For quite some time Deacon had been a bad friend, that much he was well aware of.
All that he had done during calls between himself and Paul had been to complain about Haley Slater. His and Slater's fake marriage had nothing to do with Paul, and yet Deacon had been making it the other man's problem. Constantly confiding in him because he knew that Paul was not going to take the information and use it against him.
As expected, his friend had been very helpful to him the entire time, never once complaining.But that still did not stop Deacon from feeling bad about everything. Which was why for the current call that he and Paul were having, he had decided that the spotlight belonged to his friend and only his friend.
So far, Paul had been talking for close to an hour, and Deacon had not interrupted, not even once.
