Inside the elegant Moon Pavilion, Tang Yuehua stood frozen as she stared at the glowing screen of the mysterious group chat. When the name Ah Yin appeared among the messages, her heart skipped a beat.
However, as she read the words Ah Yin had sent, the initial shock turned into a wave of cold panic. She whispered the name to herself, wondering if the gentle soul she once knew was about to do something terrible.
Tang Yuehua knew that Ah Yin was currently enduring the darkest, most painful moment of her long life. She feared that Ah Yin might be contemplating self-destruction to end her suffering.
Quickly, Tang Yuehua began to type into the chat interface. She sent a message saying that Ah Yin should not scare them like this. She followed up by telling Ah Yin to look at the examples of Liu Erlong and Bibi Dong.
Even though the first halves of their lives were filled with tragedy and pain, they still had the second half of their lives to look forward to. She insisted that Ah Yin still had a future waiting for her. Tang Yuehua felt a deep, gnawing worry in her chest. She had spent the entire previous day comforting Liu Erlong, ensuring she wasn't alone.
But Ah Yin was different. Ah Yin had already performed a sacrifice, leaving her in a weakened, near-death state. Her living conditions were likely terrible, hidden away in some dark corner without anyone to offer a kind word or a comforting touch. Tang Yuehua worried that this latest blow to Ah Yin's heart would be the final straw that she simply could not bear.
On the other side of the continent, Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong were also stunned by the messages. They turned their heads at the same time to look at Zhu Zhuqing, seeking some kind of answer. Zhu Zhuqing did not speak immediately; she only shook her head slightly with a grim expression. Just as she had suspected, Ah Yin was already at the edge of existence, struggling just to maintain a shred of consciousness. To someone in such a fragile state, a massive emotional blow would make them feel that life was no longer worth the effort.
Xiao Wu, using her nickname Loves Eating Carrots, quickly typed a plea for Aunt Ah Yin not to give up, promising that everything would eventually get better. Ning Rongrong, the Seven Treasures Little Princess, joined in, acknowledging how desperate Ah Yin must feel but urging her to hold on for the sake of her future.
Liu Erlong, never one to mince words, took a different approach. she asked Ah Yin if she really wanted to benefit that scoundrel Tang Hao by giving up on herself. She told Ah Yin to pull herself together and turn her grief and anger into a source of strength. She suggested that Ah Yin should live to kill Tang Hao, then kill Tang San, and eventually wipe out all the faithless people in the world.
Hu Liena chimed in, mentioning that her teacher, Bibi Dong, believed someone was in grave danger. Xiao Wu quickly replied, telling everyone to stop slandering Su Yan. She insisted that even without the Golden Finger, Su Yan would never deceive a Spirit Beast into sacrificing its spirit ring. She felt one hundred percent sure of his character. She then begged Aunt Ah Yin to say something so they would know she was still there.
Inside the grand Supreme Pontiff Palace, Hu Liena looked at Bibi Dong with a confused and worried expression. She asked if Ah Yin would really go through with her threat of self-destruction. Bibi Dong looked out over the city and shook her head. She explained that for a Hundred Thousand Year Spirit Beast who had already sacrificed herself, it was a miracle she even had a consciousness left.
If the betrayal by Tang Hao and Tang San destroyed her will to live, then her soul would truly perish forever. Hu Liena felt a sharp pang of distress hearing this. Even though Ah Yin was the mother of Tang San, her tragic experience made Hu Liena feel a deep sense of shared pain and anger.
Hu Liena typed furiously into the chat, calling Tang Hao a bastard. She told Ah Yin that they wouldn't allow her to give up and asked her to learn from the resilience of Liu Erlong. She shared that her teacher had also experienced immense darkness, but instead of breaking, she had become much stronger.
She told Ah Yin that even the Supreme Pontiff hoped she would get better, asking if Ah Yin truly lacked the courage to keep living. Others joined in, with the user I Am an Orphan reminding Ah Yin that she had been given a second chance at life.
Zhu Zhuqing, the Cat in the Shadows, urged Ah Yin to cherish the opportunity for rebirth that heaven had provided. Another group member agreed, saying that Ah Yin's kindness was the reason she was given this chance and that she must use it to finally be herself.
