(I'm back stronger than ever ^-^ Thank you all for your patience)
Two Hive Tyrants charged towards Titus. Normally, Titus could easily kill these Tyranid elites.
But the situation was different this time. Titus felt exhausted, and the wound on his arm was still bleeding. Fighting numerous Tyranids moments ago had drained too much of his stamina.
"Damn it!" Titus raised his Chainsword, barely blocking a scything attack from one Hive Tyrant. The fierce impact made him stagger backward a few steps.
This situation was extremely rare in his combat career.
Normally, when facing a Hive Tyrant, Titus could rely on his superb fighting skills to cut them down, but today he was in grave danger.
(Actually, this is a plot kill from the Warhammer 2 Space Marine game)
Worse still, Titus's tactical senses detected a faint, strange fluctuation in the air.
He spun around sharply, only to see a slight distortion in the air—it was an Invisible Tyranid! By the time he reacted, it was already too late.
In the nick of time, a golden light descended from the sky, precisely piercing the head of the Invisible Tyranid.
Flesh splattered, and the Tyranid's camouflage ability immediately failed. It twisted and collapsed.
"What was that?" Titus looked up at the sky.
High up, a golden meteor was plunging at an astonishing speed, the surrounding airflow distorted by the high temperature. The Tyranids seemed to sense the threat too, and they raised their heads toward the sky, emitting shrill shrieks.
"Take cover!" Titus shouted to his nearby battle brothers, rolling immediately to avoid the impact zone.
Boom!
The golden meteor slammed into the center of the Tyranid Swarm. The shockwave spread out in a ring, sending dozens of Tyranids flying into the air.
Shattered rock flew everywhere, and a massive crater, over ten meters in diameter, appeared in the center of the battlefield. The surrounding Tyranids were knocked down by the shockwave, and those closest were even shattered into pieces.
When the dust settled, a towering figure was kneeling on one knee. Everyone held their breath—it was a gigantic warrior completely covered in pure golden Power Armor, standing at least three meters tall, far exceeding a normal Space Marine.
"A Custodian? No, that's not right..." Titus narrowed his eyes. Although the armor glittered gold, the details were distinctly different from the Emperor's Custodians.
The Gold-Armored Space Marine slowly stood up, then raised his right hand and beckoned lightly. The Halberd, which was deeply embedded in the ground, flew back into his hand, tracing a golden arc.
The surrounding Tyranids had not yet reacted when the Gold-Armored Space Marine lunged forward.
His speed was astonishing. The Halberd slashed a golden arc through the air, and the bodies of numerous Tyranids were sliced open.
Several Hive Tyrants charged the Gold-Armored Space Marine simultaneously, their scything arms gleaming with a cold light capable of easily tearing through standard Power Armor.
The Gold-Armored Space Marine did not retreat but advanced, his body flashing as he collided directly with two Hive Tyrants.
In the next second, the bodies of the two Hive Tyrants were utterly pulverized by the tremendous impact, as if they had run into an Imperial Macro-Cannon, sending green bodily fluid splattering.
The Gold-Armored Space Marine turned and strode towards Titus, extending a hand.
"Need a hand, brother?" a deep, calm voice emerged from beneath the Helmet.
Titus hesitated for a second, then grasped the hand. The Gold-Armored Space Marine easily pulled him up. Only then did Titus notice the size difference between them.
"Who are you?" Titus asked.
"Lyon, Company Captain of the Ultramarines Fourth Company," the Gold-Armored Space Marine answered succinctly, "and now the Emperor's Chosen Warrior."
"Ready, Titus?" Lyon asked.
Their eyes met, and without needing any further words, they nodded in unison, turning and charging toward the remaining Tyranid Swarm.
"For the Emperor! Kill these bugs!"
Lyon moved as if through an empty space. His Halberd swept horizontally, cutting several Tyranids in half at the waist, causing green fluid to erupt.
Lyon carved a path, rescuing the Space Marines who were surrounded by Tyranids along the way.
They spontaneously formed a wedge formation and followed Lyon into the Tyranid Swarm.
Lyon pulled the Phantasm from his belt, aiming at the densest cluster of Tyranids.
The muzzle flashed with blinding light, and a beam of Energy sliced through the Tyranid Swarm, incinerating everything in its path to ash. When the Energy beam struck the ground, it triggered a chain reaction of explosions, the light expanding outwards, consuming large numbers of Tyranids.
He didn't need to worry about hitting his allies, as most Terraria weapons allow you to disable friendly fire.
After the blast subsided, only a massive crater nearly twenty meters in diameter remained in the center of the battlefield, with melted rock around the edges.
In the sky, several black dots were rapidly descending—the Ultramarines' Drop Pods were traversing the atmosphere, plummeting toward the surface.
