Chapter 86: Garp Wants to See His Future Grandson

East Blue.

On the coastline.

Out on the sea, a fishing rod was bent into an exaggerated arc.

"Get up here!"

Blake gripped the rod, the rock under his feet cracking. His center of gravity was nearly dragged into the sea. At the other end of the line, a fifty-meter-long Sea King was struggling, sending massive waves crashing against the reef.

"ROAR—!"

The Sea King let out a piercing roar, its massive eyes filled with a vicious light.

Blake gritted his teeth, the muscles in his arms bulging.

"Almost..."

He could feel the Sea King's strength fading. Just a little longer...

Snap!

The line broke.

Blake fell back, nearly toppling over. He steadied himself, looked down at the empty rod in his hand, and his face instantly darkened.

"It got away?"

In the distance, the Sea King was fleeing toward the deep sea.

Blake tossed the rod aside, his face expressionless.

"Dvalin."

His voice was calm. Unsettlingly calm.

"ROAR—!"

A sky-shaking dragon's cry suddenly rang out! A massive, cyan shadow dove from the clouds, its wind stirring the sea! It was a giant dragon, a hundred meters long! Its scales shone, its wings blotted out the sun, and its eyes burned with a cold killing intent.

"Go."

Blake raised a hand, pointing at the fleeing Sea King.

"Get it."

Dvalin didn't hesitate.

It folded its wings, becoming a cyan streak that tore across the sea, chasing the desperate Sea King. "ROAR—!" The Sea King sensed the terror behind it and thrashed its tail, creating a whirlpool. But it was useless. Dvalin was too fast. In less than three seconds, it had caught up.

"ROAR—!"

Talons ripped through the water. The Sea King didn't even have time to scream before Dvalin's jaws clamped down, dragging it into the depths. Blood stained the sea. Blake stood on the reef, watching quietly.

"A fish that gets off the hook... doesn't get to run."

He muttered, turning to go back to the village. Just then:

[Ding!]

[Dungeon mission complete!]

[Participant: Monkey D. Garp]

[Dungeon Name: Summit War]

[Mission Rating: SSS-Rank]

[Dungeon rewards have been distributed!]

Blake stood on the reef, a slight smile on his face as he read the text. SSS-Rank. The highest rating the system could give.

"As expected of Garp."

Blake muttered, tapping a finger in the air.

The system panel expanded, lines of golden text appearing.

[Calculating Host rewards...]

[Host Reward: Strongest Three Types of Haki (SSS-Rank)]

[Description: Observation Haki (Future Sight), Armament Haki (Ryuo / Internal Destruction), and Conqueror's Haki (Conqueror's Coating) have been fused to a perfect state. Can be used at will.]

[Host Reward: Perfect Dark-Dark Fruit (SSS-Rank)]

[Description: All side effects (e.g., double damage, weakness to seawater and Seastone) have been removed. Host can absorb all things into darkness and nullify the abilities of other Devil Fruit users.]

Blake stood on the reef, looking at the two SSS-Rank rewards. Even with his calm nature, he couldn't help but take a deep breath. The next second. Two different, yet perfectly fused, terrifying powers erupted from his body!

Boom—!

A ripple of black-red lightning and abyssal darkness... spread out from him! The sea was pressed down, sending up massive waves! The clouds were torn apart, revealing the blue sky! All of Foosha Village trembled!

On the reef. Blake slowly opened his eyes. A deep, black-red light flashed in their depths. Observation Haki. He could "see" that in five seconds, Dvalin would surface, the Sea King's corpse in his jaws. Armament Haki. He raised his hand. A layer of black Armament covered it, then flowed, seeping under his skin. Ryuo. Internal Destruction. Conqueror's Haki. He clenched his fist. Black-red lightning leaped across his knuckles. Conqueror's Coating.

Then, in his palm, a bottomless darkness began to swirl, like a miniature black hole, its gravity bending and swallowing the light. The Dark-Dark Fruit.

"Not bad."

Blake unclenched his fist. The darkness and lightning receded. He smiled, satisfied. These two SSS-Rank powers... had fused with his body, like instincts. He didn't even need to consciously use them. With just a thought, Haki and darkness would operate.

As expected. Five seconds later.

Boom—!

The sea exploded. Dvalin's massive body burst out, the Sea King, now torn in two, in his jaws. "ROAR—!" He let out a low growl, tossing the corpse onto the shore.

Blake glanced at the corpse and nodded. "Good job."

Dvalin wagged his tail, his body sinking back into the sea, leaving only his draconic eyes above the water, watching Blake.

...

Just then. A blinding white light exploded behind him!

Blake stopped and turned. On the other end of the reef, a tall figure was emerging from the light. It was Garp. He was covered in wounds, his clothes in tatters, his hair a mess. He looked wretched. But his eyes... were terrifyingly bright.

"BWAHAHAHA!"

The moment Garp appeared, he let out a sky-shaking laugh. "I'm back!"

Blake stood nearby, watching the old man, a small smile playing on his lips. "Looks like you had a good haul."

Garp turned, his grin even more exaggerated. "More than 'not bad'!"

He raised his right fist, and punched at the sea!

No warning. The sea... caved in... as if pressed by an invisible hand.

KRACHA—!

A crisp, cracking sound.

The atmosphere... cracked.

A web of cracks spread from his fist, tearing the sky.

Boom—!

A destructive shockwave exploded from his fist! The sea instantly detonated, sending up a massive tsunami!

The wave crashed toward the reef, but stopped three meters from Blake. He had raised his hand, an invisible barrier blocking the water.

"Old coot."

He looked at Garp, his tone calm. "Are you trying to get a lifetime ban for attacking the boss?"

Garp froze. Then he laughed, scratching his head.

"BWAHAHAHA! Sorry, sorry!"

He lowered his fist, his face full of excitement. "I just got a new ability, got a little excited!"

Blake glanced at the tsunami and the slowly repairing cracks in the air. "Tremor-Tremor Fruit?"

"That's right!"

Garp clenched his fist. A transparent, vibrating aura shimmered. "That old bastard's power... is mine now!"

He couldn't help but laugh again. "And it's the perfect version! Not afraid of seawater, not afraid of Seastone!"

As Garp spoke, he suddenly scratched his head.

"But this dungeon of yours isn't very user-friendly. I wanted to see my future grandson, but I got teleported back."
