Chapter 59 - Asgard

Lucifer was waiting for Sigurd as he went.

Just when he thought it might take a long time, Sigurd appeared in the room with Batman and Superman.

Lucifer looked toward him.

"How was it?"

Sigurd nodded, then looked toward both of them.

"You guys can sit."

Bruce Wayne looked toward him.

"What's your name? At least I should know your name."

Sigurd looked toward them.

"I am Sigurd Borson, and he is Lucifer Morningstar."

Bruce looked toward Sigurd, then toward Lucifer.

"You mean to say Lucifer, the devil."

Sigurd looked toward Lucifer, then spoke.

"Yes, he is the devil."

Both Bruce and Clark looked surprised, as well as a little alert.

After all, the devil is known as a bad guy, but then they thought about how Sigurd treated him.

"So, all the stories about the devil are false."

Hearing Clark's words, Sigurd couldn't help but laugh out loud.

He then looked toward Lucifer.

"The stories aren't quite wrong, either, but that's for different reasons."

Looking at their confused expressions, he added,

"Don't judge the world without knowing it. Everything happens for different reasons, and a lot of things are not in our hands."

Lucifer spoke, then looked toward Sigurd.

"What's your plan now? Will you stay in our world or return back?"

Sigurd looked toward the room where Hippolyta was talking.

"Let her decide. After all, if she likes it here, I will stay."

Just when Sigurd was enjoying himself…

In the Marvel world, Odin looked toward the hall and spoke.

"Is there any information about Laufey? Where is he? It has been so many years, but you guys couldn't find him. Aegir, you have the support of the Asgardian army and spies, but you still couldn't find a single person."

Aegir looked toward Odin with a little hesitation.

"My lord, that guy has left Jotunheim. Even while interrogating frost giants in Jotunheim, we couldn't get any information."

Odin looked toward another general and spoke.

"What about Malekith? Did you see him? He has also been hiding since the battle. Dellinger, you have been in charge of the Dark elves. Do you have any news about Malekith or the weapon Aether?"

Dellinger looked toward Odin, then shook his head.

"My lord, I have sent people to look for Aether but couldn't trace it. It is as if this weapon has disappeared from the world."

Odin looked toward everyone, then focused his eyes on his daughter.

"How is it, Hela? Did you solve the rebellion that surged on Muspelheim? Their lord died, but they still dared to rebel against us."

Hela got up from her chair, then looked toward her father.

"Father, everyone who rebelled was killed, but a few escaped during the battle. Our army will turn Muspelheim upside down until they are found and killed."

Odin nodded in response.

"During this time, due to the theft in the Asgard vault, a lot of people have started to think Asgard has slacked off from being too powerful. So from now on, anyone who rebels against us should be killed."

Then he looked toward Hela.

"Hela, you will lead the Einherjar army to solve the problem. If the situation is serious, then the Valkyrie will come to support you. But always watch out for Malekith and Laufey. These two are dangerous with powerful weapons."

Hela nodded. Then Odin started to talk about different matters. Suddenly, he felt the presence of Sigurd, so he looked toward the hall.

"Today's meeting will end here. You may leave."

At the same time, Sigurd appeared on the Bifrost. He looked toward Heimdall, who was standing.

"How are you, Heimdall? Did anything happen during my absence?"

Heimdall looked toward Sigurd, then toward Hippolyta.

"Hello, Justice Lord, and Madam. I am fine, Sir. Everything is good in Asgard; only a few trivial matters have happened, which I think you won't be interested in."

Sigurd nodded in response, then walked toward the Rainbow Bridge. Looking toward Asgard, he stretched his hand to bring Hippolyta closer.

"I always thought the Rainbow Bridge was the best thing in Asgard. Walking on it today makes me feel more relaxed, as if all the stress is relieved."

Hippolyta looked toward Sigurd, then toward the Rainbow Bridge.

"That's the reason you never used your power to teleport from here, but walked. Looking at Asgard, it might be because this bridge increases your anticipation of home."

Sigurd nodded. "Home is always the best place, after all."

Just as Sigurd and Hippolyta were walking, he saw his mother and Frigga with Hela walking toward them.

Bestla looked toward Sigurd. "You have spread your wings too far. Don't you, Sigurd? Hippolyta is pregnant, and you brought her only now. I already told you, you should have brought her as soon as you knew."

Sigurd looked toward his mother. "Mother, you still treat me as a child. You know if I didn't have important work, I would have brought her earlier."

Bestla still didn't give him a favorable look. "It doesn't matter how important the work is; Hippolyta will stay here from now on. You can take care of her kingdom."

Sigurd looked toward his mother, and even toward Frigga, but looking at their expressions, he felt as if his ranking in the family had dropped even lower.

"Okay, whatever you want, you can do. I won't go anywhere."

Odin was also coming toward his brother—as he was going to be an uncle—but Odin looked toward his brother being reprimanded by their mother. He wanted to turn back so as not to be scolded. Although he is king now, he knows his mother well.

Just when he wanted to walk back, he heard a voice.

"Brother."

Sigurd looked at his brother avoiding their mother and shouted.

Bestla heard the word, then turned toward Odin.

"Odin, you have made your brother just like yourself—always finding trouble. Can't you guys stay in Asgard and enjoy life? It's all your father's fault; he never taught you anything except fighting. I will scold that old man."

Hela looked toward her grandmother, then toward her father and uncle. She couldn't help but feel amused by the scene. Just when she was enjoying it, she suddenly felt someone looking at her.

When she turned her head, she saw Frigga looking toward her.

"Damn it, why the hell is she looking at me? It's uncle and father's fault—why the hell is she looking at me as if I am also the culprit?"
