"No matter what, I love you," Uchel told me. "I'm sorry I brought you into this."
"You couldn't have known when we left that we would find a mess here." I told him. I could see that he was disappointed. He was hoping to find family who loved him and instead found people who would use him for something he had no control over.
"Don't worry too much. We are here with you to help fix this." Gine said. "And once we deal with this we can go home."
"The question now is how we plan to deal with it." Ocello said. "Eomi asked that you accept the sun piece from your grandmother. But it would be unwise to just accept it without witnesses."
Gine nodded.
"We need to make sure that the gifting is explicit. It sounds like when Adin turned over leadership to Than, he had to do it quickly, without any fanfare." Gine said.
"The lack of turn over may have protected Than and his children for a little while, but even I could see that Tris is getting more ambitious." Cuau said.
