When their eyes fell back on Claire along the path behind them, they saw that although she had regained consciousness, her senses had not fully returned. Because of this, Claire's pace was the slowest among them all.
"Lily, I don't think Claire will be able to run very far in this condition. We'll have to take her with us," Stephanie said, stopping as she spoke to Lily.
Lily and Stephanie supported Claire with their shoulders and began to move swiftly along the dark path. Claire's feet dragged against the ground, her breathing was heavy, and the same haze still lingered in her eyes—as if she had awakened from a deep sleep, yet remained trapped in the world of dreams.
