Chapter 114: There's More Than One Way to Persuade Someone

A Luxury Hotel

Wesley woke up on a clean, soft king-sized bed. He shifted his body, wanting to go back to sleep.

But as soon as he closed his eyes, Wesley suddenly opened them wide.

He realized this wasn't his crappy little apartment, and his last memory before losing consciousness had nothing to do with this place.

Recalling the terrifying explosion from before, Wesley frantically checked his body, fearing he'd died in that blast.

"Whoo! Nice body!"

Suddenly hearing a whistle from beside him, Wesley jerked his head around to look.

He saw a large-headed baby wrapped in a bath towel lying next to him, looking at him with an excited expression.

"Who are you? Where the hell is this?"

Stewie didn't respond to Wesley's questions. Instead, he shouted toward the door, "You done with your business? This guy's awake!"

At that moment, Chris walked in carrying a pile of clothes. He said, exasperated, "I'm not an animal. What kind of person do you take me for?"

Stewie rummaged through his clothes, smiling meaningfully, "Oh? What are you thinking? Did I say anything?"

"Hmph, you're just assuming I took advantage of Fox while she was unconscious to do something pervy to her, aren't you?" Chris snorted, calling out Stewie's unspoken accusation.

Putting on his custom-made suit, Stewie admired his dapper figure in the mirror, stubbornly denying it, "Whoa, is that what you think of me? How could I think of you as so sleazy?"

Wesley, standing nearby, was completely confused. He looked at the two bizarre people in front of him, having no clue what they were talking about.

However, after his peripheral vision caught sight of the flamboyantly dressed Stewie, he carefully examined his own body.

Only after finding no unusual sensations did he relax and choose clothes that fit him.

Seeing Stewie being so stubborn, Chris said dismissively, "My reputation as Chris the Lady-Killer isn't for nothing. Just you watch—in less than three days, that hot Fox will be completely under my spell."

Hearing Chris's bragging, Stewie raised his eyebrows skeptically, "I never doubt your charm, but I've also never underestimated your perverted thoughts. I refuse to believe you didn't do anything to that beautiful woman."

After speaking, Stewie looked directly at Chris, his unwavering gaze capable of making even someone innocent feel guilty.

So under Stewie's scrutiny, Chris guiltily looked away.

He genuinely hadn't done anything perverted to Fox while she was unconscious, but besides the perverted stuff, he had acted a little... improperly.

With such a gorgeous woman lying there, he wasn't a monk—how could he possibly resist doing nothing?

However, although Chris's eyes avoided his, his stubbornness matched Stewie's. "I was helping her shower because she was covered in dirt and debris. What's the big deal?"

"Ha, really?" Stewie leaned closer to Chris, looking at him disbelievingly.

Just as Chris was about to use physical means to shut Stewie up, Wesley, who had finished dressing, spoke up, "Who the hell are you people? And who is this Fox?"

From the conversation between these two weirdos, Wesley had already pieced together some information.

For example, they held no ill will toward him, nor toward the mysterious woman, Fox.

But at the same time, they weren't allied with that Fox either.

Otherwise, this muscular dude and this little guy wouldn't be arguing about such trivial crap.

Knowing this, Wesley's courage grew considerably. He even pressed on, "Do you know who was chasing me? And why were they after me? Also, what do you want with me?"

Hearing this string of questions, Chris and Stewie exchanged glances, their eyes filled with impatience.

"I'm going to check if the little Fox is awake. You can handle this guy yourself."

Stewie picked up the towel he'd thrown on the ground, nodding as he wrapped it around his hand.

By the time Chris reached the adjoining room, Stewie had begun his "education."

"Too many questions, huh?"

A punch landed squarely on Wesley's eye socket. The intense pain made him fall backward instantly, letting out a cry of agony, "Ow!"

Then Stewie punched Wesley's nose bridge, after which he taunted, "Get up and fight back, you pussy!"

Then, with a big leap, his knee slammed heavily into Wesley's gut.

His stomach taking the heavy blow, Wesley instantly doubled over, curling into a ball.

"Please, just let me go."

Seeing such a pathetic loser, Stewie kicked him in the balls, lecturing him, "Still can't read the room? If you don't want to get beaten to death, then fight back against me, you wimp!"

While Stewie was "educating" Wesley, Chris had already reached the door to the adjoining room, but sensing the situation inside, Chris wasn't in a hurry to enter.

"Looks like my charm isn't enough from a distance. Do I really need to show up in person to work my magic?"

Chris stood at the door, muttering to himself, waiting for Fox to finish setting up her trap.

Sensing that Fox was ready, Chris kicked the door open.

With a loud bang, the thick wooden door flew into the room.

Fox, who was preparing an ambush nearby, instantly froze, and before her brain could process what happened, her body had already reacted on instinct.

She twisted her waist, grabbed a chair, and swung it with all her might.

At that moment, Fox had entered her accelerated state, and her natural strength, boosted by this enhanced perception, had already reached peak human performance.

The instantaneous burst of power exceeded a ton. Such force, channeled into a solid oak chair, would send even a linebacker flying.

However, when the chair slammed into Chris, his forward stride didn't change one bit. Instead, the solid oak chair completely shattered.

It was as if the chair hadn't hit a human body but had crashed against a solid steel wall.

Seeing that her first attack failed, Fox grabbed two chair legs still in the air and thrust them hard toward Chris's chest.

But this still had no effect. In fact, Chris countered by seizing her and locking her firmly in his embrace.

Just as Fox continued to struggle, trying to attack again, Chris began to speak.

"Beautiful lady, I don't think I'm ugly, do I? Do you really need to go for the kill with every move?"

Realizing that Chris harbored no ill will and that she couldn't escape his grip, Fox instantly changed tactics.

Her tone became gentle, and she embraced Chris as if he were her lover, saying, "I'm sorry, I thought you were the ones chasing me earlier. I misunderstood you."

Noticing the change in Fox's demeanor, Chris leaned in and whispered, "I can smell a lie a mile away."

Realizing her ploy had been exposed, Fox struggled again. She raised her knee, aiming to strike Chris in the groin.

Faced with such a critical blow to his family jewels, even though Chris knew he wouldn't be harmed at all, he still blocked Fox's attack in advance.

"That's a bit much." Chris was genuinely annoyed now. He then grabbed both of Fox's hands with one hand and her legs with the other, then pressed her down onto the bed.

"Since words can't convince you, then let me communicate with you in other ways."
