Chapter 227 - Chapter 224

The day of the Wizengamot trial arrived. Narcissa Black, Nagini, and Bela White came to Roy, informing him that a trial would be held the next morning. Roy knew exactly what it was about but remained indifferent. He agreed to attend with them, having already secured three seats in the Wizengamot, which he assigned as proxies to Narcissa, Nagini, and Bela.

The next morning, the group arrived at the Wizengamot. Other members greeted Roy formally, while he noticed Harry sitting in the questioning box. Roy waved and said hello, before turning to the assembly and asking, "Which idiot scheduled a trial at six in the morning?" Many members nodded in agreement, murmuring among themselves.

A voice then rang out: "Dolores Umbridge."

Roy's eyes found her instantly. He turned to the Wizengamot and asked two pointed questions:

"Who allowed a toad to be here?" Dolores flushed with anger."And if one wants to become a member of the Wizengamot, must it be inherited or earned through service to the wizarding world?" All members answered yes. Roy's follow-up: "And what has this toad done for the wizarding world?" The Wizengamot members, including Fudge, were silent, knowing the answer—she had come solely through Fudge's backing.

Umbridge paled as Roy subtly applied a tiny bit of his Conquer Haki, causing her to sweat and recoil, but he paid no attention and returned to his seat. Narcissa, Bela, and Nagini occupied the remaining seats, and the trial began.

Evidence against Harry was presented, and though Dumbledore attempted to defend him, his reasoning fell short. Harry, disheartened by the seeming inevitability of defeat, was about to lose hope when Roy spoke.

"If a dark wizard comes to attack a wizard, should that wizard defend themselves with magic, or inform the Wizengamot that they plan to use it?" Silence fell over the room. Roy continued, "This case is like telling a child not to do bad things. How do you expect anyone to act if you forbid self-defense?" Laughter erupted from the Wizengamot members, even Dumbledore chuckled, while Dolores Umbridge fumed.

The vote was cast. Every member sided with Harry, except Umbridge. The case was closed—Harry had won.

After the trial, Roy was about to leave when someone informed him that Fudge wanted to meet him. Roy agreed, instructing Narcissa, Nagini, and Bela to wait. He went to meet Fudge, already anticipating the bureaucrat's motives.

After cordial greetings, Fudge pleaded, "Please, don't involve yourself in the fight with Dumbledore. I'll pay anything."

Roy smirked, agreeing immediately. He added, "I won't interfere in the upcoming election, nor with any conflict between you and Dumbledore." Fudge, wary yet relieved, understood the growing political power Roy wielded.

Roy presented a list of posts he wanted in the Ministry of Magic. Fudge agreed to all, and with formalities concluded, Roy left.

Not long after, Roy received a letter requesting his presence at Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place. Taking Narcissa Black with him, he arrived at the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.

Inside, he was greeted by familiar faces: Sirius Black, Lupin, Arthur and Molly Weasley, Fred and George, Ginny Weasley, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Moody, Nymphadora Tonks, and Harry. Roy first approached Molly and Arthur, offering condolences for Ron Weasley's death. Both were visibly moved.

He then shook hands with Kingsley, Moody, Nymphadora, and Sirius, who all thanked him for saving Harry. Roy waved off their gratitude casually.

Meanwhile, Narcissa had returned from speaking with the previous lords of the Black family, scolding Sirius about finding a wife. Sirius cast a glance at Roy, silently pleading for help. Roy shook his head with a small, understanding smile. The two men exchanged a firm handshake, silently acknowledging their mutual respect.

Kreacher, the house-elf, greeted Roy with unusual politeness, leaving Harry surprised.

After pleasantries, Roy presented Fred and George with a document, explaining:

"I've invested in prank products, and profits have tripled. You now have 50% ownership of the store before graduating. In two years, if profits double, you'll receive full control and continued profits."

Molly Weasley, seeing her sons' excitement, was delighted.

Everyone sat down for lunch, discussing various matters. Harry recounted the Wizengamot trial, receiving approving nods from Moody, Kingsley, and Tonks for Roy's handling of Umbridge.

Afterward, Roy, Sirius, and Harry met the previous lords of the Black family. Everyone greeted Roy warmly except Phineus Black. Roy teased him:

"Did you miss me, Phineus?"

Phineus scolded him sharply, but Roy persisted with his questions:

"Where did Voldemort learn about black magic? And how did he know about the ancient wizard families in hiding?"

Phineus admitted he had pondered these questions for a long time. Sirius, confused, asked for clarification. Phineus answered only the first—"the Chamber of Secrets"—and confessed ignorance regarding the second. Roy nodded, satisfied.

With his inquiries concluded, Roy bid farewell to everyone, took Narcissa Black with him, and departed, already considering his next steps in the wizarding world.
