Chapter 170 - Chapter 170 Two Magics

"Disaster? A small matter, two spells can handle it."

The Black Robe Wizard glanced into the distance and said, "Since you agree, let's start the assessment now. What is 1952683 plus 1354554? Answer within three seconds."

Hawkeye blinked, trying to calculate, but found that he had even forgotten the numbers.

At this moment, Scarlett answered, "3307237."

The Black Robe Wizard asked, "Are you sure? Remember, you only have one chance."

"I am very sure."

Scarlett said, as a genius who graduated from university at the age of twelve, she never lacked confidence.

The Black Robe Wizard asked again, "One last chance for you, little girl, your talent is good, don't waste it."

"3307237."

Scarlett didn't hesitate at all; even if God came, the number would still be this.

"Correct answer, little girl, the greatest point in learning magic is to believe in yourself. The heart is the root of magic. The greater your heart, the greater your magic."

The Black Robe Wizard looked at Scarlett with satisfaction and said, "Sign the contract. From now on, you are my magic apprentice. If you perform well in the future, you may even become my official student."

"Thank you, Teacher."

Scarlett was overjoyed, lowering her head to carefully examine the contract—the contract was very simple: from now on, Scarlett's soul belongs to… (That was a string of magical text that Scarlett could not decipher).

Scarlett didn't hesitate and signed her name.

The Black Robe Wizard retrieved the contract and said, "To cast magic, you must pray for power from powerful beings. You give me your soul, and from now on, you can directly draw my magic power."

"So, Teacher, you are a powerful being?"

Scarlett asked excitedly. She was very satisfied with this Teacher; he completely matched her imagination of a Mage: powerful, mysterious, dignified, and completely different from a certain unseemly fellow.

"There aren't many stronger than me."

The Black Robe Wizard pointed at Andrew and said, "Scarlett, I'm very busy lately, so he will help you complete the basic courses."

Scarlett was dumbfounded: "What?"

Andrew smiled and said, "Don't worry, although I'm not very serious, teaching you magic is not a big problem."

Scarlett asked with shame and anger, "You read my mind again?"

Andrew spread his hands: "I told you, it's micro-expression observation. Believe in science, dear."

The Black Robe Wizard ignored the two of them. He raised his right hand and beckoned, and Rumlow's damaged Iron Man Suit appeared out of nowhere on the balcony. Then, he summoned a ball of flame and enveloped the Iron Man Suit.

As the Iron Man Suit began to melt, the Black Robe Wizard continuously added magic materials, such as the Uru metal generously gifted by Thor.

Uru metal is a magical metal. After fusing with the Iron Man Suit, the armor will possess magical properties, such as being able to engrave runes on it.

Soon, a streamlined red armor appeared before everyone's eyes. Then, the Black Robe Wizard pointed a finger, and the armor quickly shrunk, hanging at Scarlett's waist.

The Black Robe Wizard said, "This armor currently only has basic functions like shrinking and self-repair. You must turn it into a powerful magic item within the next three years. If you can't complete it, you are not qualified to be my magic apprentice."

"Yes, thank you, Teacher."

Scarlett was overjoyed and quickly thanked him. Three years was definitely no problem, after all, she was a genius.

At this moment, Scarlett thought of something and turned to look at Andrew, feeling a little uneasy—she was indeed a genius, but the problem was that the person teaching her was a bit, no, quite unreliable.

"Very good, now let's help you solve this disaster."

The Black Robe Wizard nodded and disappeared from the magic array.

Andrew snapped his fingers and said excitedly, "Showtime, showtime."

The magic array flashed, revealing the scene of the coastal City. Overall, it could be summed up in two words: bad, very bad.

Inside the City, Rampage Creatures devoured humans everywhere. Neither skyscrapers nor cars could stop these dinosaurs. They feasted, and their bodies grew even larger.

On the beach, the Superheroes were almost unable to hold on.

That's right, they were almost unable to hold on. Stone Man was flung thousands of meters by a Tyrant Dragon's tail and was now dragging his injured body to get back here.

Dr. Reed was hit by the Spinosaurus's venom and was seriously injured.

Rhodes was attacked by White and the Tyrant Dragon, his Iron Man Suit twisted and deformed, unable to even fly.

Only Steve, Tony, and Human Torch were in slightly better condition and could continue fighting, but how long they could last was truly unknown.

The Rampage Creatures were too terrifying; one careless move and they would suffer heavy damage.

"Even the Superheroes can't do it?"

Someone had been live-streaming the battle. When the public saw that even the Superheroes couldn't stop the Rampage Creatures, they couldn't help but feel despair.

"Who can save us?"

The public prayed continuously in their hearts. If no one came to save them, they would all become food for the dinosaurs.

"That's enough."

Andrew pulled the public into an illusion and began to sign soul contracts. Under the threat of the Rampage Creatures, most of the public chose to sign the contract.

In the coastal City, the sky suddenly became covered with dark clouds. Immediately after, a black figure emanating black mist slowly descended from the dark clouds, looking down at the entire City from the sky.

