Chapter 32 - Casper's dumb commision that handicaps Klein even more.

Audrey turned her gaze to The Sun and asked hastily, "Can you exchange information related to the dragon race?"

"Sure," answered The Sun, after a moment he quickly added, "But I want the Sequence 8 potion formula for the Bard Pathway."

He wanted to use this exchange for information on the world where Justice and The Hanged Man lived, but since he was nearing the digestion of his potion he made advancement his top priority.

Audrey wasn't surprised by The Sun's request. Since the acting method had proliferated across Silver City, it was no surprise that The Sun was close to the end of digesting his potion. Seeking the subsequent potion formula was definitely one of his highest priorities.

I wonder how the Bard acts? Sing poetry every day? When encountering combat, dodge to the side and use his singing to bring courage and strength to his companions? Or perhaps he would first bless himself before charging forward with a hammer or sword raised? I wonder if it will bring about an improvement in his singing ability. If it's possible, then he would definitely be an outstanding singer or opera singer…

Audrey thought with great interest. She purposely didn't express her stance in a hurry, so as to not let The Sun raise the price again having learned from the sleazy tricks of The Emperor.

"I will try my best to find the Sequence 8 potion formula corresponding to the Bard pathway, but it won't be today. Are you satisfied with this condition?" Audrey said in deliberation before looking at the seat of honor at the ancient table. "We can seek Mr. Fool's help to bear witness to this agreement."

At that moment, Klein laughed and replied, "Miss Justice, perhaps I can provide the Light Suppliant formula for you."

Audrey's eyes lit up as she quickly nodded slightly.

"Thank you, Mr. Fool!" She earnestly replied, before falling silent. She seemed to fall into a dilemma and after a great amount of hesitation asked.

"What should I use to exchange with you?"

I haven't thought of it yet… but Klein still chuckled and said, "Don't worry; perhaps my adorers will require help in certain matters in the future."

His thoughts were very simple.

If he allowed Miss Justice to obtain the formula of Light Suppliant in her Beyonder circles, then wouldn't the knowledge he had stolen from the Eternal Blazing Sun at the cost of near immolation be for naught?

"Alright, I will do my best to help them!" Audrey promised happily.

Klein pressed his hands together and a yellowish-brown piece of goatskin parchment appeared before him. On it was the formula for the Light Suppliant potion, including substitute ingredients and their ancient names. Furthermore, they were all translated to Jotun.

"Main ingredients: a piece of Brilliance Rock or powder of Dazzling Soul; Blood of a Mirror Hedgehog or the Heart of a Magma Titan; Supplementary ingredients: a Golden-edged Sunflower, three drops of Aconite Juice…"

With a gentle wave, the goatskin appeared in front of the Sun.

Although he could pray to Mr. Fool to recall the formula even if he forgot it completely, Derrick still diligently memorized the formula. It took him quite a while before he said, "Miss Justice, we can talk about the dragons."

"Mr. Fool, I seek your permission to speak with Mr. Sun alone." Audrey quickly raised her hand.

She originally believed that The Sun would put the appropriate content on paper for her to read, but it would be inconvenient for her to ask questions. She would have to pen her questions and push them back to him. Such a way of communication was utterly cumbersome.

"Alright."

The moment that was said, Klein isolated The Hanged Man, preventing him from seeing or hearing.

Alger had a certain interest in the knowledge of the dragons, but his funds were low — courtesy of Mr. Emperor, so he remained silent and waited for their discussion to end.

At that moment, Casper seemed to have a certain thought. He raised his head and asked indifferently, "Mr. Hanged Man, do you know about the King of The Five Seas — Nast Solomon?"

Alger stayed silent for a moment, stunned at the sudden discussion but nevertheless remained calm.

"Yes, I vaguely know him," he replied, his understanding born of the Church of The Lord of Storms files on the man.

Casper nodded, his eyes beamed as he asked imperatively. "I want you to look into Nast's Soloman's father — Savigny Solomon. I want you to try and find out the circumstances behind his death and his sudden disappearance from history. Will you accept this commission?"

The Hanged Man, Alger weighed his options.

On one hand, such an investigation would draw many eyes. He would say so himself that even the King of the Five Seas might descend upon him once he learned of his inquiry.

On the other hand, this commission might earn him a hefty reward.

In the end, Alger's greed outweighed his rationale and he solemnly nodded.

"I'll accept…. but what is my gratuity?"

Casper acknowledged his question, returning a curt nod, "This commission is slightly risky, so how about I provide you the formula for Sequence 4 once you've digested your Sequence 5 potion."

Alger's eyes gleamed in happiness, "I accept."

"Good. The only clue I have of him is that he's connected to Emperor Roselle."

Casper leaned his head back and let out a sigh, it seemed he had yet another thing to steal from Klein.

He had to make sure he got his hands on the Blasphemy Card of the Tyrant Pathway before Klein.

Although he wasn't that worried, Alger advanced to Sequence 4 near the end of the novel and he was a mere Seafarer right now.

So he still had time.

Alger alternatively had a smile on his face but his inner thoughts were quite different. Nast Soloman's father is connected to Emperor Roselle? Was the information in the diary pertaining to him? Why is Mr. Emperor interested in him so suddenly?

Thoughts like this plagued his mind.

Miss Justice's discussion was wrapping up when Klein heard about the sudden commission from The Emperor.

Is there something about Savigny I don't know? Does Mr. Emperor believe Savigny isn't dead and is curious about his whereabouts?

Klein couldn't muster up any more theories about the pirate, most of his speculations hitting walls. In the end, he gave up trying to decipher Casper's mysterious commission.

Soon, The Sun's and Justice's discussion ended and he dispelled the isolation.

After a few more exchanges, Klein announced the end of this week's Tarot Club.

After sending them off, he didn't linger any longer and quickly exited his bathroom.

In West Borough, the humble apartment of Casper.

Casper picked up his pocketwatch and flicked it open to witness the time — seeing that it was nearing 4:00, his eyes darkened.

I hope Daly's convinced to join Caissa, the part week must've been hard on her but it was necessary. If she still is hesitant upon joining… well that's a loss. I would lose a good member.

His thoughts then shifted to something else that was weighing on his mind.

I have to create an alt account soon, I know Klein created one with the help of a Marionettist characteristic. So it seems I have to hunt some Secret Order Beyonders.

Casper stretched his body before leaving for the Nation of Disorder.
