Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Improvement

One day had passed since the Honkai outbreak, and Kiana and her two companions were currently resting in a supermarket. Bronya's Project Bunny had also been repaired, along with her exoskeleton.

The mech bunny was more than enough to take care of the mob, so Kiana and Mei no longer had to run away every time they saw a group of Honkai beasts.

When they encountered a group of Honkai beasts, Mei and Kiana didn't need to speak or charge into battle. Bronya only needed to lightly raise her hand, control Project Bunny, and then… art is explosion!

This could easily deal with troublesome groups of Honkai beasts. Mei would also praise her at this time, and even, with Bronya's permission, she could pat Bronya on the head.

Kiana watched, her heart souring, even affecting Verna in her consciousness space.

"Hey! Stop being so sour! You're affecting me!" Verna, hugging a pillar, shouted at Kiana from below the sea of vinegar. Only then did Kiana come back to her senses and quickly calm her emotions.

"I'm sorry. Oh, right, I always forget to ask, who exactly are you, Big sister? Why are you inside me? And also, do you know anything about my stinky dad?" Kiana's questions bombarded the Verna's ears like a barrage of cannonballs.

After confirming there was no more sourness in the consciousness space, Verna Conjure a sofa and lay down on it.

"Me? Hmm… my origins are a bit complicated. I'll tell you when there's a chance. What you need to do now is find a way to leave Nagazora, understand?" Verna lay on the sofa, chips in her left hand and cola in her right, living a very comfortable life.

"Yes, yes, yes, honestly, so mysterious…" Kiana rolled her eyes and muttered in a low voice, completely forgetting that the connection hadn't been cut and she still could hear it.

"I can still hear you, your connection isn't cut," Verna's smiling voice rang out. Kiana's face instantly turned bright red, and she hastily cut the connection.

"Ugh, ugh, ugh, it's so embarrassing to be caught speaking ill of someone behind their back!" Kiana wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into, but unfortunately, there were no cracks here.

"Stupid Kiana," Bronya's flat, childlike voice rang out. Kiana looked up and retorted with a displeased face: "I'm not stupid! Shorty!"

Bronya didn't argue with Kiana. Instead, she lowered her head slightly and apologized: "I'm sorry, Kiana."

This action startled Kiana, causing her to jump up, grab a baseball bat, and point it at Bronya, saying with a terrified expression: "I don't care what kind of monster you are, get out of Shorty's body right now! Otherwise, otherwise, I'll let you taste the bat!"

Bronya's face was instanly covered in black lines. After repeatedly hypnotizing herself that she needed their help and couldn't get angry, she slowly raised both hands.

"Bronya isn't possessed, Kiana. Bronya just…" Bronya started to squirm at this point. Kiana glanced at Mei, who was resting against a shelf not far away, her expression wary.

"What do you want to do?" Adhering to the principle that something unusual means something is amiss, Kiana was ready to spring up at any moment and hit Bronya with a baseball bat.

"Bronya, Bronya wants to… meet the person inside you." Bronya lowered her head. She wanted to ask the herrscher if there was a way to enter the Sea of Quanta. As for asking the help? Don't joke around. She had just beaten Kiana and tried to capture her and Mei. Would anyone really help her after that?

"Huh? You want to meet the being inside me…" Kiana frowned. She didn't know whether to agree, but in terms of both reason and emotion, she should tell Verna about this.

"Alright, I'll ask her for you. Don't blame me if she refuses," Kiana's heart softened when she saw Bronya's pleading (?) eyes, and she nodded at her.

"Thank you…" Bronya was on the verge of bowing to Kiana. In Kiana's eyes, it might have been a small matter, but in Bronya's eyes, this was the hope of saving Seele!

Inside the consciousness space, Verna was unceremoniously sitting cross-legged on the carpet, both hands on a game console. To her left was soda, and to her right were chips and small cakes. She was still wearing that loose white short-sleeved shirt with the words "Strongest" written on it, her bare shoulders revealing the white camisole underneath.

Below, she wore purple-maroon shorts with white trim. Her long, slender legs were bare, her exquisite feet exposed without concealment. Her white hair was also a bit messy.