Far away at Sea God Island, the High Priestess Bo Saixi was also in a complex mood. She didn't want the group to focus on her own secret identity, but she certainly didn't want the topic to change because of a tragedy like Ah Yin's death. She sent a message saying that life is never perfect and is instead about continuous improvement.
Dugu Yan, writing under the name Yanzi is not a Swallow, expressed how upsetting the situation was. She claimed that if she had the power to defeat Tang Hao, she would tear him apart limb by limb and slice him into a thousand pieces.
Inside a moving carriage, Dugu Yan was almost exploding with rage. She cursed Tang Hao, saying he didn't deserve to be called a human. She listed his crimes: his father's death, abandoning his son, and driving his wife to sacrifice herself.
Now, he was even driving her to permanent death. She called him a beast. Ye Lingling sighed softly and looked over at Su Yan, asking if Ah Yin would really be in trouble. Su Yan thought for a moment before answering. He explained that after the sacrifice, Tang Hao had hidden Ah Yin's remaining seed in a very remote place.
The emotional blow she was feeling was massive because she truly had nothing left. If her heart died, her physical form as a plant would die too. Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling looked distressed and asked Su Yan if there was any way he could save her. Su Yan nodded slowly and said he would try.
Su Yan then sent a series of shocking messages to the group chat. He told Ah Yin to just go ahead and rest in peace. He claimed that after she perished, Tang Hao would take the Tang San from the other world to the territory of the Blue Silver Grass clan. There, they would deceive the Blue Silver King into sacrificing himself for the otherworld Tang San so he could become the new Blue Silver Emperor.
Su Yan warned that the clan would lose both their Emperor and their King, leaving them as nothing but food for the herbivorous Spirit Beasts of the Star Dou Great Forest. Without their leaders, the Blue Silver Grass would become ordinary weeds, and no intelligent beasts would ever be born from them again.
The entire group chat was filled with question marks as everyone reacted in shock. Meanwhile, in a dark, silent space, Ah Yin's consciousness suddenly snapped awake. Her eyes flew open, filled with a sudden, burning anger. She could not believe what she was hearing. Was Tang Hao really going to let the Blue Silver King sacrifice himself for a stranger? She realized that if she died and the King was lost, her entire race would be doomed to live for less than ten thousand years, perhaps even less than a few thousand.
Ah Yin asked Su Yan if what he said was really true. Su Yan replied that it was absolutely the truth. He pointed out that Tang San's current Blue Silver Grass was a useless Spirit that failed instantly against fire or ice. He asked Ah Yin if she really thought Tang Hao hadn't planned a way to fix that. He explained that because Tang San carried her bloodline, it would be easy for them to trick the Blue Silver King with sweet words.
He told Ah Yin to just die and let them use her people one more time. He described how the otherworld Tang San would wear her Spirit Bone and use her powers to become famous across the continent, all while her own clan suffered in silence. He called her sacrifice "great" in a sarcastic way, saying she was helping a God King achieve his goals at the cost of her own kind.
In the hidden cave where Ah Yin was kept, the withered blade of grass suddenly began to grow at an incredible speed. Its leaves became a deep, healthy green, and its roots dug firmly into the soil. Within her seed space, Ah Yin was filled with a mixture of grief and pure indignation. She screamed "No!" in her mind. she refused to let them succeed. She would not let the Blue Silver King sacrifice himself, and she would not let her clansmen lose their protection.
Ah Yin messaged the group, thanking them and announcing she had decided not to die. She asked Su Yan what she could do to stop the sacrifice. Su Yan replied that it would be difficult because she needed to be resurrected first, as the clan could only have one Emperor at a time. Ah Yin asked for his help, saying she just needed to be brought back to her clan's territory where she could recover her strength with the help of her people.
The user I Am an Orphan expressed confusion, asking why Ah Yin wasn't already in her clan's territory. Ning Rongrong reiterated that Tang Hao was a beast for keeping her away from her home. Dugu Yan asked why Tang Hao hadn't taken her there if she had a chance to resurrect. One member joked that Dugu Yan needed to use her head more to see the obvious truth of Tang Hao's greed.
Hu Liena then posted a message saying her teacher suspected Su Yan was waiting for Ah Yin to offer herself to him in exchange for saving her life. The group chat erupted in confusion and jokes. Su Yan quickly claimed it was slander, while Liu Erlong joked that Tang Yuehua was slandering her as well.
