Chapter 15 - Non-existent skills

'Is this because I haven't properly learned how to walk yet, so I can't use Agility yet? I wondered. But then what about Mana Sensitivity?'

'How do I even unlock it? Or will it unlock itself automatically?'

I wore a confused expression as these thoughts ran through my mind. No matter how much I thought about it, I couldn't find an answer.

The system notifications that usually popped up to give me guidelines or hints seemed completely silent this time. It was just like before, when I was checking my skills and abilities.

'This means I can't add points to Agility or Mana Sensitivity yet. If that's the case, I'll just stockpile the attribute points for now.

I don't want to appear too monstrous or scare my mother—or the rest of the family.'

I thought to myself.

Even though I was still new to this kind of life, I didn't want to overdo things and draw unnecessary attention, especially with the fact I was being seen as some kind of monster in the village.

After adding the points I already had earlier, I could clearly feel myself increase in strength. If I added any more right now, it might cause more harm than good.

I placed both my hands on the gap in my wooden baby cradle and clenched tightly.

"Hnmm…"

I felt it immediately—my hands were slowly making dents into the wood.

"Huff!"

I stared at the dent marks in the cradle, then down at my tiny, red, flushed baby hands in shock and astonishment. They soon returned to a healthy pink color, but I still couldn't believe what I had just done.

With these tiny hands, I had performed something completely inhuman.

If this were Earth, I would probably be described as a super baby or something, I thought.

'Damn… is this what it feels like to be strong?'

Even back on Earth, I wouldn't be able to do this without seriously injuring myself. Especially with the fact I was barely more than two weeks old, which was even more amazing.

The wooden cradle was far sturdier than any wood on Earth. I didn't know exactly how much stronger it was, but I knew for sure that no baby should be capable of doing what I had just done.

'This is it.'

I smiled to myself as I clenched my little fists.

With this system, I can finally achieve an unfathomable dream in this world.

Earlier That Day….

A few seconds after I finished cultivating the cursed meditation technique, something suddenly clicked in my mind—an epiphany of sorts. At the same time, I noticed two notifications pop up at the top of my system panel.

[Hidden Quest Completed]

[Host has Cultivated Cursed Eyes]

*Rewards*

[Host has received 100 Exp points]

[+5 extra attribute points]

After letting my eyes roam over the first notification, my expression twisted into pure euphoria as I noticed the second one.

[Cursed One has received 50 Exp]

[Cursed One has leveled up]

[+1 attribute point has been added to all Host Attributes]

I felt incredibly excited. While I already knew that drinking milk and cultivating gave me EXP and attribute points, I had no idea what leveling up would do—until now.

[System Type: Cursed System»]

[Host]

[Attributes]

[Bloodline, Abilities, and Skills]

[Quests Distributed: Main, Daily]

[Shop]

With excitement and curiosity, I opened the Host Attributes interface.

{Host Attributes}

Level: 2

Name: Ragna Ringwood

Titles: Cursed One

Race: Unknown

Exp: 60/500

HP: 100/100

[Attributes]

Mana: 15

Strength: 14

Perception: 14

Vitality: 14

Agility: Null

Mana Sensitivity: Null

{Attribute Points: 31}

'It truly added… leveling up really does increase every attribute stat.'

I thought, staring at the panel with a fierce look.

As I studied it, I began forming a plan.

Since the system allows me to level up, gaining EXP will naturally give me more attribute points, with each level up.

And now that I know this function exists, I have all the time I need to grind attributes—at least before the system glitches out or stops working altogether.

I mentally noted the increase in both EXP and attribute points. From that moment on, I decided I would start my cultivation journey, cultivate diligently and gather enough EXP to continue leveling up.

Before I forget… the system said I cultivated Cursed Eyes.

The ability immediately caught my attention.

'What exactly is Demon Eyes? Would I grow another pair of eyes?'

Recently, I had already grown an extra pair of eyes without fully understanding why. Maybe this ability could explain it—or at least give me a hint.

After some thought, I opened the B.A.S. interface, Bloodline, Abilities, and Skills.

My eyes scanned the list until they landed on Cursed Eyes, near the bottom.

I stared at it for a moment, wondering if more information would appear—and then it did.

»Cursed Eyes - Level 1

(Features: X-Ray Vision, Night Vision, Mana Vision)

[Each effect allows the Cursed One to perform different feats depending on time, area, and range of application]

The more I read, the more amazed I became.

When I was done, I realized something startling—I must have subconsciously activated the ability earlier. I could see dark areas as clearly as daylight.

'Is this Night Vision… or X-Ray Vision?'

Although I could use the ability, I had no idea how to distinguish between its different functions yet.