"I gonna kill your designer! Why is this character so fucking broken!" Verna suddenly threw the controller to the ground and began to curse.

This was a game she had extracted from Aviva's memory, called something like Black Myth, but she couldn't beat Erlang Shen no matter what she tried.

"Big sister? Are you there, Big sister? It's Kiana. I need to talk to you." Upon hearing Kiana's voice, Verna paused slightly, then lowered her head to look at her attire. Her pretty face instantly turned red. To avoid Kiana seeing her in this state, she changed back into normal clothes at the fastest speed, and her hair was also neatly combed.

"Cough, cough, come in," After disintegrating all the snacks, Verna sat on a chair and lightly coughed twice, agreeing to Kiana's request to enter the consciousness space.

"Is there something, Kiana?" Verna's tone was gentle, showing no trace of the irritable older sister who had been cursing just moments ago.

"It's like this, Big sister, Bronya said she wants to meet you alone and talk to you. I felt I needed to tell you." Kiana sat up straight. Verna was full of questions upon hearing that Bronya wanted to see her.

'No, she wants to see me? Seriously? Is this plot not quite right, or is there something about me that deserves her attention?' Verna felt her CPU overheating. She came back to her senses and nodded gently at Kiana.

"Then let's meet her. We can also see what she wants."

Kiana heard this and actively spoke: "So, should I hand over control to you now?"

Under normal circumstances, Verna would certainly take over control and talk to Bronya using Kiana's body, but to kiana surprise, Verna shook her head.

"No, I'll go meet her myself."

Kiana was stunned by Verna's words. Meet bronya herself? How?

Verna immediately gave Kiana the answer. In the outside world, a translucent figure, identical to Kiana except for her golden eyes, floated out of Kiana's body…

No, Bronya's gaze sharpened. This translucent soul didn't have Kiana's foolishness, which meant…

"What do you want from me? Are you planning to continue our dance?" Verna sat on a shelf with her legs crossed. Without her permission, others couldn't see her.

Bronya lowered her head and bowed slightly, her remaining emotions fluctuating, her voice pleading: "Bronya… Bronya wants to ask, do you know how to enter the Sea of Quanta?"

Understanding flashed in the Verna's eyes. So, Bronya thought she had clues on how to enter the Sea of Quanta, which was why she wanted to talk to her.

She chuckled softly, leaned forward, dropped from the shelf, hooked Bronya's chin, looked directly into Bronya's eyes, and said mockingly: "I know, but so what?"

"Please tell Bronya!" Bronya became emotional, even bending her knees as if to kneel before Verna, but Kiana stopped her.

"Bronya's sister… fell into the Sea of Quanta because of an experiment. Please, please, tell Bronya…" Bronya was like a drowning person, clinging desperately to her last straw of hope.

"Even if I tell you, it's useless. You're too weak. Telling you would only send you to your death for nothing." The Verna scrutinized Bronya and mocked her.

Bronya's expression changed slightly, becoming somewhat pale. Too weak… yes, she was too weak. If she were strong enough, she wouldn't have to watch Seele disappear, and she wouldn't have to place her hope in others…

Ultimately, it was a lack of strength. Bronya felt a sense of powerlessness, only able to stand by leaning on Kiana, her beautiful eyes empty and lifeless.

"But~" The tables turned. The Verna's drawn-out words reignited hope in Bronya. She dashed forward… well, floated over, wanting to grab Verna's hand, but passed straight through her.

"Don't even think about it. She's just a projection-like existence, you can't touch her." Kiana patted Bronya's shoulder, signaling her to calm down. Bronya calmed down and looked at Verna, waiting for her to continue.

"As long as you have the combat power of an S-Rank Valkyrie, I'll take you to the place where you can enter the Sea of Quanta, how about it?" Verna's words moved Bronya. An S-Rank Valkyrie, it sounded difficult, and in reality, it is inded almost impossible to become one.

But she had the confidence in herself. At least there was a hope and clear goal!

So, Bronya nodded and agreed: "Okay! It's a deal!"
