As was the case on most days, Haley was in her studio. But unlike she normally would be doing, Haley was not working. Instead, she was on a video call with her best friend. Unlike the calls that they had been having recently though, the tone of the current conversation was completely different. It was lighter, happier, and Haley felt a twinge of guilt upon realizing that she was the one that had been bringing down the mood the entire time.
"Erin?"
"Yes," Her friend paused mid-sentence, and Haley looked at her for a bit, then she decided to just come out and say it.
"I am sorry that the disagreements that Deacon and I have been having have featured so heavily in our conversations. I know it could not have been easy for you. You are far from home, nothing familiar in sight, and I have been using the few chances that you get to talk to somebody on the home front to complain.Thank you for being so patient with me," Her friend, the saint that she was, merely shrugged.
