Chapter 303 - The News Spread Across The Sea

As soon as Sengoku finished speaking, Tsuru also thought of that sly old fox, Garp, and an equally helpless expression appeared on her face.

Of course, she also knew... that Garp had indeed been messing around quite a bit during this period.

When the East Blue incident began, she heard he had not even gone out to sea.

After the incident ended, he was still on the road. Now that even the Enies Lobby incident had ended, that old man still had not returned.

How could that possibly make sense?

They had clearly agreed that his vacation would be temporarily requisitioned and compensated later.

But when they wanted that old man to work, he used the excuse of work to continue vacationing in the East Blue.

It could be said that he did not handle a single matter, yet he still enjoyed his vacation!

Now that so many things had happened at Marine Headquarters, as the Hero of the Marines, it was indeed time for him to return.

"I understand. I'll properly persuade that guy later!"

"Persuade my ass. Tell him that if he doesn't come back, not only will I not approve his travel reimbursements, I won't approve his vacation next year either."

Sengoku snapped angrily. Then he sat back down, took a deep breath, and after a moment, once again regained the imposing presence of the Fleet Admiral.

With authority, he swept his gaze over the marine officers before him. "Now, let's talk about how to deal with the Umbrella Corporation and Marshall D. Teach."

Everyone: "..."

As these words fell, the entire conference room once again fell silent.

Everyone's face carried a trace of hesitation and complexity, as if they did not know how to speak.

Thus, after about a quarter of an hour had passed, a certain Rear-Admiral finally raised his hand and said in a serious tone: "I think the analysis team should update the information on Ian, the God of Sun, again."

Everyone: "..."

These words instantly caused everyone's expressions to tense.

That's right, an update was indeed necessary.

The failure of this mission was largely due to a misjudgment of Ian, the God of the Sun's strength.

That guy, in the darkness of night... was actually still able to use his Devil Fruit abilities, completely inconsistent with what was described.

"Based on the information that was sent back..."

Tsuru also frowned in thought while recalling the footage returned by the Buster Call fleet, and said: "Ia,n the God of Su,n seems to have released the light of the sun through his weapon, the Divine Axe Rhitta. However, Marine Headquarters has already questioned the weapon's creator, Dr. Vegapunk. He was also very confused and stated that he did not install such an ability on the axe."

Ian, the God of Sun's weapon, was forged by Vegapunk back then, using Ain's Devil Fruit in exchange for it.

"I estimate that under his refinement, that axe must have undergone some kind of change, perhaps similar to certain legendary cursed blades. But regardless, if we encounter that guy at night in the future, we will need to be cautious. We also cannot be completely certain whether that light at the time was produced by his axe, or by himself."

"Vice-Admiral Tsuru is right."

Sengoku also expressed his agreement with Tsuru's analysis. "I will also have the analysis team update the information on Ian, the God of Sun, and collect as much intelligence on that guy as possible."

At this point, he paused slightly and then continued: "Next is Marshall D. Teach..."

However, before Sengoku could finish speaking, at that moment…

"Knock!" "Knock!" "Knock!"

A knocking sound came from the door, forcing Sengoku to stop mid-sentence.

Like the other marine officers, he turned to look toward the doorway.

When he saw a marine standing at the door holding a stack of documents, Sengoku frowned slightly and said calmly, "Come in. Speak. What happened?"

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku."

After saluting Sengoku, the marine directly handed the documents to him. "These are documents sent over from the World Government."

"The World Government..."

Upon hearing that it was from the World Government, Sengoku seemed to recall what had happened earlier. A trace of anger appeared on his face, but he still took a deep breath and suppressed it.

He did not vent his anger on the marine. Taking the documents, he replied: "I understand. You may leave."

And then, under the puzzled gazes of the other marines present, he lowered his head to read the documents.

Immediately afterward, as if he had seen something, his eyes narrowed at once. He stared intently at the stack of bounty posters in his hands and muttered to himself: "Five hundred Million Belly..."

...

As time passed, the sunlight of the next day once again spread across this sea.

The impact brought by the incident also erupted at this moment.

Countless forces successively received news that an earth-shaking event had occurred in the first half of the Grand Line last night.

Especially from the moment the newspapers from the news agency were delivered to the various factions, innumerable forces were left dumbfounded by the events of last night.

All CP9 executive agents of the World Government's intelligence organization were wiped out; Enies Lobby was destroyed; the Buster Call appeared once again, yet broken by Ian, the God of Sun…

All of these events made the hearts of every faction tremble. Especially when they saw that the World Government had issued a Buster Call and dispatched fifteen large fleets and two marine admirals, yet in the end were still beaten by Ian, the God of Sun, their hearts were filled with disbelief.

You must understand that was a Buster Call!

In history, whenever the World Government issued a Buster Call, what was the final outcome?

Everything was erased!

And this time, two marine admirals were dispatched. The result was not only heavy losses, but in the end, the other side calmly departed, and the Buster Call fleet did not even dare to give chase.

How utterly unbelievable was that?!

Of course, what shocked people even more was… the blood of Rocks, Marshall D. Teach incident!!!

That Teach, famed across the seas for his loyalty and righteousness, was actually the son of the old-era pirate who nearly became the king of the world, the captain of the Rocks Pirates?!
