Chapter 95 - Chapter 95 Waiter Standards

"What the hell is all this stuff?!" Mai Ge raised an eyebrow, surprised that an agency would post such notices.

Although it was morning, the agency was already packed with people of all races—humans, orcs, demons, and even angels—all huddled under the walls plastered with job postings, carefully examining them. Every now and then, someone would call out a number and chat with the staff next to them. They all seemed to be looking for work, and they got along quite harmoniously.

A succubus approached, winking at Mai Ge. Seeing he ignored her, she quickly looked away, her gaze sweeping over the "special" section. Her eyes lit up, and she called out to the agency, "Boss, I want to try out this girlfriend. I think I can get 10 gold coins."

"Coming." someone inside immediately responded. A balding middle aged man with a mustache jogged out, glancing at Mai Ge and Amy before smiling at the succubus. "Miss Barba, don't worry about 10 gold coins, even 15 would be more than enough. Please come in and register, we'll notify the employer today, and you can start work today."

"Okay." the succubus nodded, tossing her fiery red hair at Mai Ge before swaying her waist as she walked inside.

The overpowering scent of cheap perfume made Mai Ge frown. He'd seen all kinds of women in his life, but he had no interest in this kind of heavily made up, self important bi**h.

His tastes have changed several times with age, but he has never been able to grasp the allure of this type of woman, and even feels some aversion to them. Although she is also a succubus, he appreciated the domineering older woman from last time a bit more, but of course, it was just appreciation.

"Hmph." Amy glanced warily at the succubus, slowly withdrawing her hand. This woman, her face frighteningly white, was trying to seduce her father. If she dared to take another step closer, she'd give her a taste of fireball spell.

"Hello, sir, I'm Chris, the owner of Guang Luo Agency. How can I help you?" The balding middle aged man smiled at Mai Ge, also giving Amy a smile.

The cute half elf girl surprised him a little. Judging from her clothes, Mai Ge seemed to be a wealthy patron.

Moreover, having a half elf daughter indicates considerable wealth. After all, men who marry elves usually find themselves in an awkward position, let alone flaunting their half elf daughter in public. This suggests he still control the family finances.

"I want to hire a waiter for the restaurant." Mai Ge initially thought this agency was unreliable, but then he thought, this is another world after all, and there's a red light district behind Aden Square that's open everyday, so this kind of thing isn't a big deal. This agency is relatively large, so it should have more talent resources.

"Well, are there any specific requirements?" Chris nodded and explained, "Among the people we have at our agency who are interested in working as waiters, we divide them into three levels: 1. Average looks, hardworking and reliable, with slightly lower salary expectations; 2. Average looks, diligent and capable, with average salary expectations; 3. Beautiful looks, humans, succubus, angels... all three can be chosen, with higher salary expectations, a focus on restaurant branding, slightly higher requirements for working hours, and relatively less demanding in terms of endurance."

"So, is appearance the only factor that determines salary?" Mai Ge raised an eyebrow. It seems that even those who aren't hardworking can earn high salaries just because they're good looking. It really is a world that judges people by their looks.

"Many restaurants can significantly increase their revenue by hiring a pretty waitress. If it's a beautiful succubus waitress, beverage sales can easily double. So it's a worthwhile investment." Chris's voice seemed to carry a hint of temptation as he smiled and said, "As for the work, you can hire two more reliable and hardworking waiters. Wouldn't that be killing two birds with one stone?"

"Do you have information on second level waiters? I'd like to take a look." Mai Ge shook his head slightly. Men understood what Chris meant, but he never thought of relying on a few glamorous waitresses to increase the restaurant's customer traffic. He looked down on those kinds of bi**hes. What he needed now was a waitress who was quick and efficient, didn't talk much, and could handle the high intensity work of serving three meals a day. Of course, she couldn't be too scary looking either, at least the waiter should be pleasing to the eye for customers.

If he found an employee who met these criteria, he wouldn't mind paying her a higher salary. After all, the restaurant's business was steadily improving, and increasing overall efficiency would definitely be more profitable than paying one employee's salary. His restaurant didn't need pretty faces.

"Oh, okay, please come in. There's a meeting room on the second floor, you can take your time looking around." Chris nodded, leading Mai Ge inside.

Half an hour later, Mai Ge led Amy out with a hint of disappointment. There was indeed a lot of information, but Mai Ge couldn't find one that he liked. They were either too old or lacked a certain charm. In addition to being hardworking and capable, it would be best if their demeanor could also match the restaurant's style, so that the guests' dining experience would be improved.

"Boss Mai, I'll keep an eye out for you. If I find someone who meets your requirements, I'll have someone contact you as soon as possible." Chris followed him out and said with a smile. If Mai Ge hadn't seemed like he wasn't deliberately looking for trouble, he would have been about to curse him out. He had spent half an hour looking at the information with him, but in the end, he didn't find any of them to his liking.

"Okay, thank you." Mai Ge nodded.

"Goodbye, Uncle Bird's Nest." Amy waved her little hand at Chris.

"Go...goodbye…" Chris's facial muscles twitched. What was this "Uncle Bird's Nest" nonsense? But he still managed a smile.

After buying goat milk at the market to feed the Ugly Duckling, Mai Ge took Amy to an intelligence gathering shop, an agency run by humans similar to a private detective agency. He spent ten gold coins to investigate Crassus and the owner of the magic potion shop next door, the more detailed the better.

Both of these guys coveted Amy, so he wanted to find out their background first, to see if they were good or bad.

Mai Ge didn't have time to gather information himself, so hiring a professional was obviously a good choice. After all, the price could be offset by a few Rou Jia Mo, much simpler than trying to sneak over their wall himself.

"Daddy, can we go down to the academy now?" Amy looked up at Mai Ge. They had been to two places in a row, and the Ugly Duckling in her arms was about to fall asleep.

"Yes, let's go now." Mai Ge smiled and nodded, helping Amy put the Ugly Duckling in the small basket. The little one, snuggled into the soft towel, soon fell asleep.
