"This is truly what I want deep in my heart right now." Sophie said with firm determination. "I really want to go abroad to study and improve myself."
Jonathan looked at the floor, then asked with concern: "Is it because I said I'd arrange a new job for you—working as my assistant at the company—that's putting too much pressure on you?"
"No, it's not like that," Sophie shook her head. "I'm not afraid of pressure, but I care a lot about my own abilities. If my skills aren't enough and I have to rely on your care to hold a position, that would feel utterly shameful to me."
