Being back in the city was a strange experience for Kenneth.
On one hand, there was the familiarity of it all with the original Kenneth's memories, as well as it being the first place he'd been dropped into upon his "rebirth" or "reincarnation", or whatever the fuck.
There was also that jarring, out-of-body and out-of-this-world feeling, an all-encompassing sense of loss and confusion upon looking at the bustling streets and the bright billboards and hill of shops surrounding the neighbourhood.
He knew he didn't belong here. But then again, Kenneth Sanchez had felt like that for a long time. an identity tied to duty and control. To violence and false hope. The sensation only grew as they walked off, the Shuttle shrinking with each step.
