Chapter 93 - Chapter 93 I, Amy, Am Super Fierce!!!

Amy thought about it seriously, looked at Mai Ge and said, "I want two little braids, and I want to wear the purple dress with flowers on the chest, and white shoes. Wouldn't that make me look like the Mushroom Little Elf?"

"Yes, that'll make you an even cuter Amy Little Elf than the Mushroom Little Elf." Mai Ge nodded with a smile, got up, took Amy's little dress out of the closet and helped her change, then skillfully tied her hair into two little braids. After practicing for a while, tying hair was now a piece of cake for Mai Ge.

However, Amy was quite satisfied with this hairstyle and showed no intention of changing it, so he hadn't had a chance to show off any other hairstyles.

Wearing her white shoes, Amy twirled around in place, looking at Mai Ge and saying, "Daddy, does this look good?"

"Yes, you really are a super pretty little elf." Mai Ge's eyes lit up, and he nodded seriously, even cuter than the elf in the music box.

"Meow~" The Ugly Duckling came closer, gently rubbing its head against Amy's leg. It had been meowing for so long without anyone paying attention, and it was feeling a little aggrieved.

"Ugly Duckling, don't waste the dress. It won't make you prettier anyway." Amy said, bending down to pick up the Ugly Duckling and sighing.

"Meow meow~" The Ugly Duckling raised its paws to its face, widening its eyes and meowing cutely, trying to prove it wasn't ugly.

"It looks even uglier like this." Amy reached out and turned its face away with a look of disgust.

"Meow~" The Ugly Duckling turned its face away, its eyes filled with despairing tears.

Mai Ge shook his head with a smile. If it was a different owner, the cute little orange cat would definitely be pampered to the extreme. But with Amy, it's just a food reserve for now, and she puts on a show of various ways to abuse the cat everyday.

After washing up and going downstairs, Mai Ge glanced at the door. There were still a few customers peering through the glass window. When they saw Mai Ge, their faces lit up with surprise, and soon there was a knock on the door.

"System, do you sell adjustable blinds?" Mai Ge frowned slightly, suddenly feeling the need to add something to the glass windows when the business was closed, otherwise he always felt like he was being spied on.

"The host does not currently have permission for this system to modify the restaurant. If you want to modify the restaurant, you can upgrade it to level 1. The system will then modify the restaurant once for free within a certain range." The system's serious voice sounded.

"Then measure the dimensions of that floor to ceiling window for me." Mai Ge said calmly.

"6.5 meters long, 3.6 meters high." the system replied quickly.

"Then give me a pair of adjustable blinds of this size and the matching installation parts." Mai Ge nodded.

"This system repeats itself: the host does not currently have permission for this system to modify the restaurant." the system said sternly.

"So, did I ask you to modify it from beginning to end? I just wanted to buy it. Don't be so eager. Aren't you a proper gourmet system?" Mai Ge curled his lip, with a hint of sarcasm.

"..." The system silently displayed an ellipsis, then solemnly declared, "This system is a proper chef god system, it doesn't provide blinds."

"5 gold coins?" Mai Ge asked calmly.

"A proper system." the system emphasized.

"6 gold coins. Any higher, and I'll just buy a bamboo venetian blind. A natural-colored bamboo venetian blind looks quite nice hanging up." Mai Ge raised an eyebrow, his voice still calm.

The system remained silent, seemingly struggling, before hesitatingly asking, "Add some more?"

"No." Mai Ge replied, a slight smirk playing on his lips. This system was indeed shameless, he flatly refused.

"Add 4 more gold coins, and this system can provide venetian blinds that perfectly match the color and materials of this restaurant. They have an automatic lifting design, perfectly concealing the blinds when closed and blocking all prying eyes when lowered. A complete set of installation tools will also be provided, with precise positioning and drilling, making installation foolproof. Your satisfaction is guaranteed." the system said in a tempting voice.

"Forget it, it's too heavy. I can't lift a four meter long blind at all, and installing it myself is even more impractical. I'd better go out and find a conscientious seller who can deliver to my door and install it for free." Mai Ge shook his head, a little regretful.

The system fell silent again.

"Daddy, look, the guests are here again. Aren't we not open for business today?" Amy looked up at Mai Ge, puzzled, as she watched the guests peering through the windows and knocking on the door.

"Yes, we're not open today, but they still want to come and eat. Have a seat, I'll get you a glass of water and then make breakfast." Mai Ge smiled and nodded, then turned and walked into the kitchen.

The sign at the entrance already explained it very clearly. Mai Ge planned to explain it to the remaining customers when he went out later, but he figured he would inevitably hear a lot of sighs and complaints again.

Mai Ge didn't rush to urge the silent system. He was simply too lazy to do it himself, installing such a large, adjustable venetian blind by himself was impractical. But the automatic lifting design would require a lot of explanation if he asked someone else for help. Naturally, having the system handle the installation was the simplest solution.

"Why can't these guys let Daddy have a good rest for a day? Besides, we're going to see Teacher Luna today." Amy muttered to herself, glancing back at Mai Ge. She clenched her little fists and carried the Ugly Duckling towards the door.

There were still a dozen or so customers outside. Some hadn't come for dinner yesterday and hadn't heard Mai Ge's explanation, while others had come early this morning hoping to try their luck, may be Mai Ge would open the door if he saw so many customers.

However, the restaurant, which usually opens at 7:30, remained closed at that time today. Seeing the countdown timer on the door, and after waiting for quite a while with no sign of opening, many customers left on their own. After all, it's not worth disrupting one's daily routine for breakfast.

Some guests who had walked a long way to get here were somewhat unwilling to leave without eating, so a dozen or so stayed behind. They discussed saying something nice to Mai Ge, or perhaps making a few harsh words, to get each of them a Rou Jia Mo before they left.

Sargeras was also in the crowd. He had good luck yesterday and completed a high level quest, killing three flamingos and earning a bounty of 80 gold coins. He saved some gold coins to have breakfast today. However, such quests don't come everyday, and success on the first try depends on luck. So, he reduced his original plan of having ten Rou Jia Mo per meal to five.

He had heard Mai Ge's explanation yesterday, but before accepting his new quest, he still wanted to try his luck. He stood at the back of the crowd, not in a hurry to go forward.

When everyone heard Mai Ge come downstairs, they all looked expectantly towards the door, hoping that Mai Ge would change his mind after seeing their enthusiasm.

"Ding-a-ling"

The bell at the door rang once, and the door slowly opened. The expectant gazes of the crowd were disappointed, the door moved halfway down before they saw Amy, holding her little orange kitten with a cold expression.

"The restaurant is closed today. My Daddy and I are going to see Teacher Luna. Let's come back tomorrow for delicious rainbow fried rice and Rou Jia Mo." Amy said coldly, then raised her small hand in front of her and said seriously, "If you knock again, I'm going to throw a fireball! I, Amy, am super fierce!!!"
