Percival Vantaglio continued cracking jokes as he led them through the entire estate, keeping up a stream of charming banter that had even the usually reserved Moon chuckling more than once.
The property sprawled across roughly forty acres, a relatively large estate but far from the ostentatious scale of Sierra's highland valley. Large enough to provide space and privacy, modest enough that it didn't scream for attention or demand an Ascender's fortune to maintain.
And it had everything Moon was looking for.
The privacy was excellent, the entire perimeter wrapped in high stone walls layered with a proper runemaster's defensive formation, shimmering wards that would alert against intrusion and repel unwanted guests.
The grounds were spacious, manicured gardens near the main residence that lead to open fields and a small wooded stretch toward the rear, providing plenty of room for Mirage to gallop and Honeybun to roam without ever drawing an outsider's eye.
