After stepping out of the boutique, Adrian turned to her with a smile. "Now it's your turn. Let's get something for you."
"That's not necessary," Summer replied quickly. "I already have plenty of clothes."
"You are my fiancée," he said firmly. "I want to give you something." Without waiting for her agreement, he moved ahead.
Left with little choice, she followed, only to see him walk straight into a jewelry store.
'Why here? What is he planning?'
Unease stirred within her as she stepped inside behind him.
A saleswoman approached with a polite smile. Before she could speak, Adrian said, "Please show us some diamond rings for my fiancée."
Rings?
Summer felt a sharp ringing in her ears. 'He wants to buy me a ring?'
"Of course, sir. Madam, this way please. I'll show you our finest designs."
"Adrian, there is really no need," Summer tried to stop him again.
He gently clasped her hand. "You are the woman I intend to marry. This is the least I can do. I can give you much more."
