Mei arched her back slightly, then pressed her face to Otis's neck and began breathing in his scent. Otis could feel her breath moving in and out and thought that this woman and he were both beyond saving now. He was beyond saving too. He lightly brushed the tip of his nose against Mei's soft earlobe and her face flushed red, her eyelashes trembling. But Mei didn't stop him and just lay sprawled on top of him like that. Outside, the sky slowly darkened and a silver moon hung above.The next day.After finishing her packing, Mei dragged her suitcase to the door early in the morning. Inside it was one of Otis's shirts. He hadn't given it to her; she had secretly taken it. Mei stood at the door and Otis was standing there too. Mei grabbed his shoulders, rose on tiptoe, and kissed him.
"Don't miss me too much. I'll be back soon. I'll bring you some local snacks when I come back."
