Divinity is nothing more than a title.
The Muggle world has its animals; the wizarding world has its magical creatures.
Gods are simply humans with special abilities; for now, they might as well be called 'magical humans.'
They possess three distinct traits:
First, their entire body has an affinity for magic. While wizards rely on magical circuits to cast spells, every cell of a god's body acts as a circuit. Audrey had discovered that her recent drowsiness was due to her body shifting in this direction—meaning that even without capturing a divine constitution, she would have eventually undergone this metamorphosis on her own.
Second, gods can master the power of rules. When a god is born, they awaken a specific rule known in ancient times as a 'Divinity.' A god can later master multiple Divinities.
Third, the source of a god's power appears to be 'faith,' but it is not. Emotions such as worship, admiration, hatred, and fear can all be absorbed and converted into power.
Ancient wizards were able to defeat gods by simulating rules and mastering emotions—this is the very essence of ancient magic!
The dragon scales on Hydrus receded. The constitutions she was currently utilizing were 'God' and 'Dementor.'
She remained motionless because she was in the midst of awakening her first Divinity.
Awakening took time, and she needed cover. Dumbledore likely couldn't protect her entirely, so she required the help of her subjects!
The sky, turned blood-red by Magni, now melded with dark clouds, looking like coal ash poured into a bucket of red paint.
The temperature plummeted as if all happiness were being drained from the world.
Countless Dementors emerged from the clouds, diving toward the Queen's enemies. Though they craved freedom, the majesty radiating from the Queen was many times stronger than before, forcing them to obey her will and launch a suicidal assault.
Magni roared, punching and kicking, but he was helpless against the Dementors. These disgusting creatures wouldn't die even if torn in half!
The Dementors drained Magni's happiness and his soul with all their might,
but it was like someone happily sticking a straw into a cup of milk tea, only to find the contents had long since frozen into a solid block of ice...
Both sides attacked fiercely, yet neither could overcome the other!
The swarming Dementors completely surrounded Magni, obscuring his vision and allowing Hydrus to focus on awakening her Divinity.
Glenda Chittock and the others seized the opportunity to retreat into the castle, leaving only Dumbledore and Hydrus on the battlefield.
On a windowsill on the second floor of Hogwarts, an odd-eyed calico cat sat quietly, staring at Hydrus.
Ever since his great-uncle foresaw that tragic fragment of the future, Edmond had volunteered to come to Hogwarts. He would not let that future become reality; his very existence was meant to subvert it!
On the other side of the castle, Barty Jr. and Selenis (Voldemort) were also watching the battle. The earth-shaking clash had drawn their attention, and their mouths hung open in shock at the sheer scale of the sudden conflict.
The young students were filled with anxiety.
A figure like Magni was unheard of and unseen; such an entity beyond their understanding had dealt them a massive psychological blow.
Flowers in a greenhouse cannot withstand a storm; even the slightest gust of wind preceding the tempest could make them wither!
On the field, Dumbledore held his wand level, fully focused. Although he didn't know why Hydrus had suddenly stopped moving, it was clear the Dementors were following her orders—she must be planning something!
As the focus of everyone's attention, Hydrus was actually quite nervous.
'What will my first Divinity be?'
'Sloth?'
'Wealth?'
'Oh boy!'
'A God of Sloth? Would that even work? Making the opponent lazy?'
'A God of Wealth would be nice, but it wouldn't help defeat Magni!'
By this point, Magni had long since lost his patience.
"Boring creatures made by wizards! Failed products that attempt to manipulate emotions! Don't think that just because your souls are imprisoned elsewhere, I can't touch you!"
"The liches of old played these cheap tricks much better than you!"
Magni's eyes flashed with divine light as he shouted,
"Great All-Father, please lend me your strength!"
Magni raised both hands toward the sky, palms facing up.
In the void above the clouds, a bright flash of lightning appeared.
The lightning dispelled the dark clouds, revealing the phantom image of a hammer.
"Mjölnir! Help me trace these evil souls and erase them completely!"
The hammer sent down a bolt of lightning that landed in Magni's palm.
Magni was now wreathed in lightning as if the God of Thunder himself had been reborn!
He grabbed a Dementor, the light in his eyes flaring as a bolt of lightning streaked across the sky, flying northward!
Seconds later, the captured Dementor let out a mournful wail. Lightning erupted from its mouth, instantly turning it into a pile of dust that scattered in the wind.
The fortress of Azkaban had originally belonged to the dark wizard Ekrizdis. This notorious figure had conducted evil experiments on sailors in the nearby waters.
Dementors were born during this period, essentially transformed from those unfortunate sailors.
For centuries, most wizards failed to understand the nature of Dementors, claiming they had no souls.
In reality, their souls were imprisoned in Azkaban! This was quite similar to the phylacteries of liches!
Dementors had high magic resistance—so high that even the Killing Curse couldn't penetrate it—but they weren't immortal! As long as their souls were destroyed, they would turn into yellow dust!
Clearly, Magni could now easily destroy the souls of the Dementors far away in Azkaban using Mjölnir!
This move terrified the Dementors!
Like flies startled off a dead fish, they scattered in a frenzy, fleeing into the sky and vanishing without a trace!
To hell with the Queen's orders; what could be more important than their own lives?
Magni laughed heartily. After killing two Dementors, nothing stood in his way!
"Little girl, these tricks won't work on me,"
Magni looked at Hydrus, then glanced at Dumbledore, who was ready to provide support.
"Let's end this battle quickly. You wizards have lived long enough!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Magni charged at Hydrus, enveloped in lightning!
Hydrus shifted back into her fire dragon form and collided head-on with him!
"Boom!"
Their elbows clashed, sparks of lightning flying everywhere, and waves of earth rolled outward from the center of their impact!
Hydrus was knocked back once more. Faced with the Rule of Strength, even with a divine body and the power of a fire dragon, she still couldn't budge Magni.
Yet the damage this strike dealt to her was negligible compared to the last!
"Hahaha! Now that's more like it, little girl! You should have been a great warrior. Why do you hang around with a bunch of wizards?"
Magni kicked off the ground, pursuing the flying Hydrus.
Although Hydrus was flying backward, she didn't lose her balance and maintained her combat stance!
Watching the rapidly approaching Magni, her lips curled into a slight smile.
'Mr. Magni, since you love charging in straight lines... try this on for size. I'm sure it will be quite the shock!'
Hydrus parted her lips, and a beautiful note escaped her throat.
But the moment it left her mouth, the sound amplified a million times, condensing into an intangible sonic cannon that blasted toward Magni!
Magni, unable to change direction, was hit dead center!
The sonic blast plowed a deep trench over ten meters wide, tearing through the ruins of the Quidditch pitch and hurtling toward the mountains with unstoppable momentum.
As for Magni, who had taken the direct hit, he was sent hurtling back—faster than he had come—tumbling uncontrollably!
His eyes were full of disbelief as he cried out mid-tumble:
"The Rule of Sound! This is the Rule of Sound!!"
"Aaaaaaaahhhhh—"