"What's going on?"

Everyone in the City simultaneously felt a pressure. Tony cursed with shock and anger, "What else happened?"

Steve looked up and shouted in surprise, "Wait, it seems to be the Mage who solved the Electronic Round Palace last time."

"What, really?"

Everyone was immediately overjoyed upon hearing this. That Mage was not just ordinarily powerful; even the Electronic Round Palace was no match for him, let alone these dinosaurs.

Hope couldn't help but rise in the hearts of the Superheroes and the public. This Mage should be here to help them, right? He couldn't just be passing by, could he?

The Black Robe Wizard didn't waste words. He raised his hand and clapped in the air. The souls of White and all the dinosaurs were simultaneously slapped out of their bodies, floating in mid-air, looking around in confusion and terror.

"What kind of magic is this?"

Everyone watched in astonishment. This magic was too incredible, too unbelievable!

Tony looked at the motionless dinosaurs and the floating souls, his eyes as bright as light bulbs: "This is a soul? I really want to study it."

Andrew introduced to Hawkeye and Scarlett, "This is magic from a sacred place of magic. It can slap souls out of bodies. However, only high-level Mages dare to use this move because it's easy to shatter the opponent's soul."

Scarlett asked hopefully, "Can you do it?"

Andrew smiled and said, "Perhaps."

Scarlett was speechless. It's either 'yes' or 'no,' what's 'perhaps'? Schrödinger's 'yes'?

With his feet off the ground and the drug shut off, his intelligent mind once again took the high ground—in his soul state, White's intelligence came back online, and he cried out in terror to Tony, "Iron Man, I surrender."

Tony couldn't hear White's voice, but from his lip movements, he could make out what White was shouting. He quickly yelled up at the sky, "This Mage, she has surrendered, please show mercy."

The power of the Rampage Creatures was obvious to all. More importantly, the enemy had already mastered this technology. In this situation, White could not die; the world needed her.

The Black Robe Wizard ignored Tony, raised his left hand, and drew a circle. The next second, a circle of sparks appeared simultaneously beneath the feet of White and all the dinosaurs.

Then, the bodies and souls of all the Rampage Creatures simultaneously fell into the circle and disappeared.

Just like that, in two simple steps, the Rampage Creatures that the Superheroes were completely helpless against were all dealt with. The Black Robe Wizard did not linger; his body dissipated like mist, leaving no trace.

"Too amazing."

Everyone couldn't help but cheer. The Superheroes and the audience also breathed a sigh of relief, filled with immense awe at the Black Robe Wizard's power.

The Rampage Creatures, which even a legion might not have been able to defeat, were just like that, effortlessly handled by him.

Only Tony was very displeased. The Black Robe Wizard hadn't looked at him once from beginning to end. Clearly, in the Black Robe Wizard's mind, he was nothing.

"Shit."

Tony said his self-esteem was a little hurt. Immediately, he secretly clenched his fists, vowing to become stronger.

Not only to regain his dignity but also to protect the world. For the Superheroes, today was definitely a humiliation.

Steve shouted to everyone, "Ben, you take Reed and them to the hospital. There are many people trapped under the ruins in the City. We'll go rescue them."

"Okay."

Aside from the injured Superheroes, everyone else nodded. This disaster had basically come to an end.

On the balcony, Andrew dispersed the magic array and said, "It's over."

"Too amazing."

Hawkeye and Scarlett exclaimed simultaneously. Scarlett secretly clenched her fists, determined to study hard and strive to become an official disciple of the Teacher. That would be her glory.

Scarlett eagerly asked Andrew, "When will you teach me magic?"

"So eager? Then now is fine."

Andrew smiled. Then, he waved to Hawkeye and said, "Muggles, you can go now."

Hawkeye resisted the urge to flip him off, turned and left. Then, Andrew clapped his hands together, and a seal enveloped the balcony. People outside couldn't see or hear what was happening inside.

Scarlett was stunned: "So formal?"

"Of course, it has to be formal, Miss Scarlett. The rules of the magic world are very strict. What I pass on to you, unless I agree, you are not allowed to pass on to anyone."

Andrew said seriously, "If you break your promise, no matter which plane you are on, I will kill you."

Andrew's seriousness made Scarlett a little uncomfortable. She solemnly promised, "I understand, I will not pass on magical knowledge to anyone."

"Very good, let's begin."

Andrew said, "Next, I will introduce you to the basic knowledge of magic, as well as some situations of the current magical world on Earth.

The strongest magical sacred place on Earth is Kamar-Taj, overseen by the Sorcerer Supreme…"

"Sorcerer Supreme? Guardian of Earth?"

Scarlett listened with great interest, feeling a whole new world slowly opening before her.

In the room, Hawkeye, who was eavesdropping with his ears perked up, found that he couldn't hear anything and pouted unhappily. He was genuinely interested in magic. When he used to work in the circus, he loved watching magicians perform the most.
