A Note, But No Man
Maybe I have been completely wrong about this man. Perhaps living through years of hell out of my life has warped my perception, making me believe that every man walking this planet is a predator.
I was barely more than a child when they took me. Back then, the only males in my life were the village boys who chased butterflies and the kind grandfathers who told stories by the fire. I knew nothing of the world beyond our small community before I was dragged into that nightmare realm where men never showed mercy, where lies dripped from their tongues like poison, and where inflicting pain seemed to be their greatest pleasure.
That experience shaped my view of Mr. Dolf. I assumed he would be cut from the same rotten cloth as those monsters, but God help me, I think I was completely mistaken.
