Gideon let out a cold snort. "You've always favored Adrian since we were kids. He excelled in academics, and you wore that pride openly. But when I won trophies in sports and martial arts, you barely spared a glance. All you ever did was compare me to him, again and again, just to prove he was superior."
Georgea's face tightened. She didn't understand why he was dredging up the past now.
"And when I fell for Summer, you were the first to oppose it," he went on, his voice growing heavier with resentment. "You demanded I break things off with her, yet you had no issue approving Adrian's relationship with Danica. Now, for his sake, you are more than willing to accept Summer as his girlfriend. You didn't even pause to reconsider. Tell me—why are you so unfair with me? Have you ever loved me, even a little?"
Silence hung heavy for a moment.
