Chapter 130 - Chapter 130 Obadiah: I’m going to the morning class!

Peter looked at Gwen, who had just transformed into a shapely humanoid pterodactyl, and couldn't help but scratch his head. He turned to Ethan, his voice full of confusion: "Boss, how many other alien heroes are there? Why is every transformation different?"

Ethan shrugged helplessly, giving a wry smile: "Who knows?"

Gwen first opened the window, then flapped her wings, creating a strong gust of wind that scattered the documents on the table.

Immediately after, her figure shot into the night sky like an arrow released from a bowstring, leaving Peter and Ethan staring at each other in bewilderment.

In the night sky above New York City, the Iron Man Suit's thrusters spewed out a blazing blue light, and Tony Stark streaked across the city's skyline like a meteor.

The silver-gray Mark II Iron Man Suit's surface gleamed with a cold, hard metallic luster, and the Arc Reactor on his chest emitted a faint blue glow, providing an endless supply of power for this initial Iron Man Suit.

The thrusters shot out bright flames, and he was like a brilliant meteor in the night sky, streaking across the city's skyline.

The strong wind constantly buffeted the Iron Man Suit's face mask, and Tony, feeling the thrill of his adrenaline surging, couldn't help but whistle.

Of course, he was actually quite scared just now.

He was overly confident in the Iron Man Suit he had built, forgetting about high-altitude icing, and rapidly advanced, intending to try and see what the highest point this Iron Man Suit could reach was.

As a result, upon reaching a certain altitude, the low temperature caused a thick layer of ice to rapidly condense on the Iron Man Suit's surface, directly leading to the thruster system going offline, and his butler, Jarvis, temporarily shutting down as well.

Fortunately, Jarvis restarted before he landed, and the Iron Man Suit regained its thrust, which prevented him from crashing into a meat patty wrapped in tinfoil.

"Looks like I need to upgrade this Iron Man Suit properly; preventing icing will require different materials," Tony muttered, adjusting his flight posture.

After circling the city a few more times, Tony felt a bit disappointed.

He had hoped to encounter the controversial Little Spider during his flight.

From some photos, it was clear that the opponent's web fluid was a high-strength, disposable material that could even biodegrade on its own.

Tony thought this was a pretty good technology that could be applied to many aspects of architecture.

It was just a pity, he thought.

After several rounds of flying, although he was still immersed in the thrill of speed, the thought of returning home also arose.

He had already decided which aspects of this Iron Man Suit he should upgrade next.

Just as the Iron Man Suit was turning around, preparing for its return journey, a dazzling red-gold light flashed past his left side like lightning.

The powerful airflow impacted the Iron Man Suit, and Tony's body suddenly tilted to one side. He quickly controlled his direction, his eyes behind the mask wide open: "Damn it! What was that?"

At this moment, the Iron Man Suit's speed was close to 300 kilometers per hour. How fast must that figure have been to brush past him at such a speed?

He thought he was hallucinating, or that it was an illusion caused by high-speed flight, but before he could recover, the red-gold figure zipped back from his right side like a streak of lightning.

This time he saw it clearly: it was a red figure with yellow wings.

"It's not an illusion..." Tony's Adam's apple bobbed, and cold sweat seeped from the back of his neck.

Realizing someone was following him, he knew he had to shake them off as quickly as possible.

"Jarvis! Increase the Arc Reactor's power! We're accelerating!"

"Executing, sir." As soon as the AI's mechanical voice fell, the Mark II Iron Man Suit's thrusters spewed out surging blue flames.

The cluster of skyscrapers became a blurry stream of light in his vision, and the wind pressure pressed the face mask tightly against his helmet.

Tony could even hear some unusual noises from the Iron Man Suit's joints, which were damages caused by his previous sprint to maximum altitude.

However, when he caught a glimpse of the red-gold figure trailing him like a shadow, his composure almost broke.

Not only was the opponent not shaken off, but it was also playing with him, sometimes diving past his feet, sometimes hovering directly above the Iron Man Suit like an unfalling satellite.

Seeing this, Tony Stark suddenly pulled up, rocketing into the sky.

He tried to use sudden braking to shake off his pursuer, but the figure seemed to have already seen through his intentions, flexibly adjusting its posture and following him vertically upwards.

The Mark II Iron Man Suit's alarms blared incessantly, energy consumption data flashed wildly, cold sweat beaded on Tony's forehead, and his breathing inside the mask became rapid and heavy.

"Jarvis! Maximum power!" Tony roared through gritted teeth.

The Iron Man Suit's thrusters erupted with an even more dazzling blue light. He no longer hesitated, suddenly diving downwards, heading towards the city's densest district.

Skyscrapers rapidly enlarged before his eyes. He piloted the Iron Man Suit through narrow gaps between buildings, narrowly scraping past billboards and tower cranes.

He hoped that these complex terrains would serve as a barrier to shake off his pursuer. He knew that, as a novice who had just learned to fly, these maneuvers were already high-difficulty operations for him.

However, when he looked back with hope, the red-gold figure was still following him unhurriedly.

Tony still wanted to try, but the Mark II Iron Man Suit's alarm blared in his ears like a death knell, and Jarvis's cold prompt instantly calmed Tony down.

Jarvis: "Sir, energy remaining 17%. Continuing at such high speed will prevent us from returning."

Tony gritted his teeth, making one last attempt to sharply turn and shake off the red-gold figure that clung to him like a persistent shadow.

But... the result was obvious, he failed.

Taking a deep, helpless breath, Tony said: "Jarvis, return to normal speed."

After the speed returned to normal, Tony no longer cared if someone was following him and flew directly towards his Villa.

If he didn't go back soon, he would fall into the city center or the sea due to insufficient energy.

Gwen, transformed into Jetray, hovered in the air, her wide wing membranes gently flapping, maintaining balance.

She looked at the somewhat dejected silver figure not far away and tilted her head.

"Did I play too much?"

On the other side, Tony was flying the Mark II Iron Man Suit through the night sky, but at this moment, he no longer had the initial joy.

"Jarvis," Tony took a deep breath, trying to calm the frustration in his heart, "remind me to add an external core as an energy driver in subsequent Iron Man Suit developments."

What happened this time reminded him that the small Arc Reactor in his chest was mainly to ensure that the shrapnel in his body did not enter his heart.

Using just this one to simultaneously handle two tasks was a bit excessive.

He would then specifically connect a more powerful Arc Reactor to the Iron Man Suit, making his Iron Man Suit's energy output higher and its flight speed faster.

Gwen, still flying, never imagined that she had somehow, inexplicably, messed things up for Obadiah.
