Chapter 53 - Is it hard to meet the people that don't know

Days passed, one by one, until Monday arrived the day all students had to take their exams, which finally concluded on Thursday. It felt like a very long time, and the students were quite tense, but the final day finally came, and everyone was very happy. Hana brought the small doll pendants she had bought a long time ago but had not yet given to Siv Siv and kan; she considered them gifts for finishing the exams and for their recent exam results from a few days prior.

"Is this a gift for my drop in rank?" kan asked jokingly; regardless, she loved it very much, looked at it, and said thank you. Siv Siv did the same. Siv Siv teased that Hana's gift was a doll pendant that could be used for a long time and was very cute; they each had one, but what about the other one? Siv Siv was surprised. Hana said it was for Mala. Siv Siv continued that on Monday, kan had given them chocolate; that day, she wanted to keep acting angry, but she couldn't help it because kan's chocolate was so delicious. She even asked kan to teach her how to make it. Seeing kan's proud face made Hana try to suppress her laughter. Regardless, Hana asked to go meet Mala for a moment to give the pendant to her. Siv Siv and kan went to sit and wait for Hana on a bench under a tree.

They saw Ree walking past, and their instincts immediately focused on her. In kan's mind, she wondered if Ree and Hana had truly broken up. Was Ree really that kind of person? His grandmother was such a good person… she thought to herself. Suddenly, she saw Sara walking toward them. Both of them and Sara walked face-to-face, and they couldn't avoid each other until they managed to bypass one another. Sara knew about Ree's suffering, but she didn't show any angry behavior because she was that kind of person; she tried to smile and continued her way. Where was she going? Both kan and Siv Siv kept their eyes on them.

"Mala!" Hana's voice made Mala stop and turn around. Since that day, Mala had acted distant and stopped asking Hana to explain lessons; was she ashamed or angry? Regardless, Hana decided to speak first and handed the doll pendant to Mala. Seeing this, Mala felt relieved; in truth, she had thought Hana probably hated her, but now seeing Hana greet her and give her a doll pendant just like her own, Mala smiled a bit. Hana said they shouldn't act like that and should continue studying together. Mala smiled and nodded, then waved goodbye to Hana to leave with Sing Sing and Tata.

Tata asked Mala where she planned to go. "To meet them!" The "them" Mala referred to was the group of pretty girls who had caused trouble for Hana the other day by making the restroom dirty; they continued to incite other students to make a mess, taking turns doing it in small ways, thinking we wouldn't dare to confront them. Mala arrived under a bridge where that group of pretty girls was practicing a dance to post on social media.

"Hey! Ugly girls," Mala called out, even though their group was full of pretty girls! It made them turn toward her with annoyance. Seeing it was Mala, they knew exactly why she had come. Without much talk, Mala stood on the high ground above and asked them below who ordered them to keep acting this way. They laughed and didn't care.

"This photo is really beautiful; how does this cigarette taste?" It was a photo of one of their members smoking, which Mala had secretly taken. "Let's see what happens if I show this to the teacher!" That member was terrified and looked at her friends, begging for help. They had no choice, but truly no one had ordered them they did it themselves! Mala didn't believe it, but they really weren't lying. Since Mala realized they were also in Grade 12, she gave them one more chance; if they continued those actions, she would give the photo to the teacher! They nodded in agreement with annoyance but didn't dare to do those actions anymore.

As for Sara, she was very frustrated. Why did she feel so frustrated immediately after the exams ended? She seemed very angry. One of the girls who had participated in the fight and mistreated Sina in the restroom last time was waiting in front of the school; her name was Kana. She stood there with her backpack, walking back and forth. Even though her group tried to invite her to go home together, she said she wasn't going yet and smiled, telling them to go ahead! She seemed to be waiting for someone. Sara was the same today; before walking away alone, she had also told her friends that today she wanted to walk home alone. She tried to speak normally, but her friends kept asking, which made her very annoyed, though she didn't show her anger. She said coldly, "I just want to go home alone; all of you go home together!" Those friends didn't ask further. Sina saw this too; she was holding a water bottle in her hand. It wasn't her habit; even vud was curious why wasn't she drinking water? Look, her mouth was dry! Sina turned away from staring at Sara and turned back to tell Vud that she wasn't hungry and also wanted to break the habit of always drinking water during exams. She spoke with a normal face and then left. Vud smiled a bit because Sina had replied to him. Sina walked toward Likan with the water bottle in her hand, which she then put in her bag. She seemed to hesitate about whether to tell Kaan something or not, but she still headed toward Li kan in the classroom but didn't see her. She noticed someone was following her.

