Chapter 64 - Prime Avenger

Sigurd was standing on the Bifrost, looking toward the army going to war. He could feel the nervousness in Hela's eyes, so he walked toward her.

"Why are you nervous about the war? You must know one thing, Hela: whatever comes your way, if you feel the slightest threat from a person, you should use my sword. It will protect you, so you don't need to worry."

Hela heard her uncle's words and then nodded.

"Uncle, what if the situation goes south?"

Sigurd smiled at her. "You don't have to worry. Nothing will go wrong. As long as I am here, no one can change anything."

Sigurd patted her head, then looked toward the army.

"Now go lead your army. Leaders should never show nervousness in front of their soldiers. This battle will rewrite your history."

Diana, who was with Hippolyta, looked toward Hela and Sigurd.

"Mother, when will father teach me to fight? Then I will also join sister Hela in battle."

Hearing Diana's words, even Hela patted her head and said,

"When our Diana becomes an adult, she will be strong enough to help me."

Diana heard Hela's words and nodded.

"I will definitely grow up very quickly."

Sigurd looked at his daughter, then thought of the Diana he had met, and knew his daughter would be a brave warrior.

Then he looked toward the void in the distance.

"You should have just fought fairly, but you involved my family. This battle will make you understand the cost of involving my family."

Sigurd stretched out his hand, and within a few seconds, his spear appeared in his hand. He then enlarged the spear to a huge size, almost bigger than the Asgard palace, and began to cast a spell around it.

Odin looked toward his brother and knew the time had come. He then looked toward his army.

"Asgardians, we conquered the Nine Realms to bring peace. We lost family to establish lasting peace, but time and again, people start to come out of their caves to challenge our authority. This time, they have conspired with outsiders to destroy our peace."

Then he looked toward a new generation of warriors.

"Some of you might not have been born then, but every family in Asgard has paid a price in blood for our present peace. This time, you must make sure that whoever our opponent is pays a heavy price. Hela will personally lead this battle."

Just as Odin finished his words, Sigurd's voice echoed everywhere.

"No need to hold back. Slaughter everyone who opposes you. This time, it isn't just about the Nine Realms. They have brought disaster to the whole universe."

The army began to march out of Asgard.

Odin looked toward the situation. "Now I should go to Midgard. You have already prepared everything, Sigurd, but the situation might change in battle, so you should be alert."

Sigurd nodded, then he saw Odin also disappear from Asgard.

Hippolyta and Frigga looked toward Sigurd, then Hippolyta asked, "Why did you put down your spear in front of the palace?"

Sigurd looked toward the spear. "This spear will defend against any attack on Asgard, but if they succeed in breaking the defense…"

Then he looked toward Hippolyta. "…then you just need to touch the spear. I have cast a spell that will grant you enough strength to defend Asgard."

Sigurd then walked toward Heimdall.

"Heimdall, you should be more alert and keep an eye out for intruders. As for keeping an eye on Jotunheim, try to search for Laufey. If you discover his location, you can inform me."

Just as Sigurd was waiting for trouble to arise, at the same time in Jotunheim…

A Frost Giant was running toward the cave where Laufey was staying.

"My king, the Asgardians have deployed their entire army to attack Jotunheim."

Laufey heard the words and couldn't help but laugh loudly.

"Ha ha ha! Odin, you finally fell into the trap. You thought Midgard would be the battlefield, but you didn't know I was here. This time, I will freeze your daughter along with your army."

The Frost Giants looked toward Laufey. "My lord, but this time only Odin has appeared in Midgard. What about his brother? If he comes to rescue them…"

Laufey shook his head. "This time, they won't get a chance to save anyone."

Then he looked toward the Frost Giants. "Go prepare our army. This time, try to keep the battle going for a long time. Don't let them leave this place. When the time comes, I will personally use the weapon to kill them all."

When the Frost Giant left, Laufey took out a communicator and sent a message.

"The battle in Jotunheim will begin."

At the same time, a voice from the opposite side came.

"Try to drag the war out longer. Don't use the Casket early, or our plan will be ruined."

Mephisto, who had just received the message, was looking toward the opposite side where another Mephisto was sitting.

"The plan has begun, but we might have to let this battle drag on a little longer. If the battle doesn't begin, then others might notice our plan."

The other version of Mephisto looked toward his counterpart. "Then why did you keep me here? Wouldn't it be better for me to stay with the group?"

The Mephisto of Earth-616 looked toward his counterpart and shook his head.

"There is a very dangerous guy in Asgard. Although he isn't as powerful as his future self, he is still very difficult to handle. So you will be going to engage him. From what I know, his strength isn't very high in this time period, so try to eliminate him if you can."

While everyone was advancing their conspiracy, Sigurd was waiting for the enemy.

In the extradimensional realm of the God Quarry, a man was sitting on a throne, looking toward the person in front of him.

"What news have you brought me?"

The person spoke. "Sir, the Masters of Evil have destroyed more than 600 universes."

Hearing the words, another person walked toward them.

"Loki, it seems we have to be prepared."
