Chapter 51 - Shopping time

Sanemi's day started with him trying to hide his excitement about getting a cat, while Giyuu noticed his boyfriend's secretive behavior. At the café, Sanemi got teased mercilessly by their friends about his fear of ghosts, which led to an embarrassing revelation about the horror movie incident. After their double date with Mitsuri and Obanai, Sanemi was secretly grateful for Giyuu's support and affection, even if he pretended to be annoyed by it. Mitsuri watched the couple with a dreamy expression, completely charmed by their dynamic.

"They're so cute together! I wish Obanai would be that openly affectionate with me in public." She turned to her boyfriend with hopeful eyes, while secretly planning how to make Sanemi's secret cat obsession even more embarrassing. "Don't you think they're adorable? Maybe we should get them a cat toy that plays scary sounds." Obanai sighed, knowing exactly what she was thinking. "Mitsuri, leave them alone. And no more cat toys - we're already getting them one."

Mitsuri pouted but then brightened up with an idea.

"Fine, but we should totally surprise them with matching cat sweaters! I saw these adorable ones with little cat ears!" Obanai couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm, despite knowing Sanemi would probably refuse to wear anything with cat ears. "You're impossible. But... fine. We'll get them the sweaters." Mitsuri squealed in delight and started planning their next shopping trip. "This is going to be the best surprise ever! Maybe we should add little bell collars too!" Sanemi leaned closer to Giyuu, whispering under his breath.

"I swear, if they get us matching cat sweaters, I'm burning them both." Giyuu chuckled softly, enjoying the mental image of Sanemi in cat ears. "But think of how cute you'd look. Besides, Mitsuri's too excited to stop now." Sanemi groaned dramatically, though his heart wasn't really in it. "You're enjoying this way too much, Tomioka. I'm not wearing any stupid cat accessories." Giyuu smirked and reached over to playfully tug at Sanemi's hair.

"We'll see about that. I have ways of convincing you." Sanemi swatted Giyuu's hand away, but couldn't hide his small smile. "You're such a menace. What happened to my calm, stoic boyfriend?" Giyuu leaned closer, his voice dropping to a teasing whisper. "He fell in love with a grumpy cat enthusiast." Mitsuri practically bounced into the pet store, dragging Obanai along.

"Look at all the cute cat stuff! We should get them everything!" Sanemi tried to look disinterested, but his eyes lit up at the sight of the cat toys. "Don't get too carried away, Mitsuri. We're only getting one cat." Giyuu noticed Sanemi's reaction and smiled knowingly, already planning to let him pick out a few extra things.

"Let's start with the essentials first." Mitsuri led them straight to the cat accessories section, while Sanemi pretended to be interested in cat food.

"Oh my gosh, look at these! They have little cat bow ties!" Sanemi perked up immediately at the mention of bow ties, though he tried to act casual. "We don't need bow ties. That's ridiculous." Giyuu picked up a small black bow tie with white paw prints and showed it to Sanemi. "But it's so you, Sanemi. Perfectly scary and sophisticated." Sanemi's face turned red as he snatched the bow tie from Giyuu's hand.

"I'm only looking at it because it's... practical. For special occasions." Mitsuri clapped excitedly and started searching for more accessories. "See? Even Sanemi agrees! And we should get matching collars too - one scary and one cute!" Obanai shook his head at the chaos unfolding, while secretly taking pictures of Sanemi examining the bow tie. "This is going to be a long day." Sanemi tried to put the bow tie back, but Mitsuri blocked his path with a determined look.

"Nope! You're not backing out now. You want it, we're getting it." Giyuu stepped closer, wrapping an arm around Sanemi's waist. "She's right, you know. You can't resist cat accessories." Sanemi huffed and crossed his arms, but didn't deny it.

"Fine. But only the bow tie. And don't you dare tell anyone about this, Tomioka."

"A cat in a dorm room, isn't it illegal?"Mitsuri waved her hand dismissively at Obanai's concern. "Don't worry about that! We can hide it from the dorm administrators. Right, Sanemi?"

Sanemi nodded confidently, already thinking of ways to smuggle the cat in. "We'll just keep it quiet. And if anyone asks, we'll say it's a service animal." Giyuu gave Obanai a reassuring look. "We'll be careful. Besides, what's life without a little rule-breaking?" Obanai sighed, knowing he couldn't argue with that logic. "Just don't get caught. And don't expect me to help if you do." Mitsuri giggled and started browsing the cat beds.

"You're such a worrywart, Obanai! Let's focus on finding the perfect bed for our little rule-breaker."Sanemi smirked at Obanai's reluctant acceptance. "See? Even snake boy is coming around to the idea." Mitsuri pulled out a luxurious-looking cat bed decorated with small skull patterns. "This one! It's perfect for our scary cat! And it matches Sanemi's new bow tie."

Sanemi tried to look disinterested, but his eyes lit up at the bed.

"Not bad... though it's a bit flashy." Giyuu picked up a more subdued black and blue one with minimalist design. "How about this one? Simple, elegant, and practical." Sanemi immediately shook his head. "Too boring. The skull one has character." Mitsuri squealed in delight and hugged the skull bed. "Sanemi has excellent taste! It's settled then - we'll get this one." Obanai rolled his eyes but couldn't help smirking at the sight of Sanemi getting excited about cat beds.

"Just remember, if it gets us kicked out, I'm blaming all of you." Giyuu nodded in agreement while adding some food and treats to their cart. "We'll be fine. We're professionals at breaking rules." Sanemi added a few more items to the cart, including a cat tree and a small scratching post. "And these. The cat needs proper training equipment." Mitsuri spotted a tiny cat sweater with a lightning bolt pattern and gasped.

"Oh my gosh! We HAVE to get this too!" Sanemi quickly tried to grab it before Giyuu could see. "Absolutely not! We're getting too much stuff as it is." Giyuu caught Sanemi's arm with a knowing smile. "Too late. I already saw it. You want it, don't you?" Sanemi struggled against Giyuu's grip, his face turning red. "I do not! It's ridiculous! Lightning bolts? Really?" Mitsuri pouted and held the sweater up to her chest.

"But it's so cute! Just imagine our cat in it!" Sanemi looked at the sweater again, his resolve clearly weakening. "Fine... but only because it matches the bow tie." Mitsuri added the sweater triumphantly to the cart, while Sanemi tried to hide his excitement. "This is the best day ever! Our cat is going to be the most stylish one in the dorm." Obanai shook his head, watching Sanemi's poorly concealed enthusiasm.
