Chapter 166 - Chapter 167 Stealing the Physique

Dumbledore's Disarming Charm struck Bode Gray, sending him flying over ten meters before he tumbled another seven or eight across the cracked grass.

Lying flat on the ground, Bode Gray felt as if every bone in his body was shattered.

The pain was excruciating.

He gave a self-deprecating laugh.

He had spent his life pursuing ancient magic, determined to become the premier figure in the wizarding world and lead the Gray family to its peak.

But now, it seemed those were merely the arrogant croaks of a frog at the bottom of a well.

The sheer power in Dumbledore's single Disarming Charm made him realize the gap between himself and the true pinnacle of the wizarding world.

Was Glenda Chittock strong?

Yes, but she used ancient magic—wasn't she supposed to be strong?

Yet reality told Bode that it was the person who was truly strong... not the magic.

Dumbledore could defeat him using simple spells just as easily. If Dumbledore were to learn ancient spells, his efficiency would undoubtedly be higher—much higher.

And even if Glenda Chittock used ordinary spells, he likely wouldn't be able to withstand them!

Bode looked at Hydrus Lestrange, who was floating in the air with Audrey's face. It seemed it had only taken this girl a few days to learn the ancient magic left by their ancestors...

Geniuses really were existences that defied all logic!

Dumbledore Apparated to Bode's side, his face full of apology.

"Reparo!"

Bode Gray felt his condition improve as he struggled to sit up.

Dumbledore returned his wand to him. "My apologies. I struck you by mistake."

Bode Gray smiled bitterly.

Perhaps in Dumbledore's eyes, he was just an escaped convict...

If Dumbledore could see the tragic state of the Norwegian wizarding world, he would understand why he did what he did!

The moment anyone knelt to Magni, they instantly became his fanatical followers, losing their own consciousness.

In the face of anything, they would only say, "Magni protect us."

Driven by Magni, they would shout, "For Magni! For the glory of the Northern Gods!"

This was more terrifying than being under the Imperius Curse!

Crucially, one could break free from the Imperius Curse, and the caster needed to reinforce it periodically. But once one became a fanatical follower of Magni, there was no way to undo it!

In other words, if any young wizard had knelt just now, they would have instantly become Magni's fanatic!

"Do not be careless! Magni will not be defeated so easily!" Glenda Chittock roared with all her might.

Whoosh!

In the next instant, Magni burst from the dust and smoke, reaching Dumbledore and Bode in the blink of an eye.

"Do you know?"

Magni appeared unscathed, though his long hair, which had previously hung down, was now standing on end.

"My Father God is named Thor, the God of Thunder of Asgard! His hammer has been inherited by me and my brother. Lightning flows through my veins, so—"

Magni cracked his neck. "I appreciate the massage you gave me with that lightning. In return, I shall grant you eternal sleep!"

A fierce whip-kick swept out, seemingly aimed at killing Dumbledore and Bode simultaneously.

However, the attack hit nothing. The "Dumbledore" and "Bode Gray" before Magni were like reflections in water; as the thick leg swept through them, they merely distorted and wobbled slightly before vanishing into a splash of clear water with a soft pop.

Magni blinked in surprise and was immediately hit by several spells.

Dumbledore's attacks were fast and heavy, making Magni grimace in pain. He shielded his face and looked closely—

The white-bearded old man was now a hundred paces away, and the old man who had hit him with lightning was beside him.

'Hmph, running away while carrying someone. I'd like to see how long you can keep that up!'

Just as he was about to charge, a roar came from behind him.

"Avada Kedavra!"

He turned back in shock, only to see Bode Gray sitting on the ground not far behind him, wand pointed straight at him.

In the distance, the "Bode Gray" next to Dumbledore instantly turned into bubbles and vanished; it had been an illusion.

Between the clever escape and the classic feint, these two old men played their roles to perfection.

However, Bode's surprise attack merely proved one thing once again: the Killing Curse was ineffective against Magni!

Tricked twice, Magni was furious. The veins on his body bulged, his aura surged, and the entire space turned blood-red!

The young wizards watching from the castle felt their breath catch as if someone had gripped their throats.

The air began to grow viscous, and some of the weaker students actually rolled their eyes and fainted!

"Today, you shall all die!"

Magni roared, throwing a straight punch at Bode Gray.

In Bode's eyes, Magni's fist expanded infinitely, its savage force seemingly shattering space itself.

Nowhere to hide, nowhere to run!

Bode gave a tragic smile. He was about to die, but dying in a battle against an alien race wasn't a disgrace to his ancestors.

Boom!

Hydrus descended from the sky, shielding Bode.

Although this old fossil was detestable, right now they were comrades in the same trench.

Private grudges could be settled later, but on the battlefield, they had to present a united front against the outsider!

The moment she made contact with Magni's fist, Hydrus knew she had overestimated herself. The sheer magnitude of that force was beyond anything she had imagined.

That was the law of power—pure, almost a conceptual existence!

Having bought just enough time, Bode Gray quickly Apparated away, but Hydrus was sent flying.

In mid-air, her muscles and bones snapped inch by inch, blood sprayed from every part of her body, and her life signs rapidly faded!

Yet before she even hit the ground, she was engulfed in raging flames. Within those fires, she was reborn!

Thank Merlin for the Phoenix constitution gifted by Fawkes!

Upon landing, cold sweat dripped from Hydrus's forehead. This Magni was too strong!

The watching students, however, erupted.

"Why did Audrey's face change?"

"Did that old man just call her Hydrus Lestrange?"

"I know that name! The Lestranges were wanted for years, and the bounty was only lifted the year before last!"

"I've heard it too! The Evil Dragon of Knockturn Alley! She intimidated the entire alley when she was only eleven!"

"Audrey is actually that Hydrus Lestrange?"

"No wonder she was sorted into Slytherin! She's a lady of a Pure-blood family!"

"We were tricked by her! She's a liar!"

Hearing someone speak ill of Audrey, Hermione was the first to jump out.

"She was betrayed, hunted, and framed at eleven! How else was she supposed to survive if she didn't change her identity?"

Harry agreed as well. "Exactly! She relied on her own efforts, starting from scratch and working her way up step by step! She only hid her identity to survive!"

"That's right! We like her for who she is, not her status!"

...

On the battlefield.

Magni stopped his movements.

"You really are unusual, little girl,"

He looked at Hydrus with great interest.

"I don't know what you are, but in all these years, you're the first to take one of my punches head-on and not die!"

Hydrus had a strange expression and didn't respond to Magni.

She was still adapting to the newly acquired constitution.

The moment she took that punch, she had made contact with him...

In that instant, the so-called constitution of a god was no longer a secret in Hydrus's eyes.

So that was it!
