Mephisto looked toward young Thanos. "You know, Thanos, the world isn't always what you see in front of you. You'll understand when you dig deeper but digging won't always uncover what you expect."
Mephisto laughed as if he had gone crazy, then he looked toward the direction of his variants.
"Now I don't care. It's time to launch Plan B. Anyway, everything is about destruction, so why worry about some clones?"
Young Thanos looked toward the crazed Mephisto. He had a feeling this guy was about to do something more destructive than he had imagined.
"Damn it, I have to leave this place; otherwise, I might pay the price."
Thinking this, Thanos disappeared. Sigurd was observing the surrounding situation, but he did not want to interfere with the process of breaking the barrier of the First Firmament.
"Let him break the barrier. Its energy might help restore the damaged worlds."
Just as the Doom variants began to battle, the Mephisto variants looked at the situation and knew their plan might have failed.
One of the Mephisto variants looked toward the battle. "We may have to retreat. The Mephisto of Earth-616 never explained what is on the opposite side of the barrier. He only said there would be energy to elevate our power, but I don't sense such a thing."
Another variant looked furious. "Why don't we attack him? He must be near the barrier. He's been avoiding the battle but has absorbed much of the energy from the ruined worlds."
Hearing this, the other variants nodded in agreement. They escaped from the battle and began to search for Mephisto.
Mephisto of Earth-616 was standing in front of the barrier as if waiting for the other variants.
"You finally couldn't hold back and came to attack me."
He looked toward the variants as if he had been expecting them.
"You are all so predictable. Let me finish you off so no one can accuse me of being cruel even to myself."
He released a demonic energy that surrounded more than a hundred variants, trapping them in a magical circle.
Suddenly, a huge amount of demonic energy began to flow out of the hundred variants, and their loud cries resounded throughout the God Quarry.
Everyone battling near the Avengers Tower suddenly felt something immense approaching from the bottom of the God Quarry.
Ant-Man Tony Stark realized that many Mephisto variants were missing.
"Everyone, move toward the barrier! The Mephisto variants are at the bottom of the quarry trying to break it!"
Hearing this, everyone including Odin felt a threatening presence approaching the world. But then Odin looked toward his brother, who was walking toward the bottom of the quarry in a relaxed manner.
He suddenly sensed that Sigurd was allowing the barrier to be broken, as if he had been waiting for it.
Firehair, who possessed the Phoenix energy, felt a great threat from the barrier, as if it were holding the world together.
"Everyone, quickly march toward the barrier! I have a feeling that if it breaks, the world may face great destruction."
Hearing Firehair's words, everyone began to march toward the bottom of the barrier.
Supreme Doom, who had been following Mephisto of Earth-616, was waiting in the shadows to seize an opportunity. He was surprised to see Mephisto killing his own variants.
"This guy is more cruel than I thought. Let him work, but the final blow will be mine."
At the same time, Mephisto now absorbing the power from his variants, which they had taken from ruined worlds began to grow into a gigantic, mutated version of himself. He looked toward the circle and saw every variant had turned to dust.
Then he looked toward the barrier.
Mephisto, in his gigantic form, began pounding on the barrier. With his increased strength, the barrier which had not budged before began to show signs of cracking.
Mephisto did not stop pounding. Just as the barrier was about to break, Supreme Doom appeared in front of Mephisto.
"Mephisto, you are quite the mastermind. You even played your own variants to achieve your goal, but you have still failed. After all, the power from the other side belongs to me and only me."
Just as Mephisto was about to speak, the Avengers and the others reached the barrier.
Supreme Doom looked at the newcomers.
"So, you even let everyone know about this place. I don't care, but you shouldn't interfere with my plan."
He gazed at the barrier as if it were his property.
Just as everyone was looking toward the barrier with fear and some with greed. Mephisto slowly stopped his hand a few inches from the barrier. He turned toward Doom, then to Sigurd.
"Sigurd, you are quite a unique person, but I underestimated you, as always. Even in the future timeline, I could never understand you."
Sigurd looked toward Mephisto, who spoke as if to a friend. He didn't think he had any dealings with Mephisto, and it confused him. Just as he was about to ask something.
Mephisto looked toward Doom.
"Doom, don't you want to know what is on the opposite side? I annihilated almost every variant of myself to break this barrier. Then listen: there is raw energy that can elevate anyone to new heights but there is a catch."
Mephisto looked at Doom, whose eyes sparkled at the mention of power, but he knew there was more.
"If the barrier is broken, everything including the multiverse will be destroyed. Even me."
Hearing this, everyone felt as if a high-voltage current had passed through them, bringing them back to reality.
Doom, as if he hadn't heard Mephisto, still looked greedily at the power.
Mephisto threw his full force into a punch toward the barrier. At the same time, Firehair looked toward Mephisto and released her Phoenix power toward him.
Thor, who was ready to battle at any moment, blasted a huge amount of thunder toward Mephisto.
