arrival, Death Watch immediately detected the arrival of these lucrehulk-class freighters.
"Captain Dooku, it's been a few days, and you're still as prosperous as ever!" Kote's communication instantly connected with Captain Dooku's.
"Governor Kote, you are the same; still as capable of fleecing our Trade Federation," Dourde said with a wry smile, not expecting to see this plague again. Ever since Kote took office, nothing had gone smoothly for him, but this time he could make a good profit.
After all, he brought 3 billion in Materials this time, giving Kote only 2 billion and keeping 1 billion for himself. Wouldn't that be a nice profit? The Trade Federation was a large enterprise and wouldn't miss this amount.
"Come quickly, the people of Vadir are waiting for you! Our biggest benefactors, they all want to thank you!" Kote said with a chuckle.
After hanging up, two Valkyrie frigates escorted three lucrehulk-class freighters to Vadir. Upon disembarking, Dourde found that the people of Vadir were truly welcoming his arrival, which made him somewhat happy, thinking Kote was just teasing him.
"How is it, Captain Dooku, is the welcome sufficient?" Kote walked over and shook Captain Dooku's hand, gesturing to the warmly welcoming crowd.
"Indeed, the Mandalore people are so hospitable!" Dourde exclaimed, as on other planets, not being attacked was already good luck; such a situation was unheard of.
"Let's go, we've prepared Mandalore local specialties. Call everyone off the ship; nothing will happen in Vadir!" Kote said with a mischievous smile, patting Dourde's shoulder.
At this moment, Dourde had completely forgotten about being extorted tens of millions of credits before, and immediately ordered all living personnel off the ship to stay in Vadir for a few days.
Kote, meanwhile, took several captains and first officers to the newly built hotel in New Vadir.
At the dinner table, Kote had people continuously pour drinks for them, and the drinks had already been laced with sedatives.
"Go-Governor Kote, your Man-Mandalore-wine is strong!" Dourde was already so drunk he couldn't speak clearly.
The other captains and first officers had already passed out, but Dourde was still calling for another drink, though he soon fell silent and asleep.
"Alright, take over those three lucrehulk-class freighters. Unload half of the cargo and send the rest to the Zanbar System," Kote said to Omen beside him.
"You're truly ruthless, boss!" Omen gave a thumbs-up. When Kote first proposed this plan, they all disagreed, thinking that just taking the cargo was enough, and hijacking the ships was too extreme.
But Kote dismissed their concerns with a single sentence: "The Almec matter isn't over yet, what's wrong with taking a few ships?"
Everyone immediately agreed, realizing it made sense!
At this time, the other ship officers and crew had already been drugged and sent to a herculean-class freighter. Dourde and these captains were also thrown onto the herculean-class freighter.
As for the pilot, it was Kote himself, of course. The escort consisted of the two Valkyrie frigates from before, directly returning to Cato Neimoidia overnight with the personnel.
In hyperspace, Kote was communicating with Gunray.
"Governor Gunray, I've sent your people back. Remember to receive them," Kote said to the bewildered Gunray on the other end.
Gunray didn't understand what was happening. Hadn't Dourde just left for Vadir with 3 billion in Materials? Why was there talk of returning, and from Kote's communication? Governor Gunray, still half-asleep, was completely confused.
"It seems Governor, you still don't understand. You'll know once you let my ship enter Cato Neimoidia," Kote said, seeing Gunray's confusion.
It was then that Gunray understood, oh~ so it was Kote Vizsla who had arrived. What! Kote Vizsla had arrived!
"Is there anything you need in Cato Neimoidia?" Gunray, now somewhat sober, was terrified, thinking Kote had come for his life.
Exiting hyperspace, Kote arrived at Cato Neimoidia. What greeted his eyes was a gas giant shrouded in mist.
"I've arrived. Allow the identification code to pass," Kote said simply.
Gunray didn't care what this lord was here for; he immediately ordered them to let Kote in. Kote docked at a spaceport, and Governor Gunray hastily brought his aide to greet Kote.
Upon arrival, he saw Kote using The Force to carry the people, who were sleeping like dead pigs, off the herculean-class freighter. Gunray was puzzled, wondering if Kote had switched professions to become a slave trader and wanted him to sell them?
But upon closer inspection, they were all wearing the black uniforms of the Trade Federation Defense Force. And wasn't that fat Dourde, who had gone to Vadir to deliver goods?!
Gunray went up and kicked Dourde awake several times. Dourde, still groggy, thought he was dreaming. "Damn Gunray! I can't even beat you in my dreams! You hit me in reality, and now in my dreams too!" He said, about to hit Gunray.
But he was controlled by Kote and couldn't move. Dourde then gradually sobered up, realizing he had caused a huge disaster. The ships were gone, and he had almost hit his superior!
But Gunray had no time to dwell on this and asked Kote, "Governor, what is this? Why did you personally bring these useless people back? And where are the ships that delivered the goods?"
"Oh, you mean those? I saw no one on them and thought no one wanted them, so I took them. Are they yours?" Kote looked up at Governor Gunray.
"Hahahaha, Governor Kote, you are truly lucky to find ownerless freighters!" Gunray chuckled, flattering him, afraid that this lord would be displeased and choke him to death.
"It seems they're not yours. But I've brought them all back. Be sure to treat them well. It's just three lost ships, no big deal," Kote said, patting Nute Gunray's arm.
"Yes, yes, as long as you're happy. Won't you stay a bit longer?" Gunray said with a fake smile.
"No, there are still some matters to handle in Vadir. I'll come again when I have time." After saying that, Kote boarded his ship and went home.
Gunray waved goodbye, and once the ship was out of sight, he immediately ordered his men to arrest all these fellows, beat them, and confiscate their property to cover the losses.