The Drop Pods landed precisely, their locks springing open, and the hatches slamming violently onto the ground.
Fully armed Ultramarines surged out, quickly linking up with Lyon's squad.
"Medical Officer! Over here!" Lyon pointed to Titus and the other wounded. Several Ultramarines Medical Officers immediately rushed toward the casualties.
"Not a lethal wound, just needs minor treatment," Chief Medical Officer Adrian told Titus, taking a hemostatic spray from his kit.
Lyon didn't stop, waving a team of newly arrived Ultramarines: "Follow me! Advance, brothers! For the Emperor! For Mankind!"
The Ultramarines roared in unison: "For the Emperor!" Their battle cry shook the earth.
Lyon led the charge, like a golden sword piercing the belly of the Tyranid Swarm. He was invincible, wielding his Halberd. A Hive Tyrant blocked his path, brandishing its sharp scythe-like arms.
It was instantly impaled by Lyon's charge.
"Third Squad, suppress the right flank! Don't let them get close!"
"Fifth Squad, hold that supply point!"
"Heavy weapons team, deploy to the high ground! Fire coverage to the northwest!"
"Second Squad, reinforce the western defense line!"
"Fire team, redeploy! Cover the Engineers!"
"Medical team! Quickly, wounded to the frontline aid station!"
"Supply transport team, prioritize ammunition to the eastern high ground!"
As the battle progressed, Lyon gradually began to clearly hear the shouts of the Mortal Soldiers around him. He looked up, and through the smoke and fire, he saw an Imperial Auxiliaries position being besieged by the Tyranid Swarm, the defense line on the verge of collapse.
"Hold the line! For the Emperor!" the Officer on the position shouted, his voice laced with despair.
Lyon leaped up suddenly, his Yharon's Wings expanding behind him. The golden light was especially dazzling in the smoke-filled battlefield. He quickly ascended, surveying the battle situation.
The Imperial Auxiliaries position was critical, with thousands of Tyranids closing in from multiple directions. Lyon hovered in the air, drawing the Starlight Cannon from his waist.
"Prepare to receive aerial fire support!" His voice carried directly to the ears of the Mortal Soldiers.
The Imperial Auxiliaries officers and men looked up, seeing the golden figure suspended in the air, and showed expressions of surprise and awe.
No one questioned the order, and they quickly evacuated the defensive positions.
Lyon adjusted the muzzle, aiming at the Tyranid Swarm. The moment he pulled the trigger, countless Energy bullets rained down.
Each Energy projectile, upon hitting a Tyranid, triggered a small explosion, and subsequently, several golden Energy Tendrils drilled out from the Tyranid's body, spreading outwards, coiling around and consuming every Tyranid they touched.
In just over ten seconds, the Tyranids surrounding the Imperial Auxiliaries were completely wiped out, leaving only a scorched, damaged patch of earth and countless Tyranid remains.
Lyon slowly descended into the center of the Imperial Auxiliaries position, his golden Wings folding back. The Mortal Soldiers looked at the warrior who had descended like a deity and immediately knelt on one knee, their eyes filled with fanaticism and reverence.
"My Lord!" the Imperial Auxiliaries Commander knelt on one knee, his right hand on his chest, bowing slightly. "Thank you for your rescue."
The moment he finished speaking, the ground suddenly shook. The Mortal Soldiers' faces changed drastically, and they looked towards the horizon, where a gigantic Tyranid Swarm Lord was walking with heavy steps.
The monster was over ten meters tall, making the ground tremble with every step. Its massive forelimbs gleamed coldly, capable of easily ripping apart a Walker Tank.
"Retreat! Everyone retreat!" the Commander shouted, his face full of despair.
[SUPER BLOCK MAN]: @AAA Terra Toilet Wholesale, Lyon, Energy Collector progress is at 98%. Hurry up and push harder.
Lyon chuckled softly: "Here we go."
He stomped the ground and leaped into the air, then swooped down like a cannonball toward the Tyranid Swarm Lord.
With a tremendous crash, dust and smoke surged skyward. The Imperial Auxiliaries soldiers held their breath, staring intently at the smoke.
Then, they saw a golden figure emerge from the smoke, holding the Tyranid Swarm Lord's head, which was larger than an adult man's, green blood still dripping.
"The Emperor is with us!" the soldiers erupted in cheers.
[SUPER BLOCK MAN]: Energy Collection complete! Well done!
As Lyon continued his slaughter, the Interdimensional Energy value was finally filled.
Ian received the message from the Transmutation Tablet and immediately took action.
He mobilized a large amount of EMC Energy, constructing a Portal leading to the Warhammer World. As large amounts of EMC were consumed, a Portal appeared.
Ian walked up to the Portal and stepped directly into this universe filled with war and death.
"Warhammer Universe, I am finally here."
