Gideon sprang to his feet so abruptly that Summer flinched.
She looked up at him in surprise. She wondered what he had heard from the other side of the phone.
"Is that true?" Gideon burst out, joy and disbelief crashing over him at once.
Seeing the sudden, radiant grin on his face, Summer grew even more confused. She had no idea what he had just heard that could make him react like this.
"Yes, he is awake," Georgea confirmed on the other end. "But—"
"But what?" Gideon cut in sharply. The smile froze at the corners of his lips. "Tell me."
Georgea sighed heavily. "Come here first. I can't explain everything over the phone."
The excitement drained from him instantly. His mother's grave tone made it clear that something wasn't right with Adrain.
After six long years, Adrian had finally regained consciousness. Yet his mother didn't sound happy. Things seemed complicated. Gideon needed to see it for himself.
"I'm coming."
