Chapter 12 - The first day at the Academy

The day of the entrance ceremony

Albert and Lucine were riding in the carriage. Albert was very happy, he's finally going to be in the academy. This marks the start of Silver Feathers. Lucine was almost as excited as him.

"Isn't it just wonderful Albert, you and me. We're going to the academy, we're going to learn even more magic, and when we graduate, we can finally marry." Lucine said, nuzzling against Albert.

"I know Lucine, I am positively bursting with excitement!" Albert yelled, his smile wider than ever before. Lucine clearly caught notice of this and smirked.

"Well, just so you know. I am looking forward to what we might learn." Lucine said, giggling.

"Oh looks like we are here, Lucine!" Albert said, as they finally arrived at the academy. It looked even more beautiful than it did in the game.

The academy was a primarily white building, somewhat shaped like a combination between an Arabian castle and an office building. It had a giant courtyard with a variety of plants in it, and there was a giant crowd of students there.

Albert walked out of the carriage, Lucine holding his hand tightly as they walked, Albert caught a few glances from some other people, most of them were mobs though, so he didn't pay them any concern. He looked around and spotted Steven.

"Yo, Steven! Wow, nice blue fur coat, is that from a blue bear?" Albert inquired, he didn't expect this.

"Indeed, I have to get ready of course, after all best friend. By the end of this year, I want to beat you!" Albert admired Steven's competitive spirit, but he can't focus on him now. He has to hook him up with Lilac, for the world's sake.

"Maybe later, best friend." Albert replied.

"Oh don't worry, I have plenty of chances to win." Steven said, irritation relevant in his voice. Albert was about to speak back, but then he heard an all too familiar horn, the entrance ceremony has begun.

All of the students gathered inside to the assembly room, a giant spacious room modified with magic to fit up to 500 people. A large, elderly bearded man walked out, the headmaster.

"Welcome all, to the Royal Academy. I am the headmaster of this establishment and I present to you all the start of a new year. Please be respectful to all new and returning students." His voice was clearly elderly with a slight southern accent. Lucine was looking at him with almost childlike awe and wonder.

"Now, I will now cast the Tier 4 spell Mass Message!" The Headmaster said as he casted the spell, and now Albert saw the name of his classroom, which he already knew. "Class 408".

"As you all now see, you now know the name of your classroom, please don't forget it." The Headmaster announced.

"My class is room 306, what's yours my dear Albert?" Lucine asked. Her voice was slightly husky as she turned to face him.

"Class 408." He replied.

"Oh, that's mine too!" Steven said from Albert's other side. Lucine smiled.

"Well at least one of your friends is with you." Lucine commented, with a content tone of voice. Though, it seems there is a hidden pang of envy within (Albert didn't notice that though).

"Now, all of you will learn how to fight with swords, how to use increased magic, and even learn some new skills. Good luck!" Said the Headmaster as he disappeared through a portal. After that, Albert and the other students got up to head to there respective classes.

---

Steven was excited to be in the same class as Albert. When he and Albert finally arrived inside that class, they knew it was going to be a fun year. Although Albert's smile told him 'this is going to be entertaining.' more than other things.

"Well Steven it looks like we aren't going to be next to eachother, not to worry I'm sure whoever is unlucky to be my seat mate will be able to be handled." Albert said, his tone of voice sounded like he was an adult. Steven was impressed, that gave him more motivation to beat Albert.

"Ok, Albert." Steven said. As they walked to their seats, Steven noticed a girl looking at Albert with a lewd smile. Steven didn't pay ot any mind, there are no assignments today after all.

--

"Heya Albert! ♡" Klarice said, a wink in her eye. Albert was enraged, he has to deal with this girl now every single day. But no matter, he won't fall for her tricks, he must ignore her.

"Get away from me, I thought I told you I'm not willing to do it with you." Albert said, struggling to keep his composure at this annoying deskmate. But Klarice just leaned in, her face touching his.

"Aw come on, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you. Don't you want to be a man?" Klarice said. Albert headbutted her with surprising force, causing a bruise to appear on her forehead.

"Owwww, Dat hurt. Is Dat a yes?♡" Klarice said, sounding slightly annoyed but still persisting. Albert started to feel a little like complying to Klarice. This confirmed his suspicions, she was either using magic or a skill, likely the latter since when using any kind of charm magic, you need flower pollen. And he didn't see any pollen.

"How many times do I have to say this you slut? No. The only time I am willing to have sex with someone is when I reach my second year in the academy. And I would like my first time to be with Lucine!" Albert yelled, the entire class looked at him. But he was more focused on Klarice who's face, once a charming seductive smile. Is now a grimace showing no positive emotions.

"Oh you think you can just resist my charms. Huh? Well you know what? Fuck you." Klarice's expression become a twisted smile, her pink eyes becoming dull as she laughed. "This just makes the chase all the more fun! I'll make you accept my reward, like the ones who came before you." Albert is getting really frustrated, he punched her in the face! He knows exactly what he is getting into, but if it meant getting away from this whore, damn the odds.

"Oh no, I punched a student, whatever will I do... I am just going to excuse myself to the headmaster office." Albert said, already walking away, but Klarice grabbed his shoulder, her nails starting to draw blood.

"He doesn't need to know! Just blame it on a spell being misfired, you aren't getting away from me that easy!♡" Klarice screamed, blood trickling down her face as she licked her lips and pressed up against Albert, but thankfully, the teacher of this class walked in. So Klarice frowned and sat back down on her seat.

"Hello class, my name is Mr. Harrison. I will be your teacher for this year. Now then, please go to your dorms, I will hand out your dorm keys." Albert waited for about 5 minutes before he got his dorm key. And as soon as he did, he walked straight to the dorm, not looking back, he didn't want to deal with Klarice. Unless if she is his roommate.

Thankfully when Albert opened up the door, inside the room was Miriam lying down on one of the beds. He is pleased since he has the "best friend character" as his roommate, he can gain more intel about Lilac.

"Well hello again, Miriam-san!" Albert said, forcing a smile.

"Hello, Albert.... Uh, what brings you here?" Miriam said, slight panic in her voice. Albert hopped onto his own bed, looking at her.

"Have you made contact with Lilac yet?" Albert inquired. Miriam quickly nodded.

"Yes, yes yes! Yes I did. She is a kind girl, she hasn't made any romantic contact with noble boys yet. See, I remembered, I am useful!" Albert felt a little sorry that Miriam appears to be insanely stressed, so he lowered his voice.

"Hey, don't stress about it too much. Tell you what, tomorrow I am planning to have a tea party with Steven Calyx, so how about you bring Lilac over. Then we can all relax. Sound good?" Albert asked.

"Yes, yes it does Albert." Miriam replied, her voice finally sounding genuinely calm. Maybe this will be easier than he predicted.
