The plains of Dracia were cast with few trees distributed unevenly.
Walking as carefully as she could, Princess Marina trained her eyes on the ground.
"I see one!" Rassera said as she bounded towards an animal with white feathers.
Seeing what Rassera was pointing at, Marina looked at the animal from her position at the back of the line and screamed "Wait!"
"That's not what we are hunting."
Ignoring Princess Marina completely, Rassera made a spike in thin air but once she pierced the animal, the animal shrieked and the plains of Dracia began to shake.
Back in the arena
"After all that trouble of explaining what the winged looked like." the announcer thought with a huff.
"The contestants have encountered a warner." the announcer said and the audience cheered as the ground began to open around the contestants.
"A warner has white feathers like the winged for the hunt this year but the difference lies within the eyes and the strip of hair on their heads." the announcer said as the audience trained their eyes on the black strip of her in the animal that Rassera Dawnspire killed.
"Unlike the winged, warners have no physical strength and their primary purpose is to warn the flock." the announcer said and huge trees began to grow around the contestants.
The plains of Dracia.
"Watch out!" Princess Marina said as she blew Rassera away with wind and a tree sprung up where she stood.
And while the ground was shaking giant black birds headed the contestants' way.
"Scatter!" Princess Marina yelled as the birds swooped down.
Back in the arena
"The Vanthex are birds that protect the plains of Dracia." said the announcer.
"They're vicious and there only purpose is to get rid of intruders." the announcer said as the black birds began to rain down hail.
"What a bad start." The announcer thought with a sigh as some of the contestants were caught by the ice.
30 minutes later.
For thirty minutes since the incident with the hail, Princess Marina has been jumping from tree to tree with the help of the wind but she has been unable to find a single earth type winged.
Dropping to the ground to conserve her strength, Princess Marina went to walk away before she heard a familiar voice.
Crouching down so she won't be spotted, Princess Marina tried not to make a sound as she peeked through the bushes.
"Quit this competition. Now!" Maldareth commanded in a low voice.
"That's not possible." Aleron said in the same low tone.
Rushing in between them to stop them from fighting, Aldric quickly said "It's impossible because the only way we can quit this competition is if we are badly injured or if time runs out."
"Without a deadly injury, the makarios stationed within the plains of Dracia will not let us forfeit the hunt." Aldric said, as he tried his best to diffuse the tension but Maldareth's aura grew darker.
"Is that your excuse?" Maldareth said with a grin as he stepped closer.
Seeing him step closer, Aleron immediately stepped in front of his brother in alarm but before Maldareth got too close, Princess Marina covered the surroundings in fog.
Grabbing his brother immediately, Aldric grabbed Aleron and escaped eastwards.
"Lost them?" asked Kaelrix Nyxar, the son of the Viscountess as he used the wind to blow away the fog.
"It's not like they matter."Jaelric Card said as he walked into Princess Marina's field of vision.
"Thirty minutes has passed since the start of the hunt, wouldn't it be wise to use your earth type abilities to detect them?" asked Jaelric Card, the son of the Baron of Avero.
"Shut up." Maldareth said in a calm tone.
"It's not an ability that you can just summon." Maldareth said with a glare.
"But you can try something, can't you?" Kaelrix asked and Maldareth sighed.
Huffing, Maldareth closed his eyes and once he opened them his eyes glowed.
"I can't visualize like my father does but I should be able to find some traces." Maldareth said as he looked around.
Stopping in front of what only he could see, Maldareth said "This way!" and all three boys began to run in the same direction.
Waiting for two minutes, Princess Marina stepped out of her hiding spot. Checking to see if they were still within reach, Princess Marina went to follow but stopped when she noticed the moist earth not too far from her position.
