Two weeks later
"It's today." Rassera said as she hopped from foot to foot.
"It's today!" Maria said in excitement as she spun around her three friends, Rassera Dawnspire, Esmira Montain and Marina Chase in an open field.
"I can finally show the results of my training." Rassera said as she clenched her fists with a smile.
"Me too, Me too." Maria said as she raised her fists up and down.
"I see you are all having fun." Daeros said with a smile as all three of the girls teachers came to stand beside him.
"It's time for the interim sparring session." Daeros said with a clap of his hands and all four girls cheered.
"I trust that your teachers have flattened out your shortcomings and shown you better ways to utilize your power." Daeros said as he stood in the same ring that was used for the first sparring session.
"So without further ado, I would like to call Esmira Montain to the stage." Daeros said and Esmira stepped forward in her blue and white combat outfit and her bow with blue sapphires wrapped around it in a swirly design.
"This ring," Daeros said as he stamped his feet on the ground.
"Has been reinforced to stop the magic from leaking outside." Daeros said as he pointed to metal plates at the sides of the pillars.
"So you, as well as I, have free reign to display our full potential." Dearos said with an intimidating grin and Maria shivered in fear beside Princess Marina.
"Put up your best fight." Daeros said before Pyralex shouted "Begin" from outside the ring.
Expecting Daeros to run towards her, Esmira waited with her bow ready but while she was complacently waiting the ground beneath her opened and vines wrapped her up from her feet to her neck.
"Were the rules unclear?" Daeros asked with a tilt of his head as he stared at Esmira.
"Or were you waiting for me to attack before you displayed your powers?" Daeros asked Esmira.
"If you were waiting because you wanted to observe before retaliating, I commend your thinking but you have to remember that real life situations don't wait for you to think." Daeros said as he gently lifted Esmira from the ring with vines and placed her next to her friends.
"Rassera Dawnspire." called Daeros and Rassera straightened up.
"The stage awaits." Daeros said and Rassera took in a breath before opening her eyes.
Stepping into the ring, Rassera put on her gloves and the second Pyralex said "Begin!", Rassera launched herself at Daeros.
Not moving an inch, Daeros raised his hands and a large stump blocked Rassera's punch from hitting him.
Jumping backwards quickly to scrutinize her opponent, Rassera jumped upwards the minute she felt a tremor in the earth. Raising her hands, Rassera sent icicles to the ground to corner Daeros in one place.
Not wanting to be caged, Daeros left his spot and Rassera launched herself in his direction. Raising the same stump to protect himself again, Daeros was shocked when Rassera jumped on the head of the stump and threw a large icicle at him.
Using the vines to scatter the large icicle, Daeros did not have time to react when Rassera's gloves stopped inches away from where his heart was located.
"You have learned well." Daeros said with a smile and Rassera Dawnspire grinned.
"She's amazing." Maria said as she shook Esmira's shoulder in glee.
"She was magnificent." Esmira said with pride.
"She really showed the results of her training." Princess Marina said with a smile as she analyzed the fight in her head.
Rassera has always had good instinct but from this fight, Princess Marina could tell that her instincts had been honed to a higher degree. Her moves were no longer big and showy but precise and impactful.
"Her weak points have also reduced compared to last time." Princess Marina thought as Maria pulled Rassera into a hug.
"Maria Price." Daeros called and Maria matched into the ring.
"It's unfortunate that I can't participate in this match." Daeros said as he stepped out of the ring.
"Why?" Rassera asked in confusion.
"He doesn't want us to think that he is favoring her if he loses." Esmira said and Rassera's eyes widened in realization that Daeros teaches Maria personally.
"Your opponent today will be Rassera Dawnspire's teacher, Liora Althaea."
