Chapter 63 - Reincarnation

Mobius's body had no strength left. Soon, she lost consciousness completely.

At the same time, within the Elysian Realm, the memory constructs of Elysia, Eden, Sakura, Aponia, Vill-V, Griseo, Hua, and Pardofelis were all attacked and captured by the Will of Ruler's derivative entities.

The memory constructs of Kevin, Kalpas, Su, and Kosma were instead subdued and brought under control.

The entire Elysian Realm had already been parasitized by the derivative entities, which suppressed Honkai energy. None of the memory constructs inside were capable of resisting.

"Mom, we don't need the men, right?"

Bronya, familiar with her mother's tendencies, still asked to be sure.

"No need."

"Alright, then I'll start transferring their memory data now."

Hearing Kiana Kaslana's answer, Bronya wasn't surprised in the slightest. She continued to operate, letting the derivative entities in the Elysian Realm completely consume the memory constructs of Elysia, Eden, Mobius, Sakura, Aponia, Vill-V, Griseo, Hua, and Pardofelis.

Memory constructs, like Valkyrie training systems, were created using Honkai energy and data—similar in principle to simulated Honkai Beasts.

Simply severing the supply of Honkai energy rendered them powerless to resist.

At the same time, it prevented them from activating self-destruction protocols.

"It's done."

"Mm, good work. I'll handle it from here."

Having obtained the complete data of nine female heroes' memory constructs, Kiana Kaslana created blank souls and infused each one with the respective data.

Memory constructs were not souls in themselves—they were artificial intelligences, containing the original's memories, habits, and thought patterns.

When extracted, they were merely bundles of memory data.

"Where is this? Why am I here?"

Mobius awoke from darkness, her consciousness gradually returning. A torrent of information flooded her mind, plunging her into confusion.

"Little snake, you're finally awake! I thought your memory data might not run properly inside a soul body."

Kiana Kaslana folded her arms, gazing at the translucent figure before her—a petite girl with a waterfall of green hair and serpentine vertical pupils.

"Where am I?"

Mobius recalled many things, including the fact that she was a memory construct.

"This is the moon of another universe."

"Another universe?"

"Yes, another world entirely. You still remember the Elysian Realm and your past, right?"

"..."

Mobius worked to process the flood of memories in her head.

Stuffing the entirety of one's memories into a blank soul was bound to cause some issues at first.

"It's fine. Don't think too hard about it. The memories will stabilize over time."

"Now, you have two choices: one, to enter reincarnation and start anew; or two, I'll make you a mature body right away."

"What's the difference between the two?"

After sorting through most of her memories, Mobius understood her situation—she'd been forcibly extracted from the Elysian Realm.

She studied the white-haired girl before her.

White hair, blue eyes.

A descendant of Kevin?

"The difference is simple: one makes you my daughter, the other makes you my wife."

"???"

"..."

Bronya covered her face. She really wanted to say, Mom, can you not be like this?

"Who are you?"

Mobius was silent for a moment, then asked suddenly.

"Is that really important?"

"If I don't know your name, how should I address you?"

"'Mom' or 'Darling'—take your pick. Even if you carry Mobius's memories, I'm still your creator."

Kiana Kaslana smiled.

"..."

Mobius raised her translucent hand, staring at her semi-transparent fingers.

"You're currently in a soul state."

"So the soul really exists?"

Mobius's expression turned intrigued.

"In different universes and worlds, the concept of a soul varies. But in this world, yes—you are now a soul. Once you have a body, you'll live again."

"You took us from the Elysian Realm—was it for an experiment, or something else?"

Mobius looked toward Kiana Kaslana and asked.

"You don't need to know that much right now. So, will you enter reincarnation, or should I make you a body? Decide quickly."

"What about that woman, Elysia? Which did she choose?"

"She chose reincarnation."

Hearing that, Mobius pondered for a moment before asking, "Does reincarnation mean returning to infancy and starting over?"

"Rebirth through transmigration—can you understand that? It's the same concept. In this world, the underworld is under my control."

"Will I lose my memories?"

"If you were to lose your memories, why would I bother to 'borrow'—ahem—retrieve your memory data?"

"Then I choose reincarnation. Can you set it so that my memories return as I grow older?"

"I can, but why do you want that?"

Kiana Kaslana tilted her head curiously.

"Mobius's path isn't mine. I want to make my own choices through my own will."

"No problem. I'll seal your memories."

Kiana Kaslana extended her hand. Mobius's soul turned into a sphere of light and flew into her body.

A few days later, Kiana Kaslana entrusted Mobius's soul to Rvy.

Since Honkai beings didn't age or die naturally, childbirth among those of Saint-class and above was strictly prohibited—and under normal circumstances, impossible anyway.

After all, if they could reproduce freely, wouldn't the population explode uncontrollably?

Honkai beings gave birth to more Honkai beings, none of whom could die of old age.

A population explosion would bring endless trouble.

...

In the Honkai world—

The disappearance of Elysia, Eden, Mobius, Sakura, Aponia, Vill-V, Griseo, Hua, and Pardofelis from the Elysian Realm did not go unnoticed.

Kevin knew exactly who was responsible, but he couldn't comprehend their purpose.

Why would they steal the memory data from the Elysian Realm?

So far, he still couldn't understand the motives of that other world's Will of Honkai.

They had stolen the experimental subject K-423 and the Herrscher Core containing Sirin's will from Schicksal.

They had spread Honkai across the world.

Broadcast messages everywhere.

Secretly taken a girl named Bronya from Siberia.

Infiltrated the databases of Schicksal, Anti-Entropy, and World Serpent, stealing countless files.

With such power, they could easily destroy human civilization if they wished.

After gaining the power of the Cocoon of Finality, Kevin could perceive even more clearly just how overwhelmingly strong the Will of Ruler truly was.

Human civilization couldn't even reach beyond the solar system, while the Will of Ruler could cross universes—the gap was unimaginable.

Even if its power was limited by narrow dimensional channels...

It still possessed the might to annihilate the entire solar system with a single strike.
