Chapter 161 - 'Powerful' Aliens

The crowd gathered in the center of the meeting room, their gazes shifting in unison toward the deity who had suddenly appeared.

A white-haired old man was the first to speak, his voice trembling slightly: "May I ask... are you the True Lord of Erlang Manifestation?"

Ian merely gave a faint smile and did not answer directly. The third eye in the center of his forehead slowly opened, overflowing with golden light. In an instant, the entire meeting room was enveloped in an invisible force field. It wasn't a crude suppression of power, but a tremor originating from the depths of their souls.

A voice spoke in everyone's heart, confirming the fact—the being standing before them was indeed a god.

The people present involuntarily took half a step back and sat back in their chairs, their expressions shifting between shock and reverence.

"Lord God, how is the Heavenly Realm doing right now?" a high-ranking military official blurted out, his mind momentarily blanking. He immediately reacted to the shocked looks from those around him and hurriedly covered his mouth.

Ian ignored him. He closed the Celestial Eye on his forehead, his gaze sweeping over everyone in the room before he spoke.

"Your world has currently been targeted by a species of aliens calling themselves the Precursors."

With a wave of his hand, a phantom image materialized in his palm. The image of a certain creature gradually became clear. It was a giant six-limbed organism with a V-shaped head covered in compound eyes and several exposed organs hanging from its abdomen. Overall, it possessed the characteristics of an insect combined with a deep-sea creature.

A series of sharp gasps filled the meeting room.

"What... what is this thing?"

"An extraterrestrial lifeform?" another murmured to himself.

A military general narrowed his eyes: "Is this the mastermind behind the creation of the Kaiju?"

Ian nodded. "The Wormhole and these monsters were all created by them. Based on the power of these monsters, you should have already realized that their technology far surpasses your world."

He stepped slowly toward the conference table, tapping his fingertip on the surface. A dynamic image of Earth's evolutionary history instantly appeared on the table.

"Hundreds of millions of years ago, the Precursors discovered this planet. But back then, the oxygen content in Earth's atmosphere was too high for them to survive, so they chose not to colonize this place."

The image evolved rapidly, showing the massive changes in Earth's environment following the Industrial Revolution.

"Later, with the arrival of the industrial age, the environment of this planet gradually became polluted, making it increasingly suitable for the Precursors' survival. Thus, they have set their sights on this planet once more."

The meeting room fell into a deathly silence. The scientists' faces were ashen.

One scientist managed a bitter smile: "We always wondered why the monsters only destroyed without occupying... so that is the truth."

Ian continued: "You have taken some countermeasures against these monsters, but I believe you have also noticed that the monsters appearing now are becoming stronger and stronger."

His voice lowered: "I am telling you the truth now. These monsters appearing are merely mass-produced creations from that civilization's assembly line."

"The purpose of these monsters is not to destroy human civilization or rule the world. They come here only to continue polluting the environment, terraforming this planet to be more suitable for the Precursors."

A long silence settled over the room. Everyone was frozen in place as a feeling bordering on despair spread through the air. They had thought that through their desperate resistance, they could deal with these sudden monsters; they hadn't expected them to be just standard biological weapons from an alien civilization's production line.

"Then... do we still have hope?" a young scientist asked tremblingly.

An old scientist patted his shoulder, his eyes turning toward Ian: "I think hope is already standing before us."

Everyone's gaze refocused on Ian, the despair in their eyes gradually replaced by a newborn hope.

A minister cleared his throat: "Lord God, our latest monitoring shows that since the battle in Hong Kong, the energy fluctuations of the Wormhole have remained abnormal. It's possible the aliens on the other side are making a new move."

Ian smiled slightly. "I have been overseeing the entire globe and discovered the Wormhole's anomaly long ago."

"In the past few days, a large number of small-scale monsters have already crossed the Wormhole and arrived in your world." Ian's eyes were as deep as the starry sky. "Before long, these monsters will make landfall on the coastline."

Commotion instantly broke out in the room as everyone showed extreme panic.

"Activate the global alert system immediately!"

"Notify the PPDC to prepare all Jaegers!"

"Put all coastal cities into emergency evacuation status!"

The crowd was almost ready to order an immediate state of emergency for war.

Ian raised his hand to stop everyone's movements. The room fell silent instantly.

"There is no need to worry." A meaningful smile played on his lips. "While I said the monsters would make landfall on the coastline, I didn't say they would land on Huaxia's coastline."

The officials looked at each other, puzzled by his meaning.

Ian gave a gentle wave, and a map appeared showing millions of densely packed red dots. Then, the red dots began to converge, finally pointing toward a single location.

"In the future I have predicted, the monsters will land in Kyoto, Japan."

Hearing this, the tension in the room eased significantly.

"Their goal is to use Mount Fuji to spread the pollutants carried in their bodies across the globe." Ian's tone was calm, as if he were recounting a trivial matter. "So, do you think it is necessary to stop them?"

He tilted his head toward the crowd. "Besides, don't you think that place is a bit too urbanized?"

Seeing the complex expressions on the faces of the crowd, Ian added: "Rest assured, as long as I am here, I won't let the pollution spread elsewhere."

Upon hearing that Huaxia would not be affected, everyone present shared a knowing smile. Then, realizing that the monsters had chosen Japan for their landing and sensing the deity's attitude toward that country, they looked at each other and shared a tacit laugh.

Words were unnecessary; years of mutual understanding allowed them to grasp each other's thoughts.

Monster landfall? What monster landfall?

There are no monsters at all!

An elderly leader nodded slightly: "Since the Lord God has a handle on the situation, we naturally trust your judgment. Japan is so powerful; they should be able to resolve this crisis with their own strength, right?"

Another military general added: "If they request assistance, we will, of course, consider providing material aid as appropriate based on the actual situation."

Official smiles hung on their faces, but complex emotions flickered in the depths of their eyes. There was a deep-seated blood feud between Huaxia and Japan; back then, they had committed grave errors, yet now they refused to acknowledge them.

"So be it." Ian nodded and walked toward the window. "Since everyone understands, I should go deal with other matters."

Just as he was about to vanish, an old man summoned the courage to ask: "Lord God, will we... see you again?"

Ian turned back, revealing a mysterious smile: "As long as you have me in your hearts, I am everywhere."

As soon as he finished speaking, his figure vanished in a flash.

Meanwhile, at the Kyoto coastline in Japan, the seawater grew increasingly dark. Looking closely, one could faintly see countless hideous, child-sized creatures swimming within. Not only that, but there was not a single trace of other life along the surrounding coast, as if all fish and seabirds had instinctively fled the area.

According to the Precursors' plan, the initial landing point for these monsters was not Kyoto. After all, going from Kyoto to Mount Fuji required a detour, which was detrimental to their plan.

However, after arriving on Earth, they seemed to be influenced by an unknown force, causing them to change their established route and set their landing site in Kyoto.

In the coming period, Japan would face an unprecedented crisis.