"Why are you following me?" Sina asked with a flat face, making vud freeze. He quickly denied it, telling her not to think there was only one path; he was looking for Senior Likan. "Hmm, I don't see her; where did she go?" He pretended to look further into the classroom, then turned back to see Sina staring at him without blinking. She then turned her gaze to look around and saw a bag showing; it was hidden by a tree because kan was sitting on the other side, so they couldn't see her. Without waiting, Sina went downstairs toward Likan, and vud continued to follow. Upon arrival, they saw Jin, phea, and vi sitting with their heads down on the table because earlier they wanted to confirm which answer was correct; remembering the main problem from the exam, they had written it on paper for kan to look at and solve. But the result made all three of them helpless; they thought one of the three would be right, but in fact, all three were wrong. So they leaned their heads on the table, making Siv Siv and kan laugh. At that moment, vud and Sina arrived.

"Senior kan," Sina hesitated a bit. She hadn't wanted to come in because there were too many people and wanted to go back and wait to chat message, but vud suddenly grabbed her bag, intending to make her reconcile with the others. It was just his thought, but his action followed grabbing Sina's bag making Sina turn to look at him in wonder.

"Oh…" vud hummed, "since we're here, didn't you say you wanted to meet Senior Likan? Why do you want to go back?" "That's my business," she walked back, but vud, caught off guard by her previous answer, stood in her way with his hands on his own bag as if wanting to do something. Even Sina could guess what he wanted to do, but before she could stop him, vud called out to Senior Likan just like he had before. This made everyone hear the sound and turn toward them. Sina closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them to look at the man's face with annoyance, but she turned to look at Senior Likan and, having no choice, walked toward her. The man felt relieved; actually, he was taking a risk, but he didn't want Sina to have the habit of avoiding people she didn't know. People with problems have many types: those who avoid people they know due to fear, hiding something, or laziness; and those who avoid people they don't know due to disliking crowds, fear, or laziness. What type was Sina? All he knew was that she was avoiding people she didn't know, but vud had called Senior Likan in time, leaving her with no choice. Kan and everyone turned to look; kan smiled and greeted Sina, saying it had been a long time. Siv Siv had just met her in person or perhaps she had heard the name or met her before but not directly like this. Siv Siv also smiled. Kan introduced Siv Siv and the three juniors again. Those three juniors turned and saw Sina and already knew her, but it was a habit that kan would always introduce someone first. The three juniors said they already knew Senior Sina. Kan knew that too but wanted to introduce her again. Sina thought to herself that there was no need for introductions; she didn't say anything because there were too many people. Even if it were just the two of them, she would still hesitate and consider whether she should discuss things with kan. She used the excuse that coming to meet kan now was just to say congratulations to Senior Likan, and then she left immediately, leaving everyone frozen. As for vud, when the three juniors turned around, he felt a chill from one of them jin. She was his cousin, but no one knew; their relationship at home was like cousins to everyone. Previously, she had talked about Sina's bad history, so her thoughts were biased against Sina; she wondered how her cousin could possibly be secretly in love with Sina. When she turned to see the man following behind Sina again, she was even more helpless. She had tried to explain Sina's bad points to vud so he wouldn't get too close and to be careful; she saw that no male students seemed to like Senior Sina, not even the female students. But because vud's eyes were full of pink color (love), he didn't care; he just grabbed Jin's neck and threatened her not to say bad things again. But Jin wouldn't lose; she used his bad points to threaten him back, saying she would tell their aunt and uncle that he wasn't studying hard but only thinking about loving someone. This made vud give up, and he always bought things for Jin to eat so she wouldn't tell their aunt and uncle. Now, seeing this scene of the man, she was annoyed. Earlier, she had also taken a few photos; her face showed a mischievous child-like smile, making vud feel a chill. Regardless, the two did not reveal their relationship to anyone. Vud also said he came to wish Senior kan well and then left. This made everyone freeze again. Siv Siv laughed, and kan introduced that vud was someone she knew you could say she knew him somewhat from being in the same class as Sina. The three juniors also said goodbye and left, crossing paths with Hana, who was walking toward them with a smile because Mala had reconciled with her.
