Chapter 169 - Chapter 169 Apprentice

The Tyrant Dragon didn't care about such things; it stomped through the sand towards the food, extremely hungry and wanting to devour everything.

Steve took a deep breath and began to command, "Attack first. If that doesn't work, Tony, Rhode, Human Torch, the three of you will pin it down, giving the Quinjet a chance to fire its energy cannon."

"Alright."

Everyone nodded. Human Torch, wreathed in flames, flew into the sky.

Then, Steve, Stone Man, Dr. Reed, and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents simultaneously raised their energy rifles towards the Tyrant Dragon, while Tony and Rhode also aimed their machine guns and missiles at the creature.

The next second, dozens of energy beams, six micro-missiles, and a dense barrage of large-caliber bullets all slammed into the Tyrant Dragon's head at the same time.

Most of these attacks hit their mark, but the result left everyone feeling as if they'd fallen into an ice cellar—neither the energy beams, the micro-missiles, nor the large-caliber bullets caused any significant damage.

The Rage serum didn't just make the dinosaurs giant; it integrated various special genes into their bodies.

Besides its massive size, the Tyrant Dragon also possessed incredibly tough scales and a tail covered in sharp spikes; its strength was simply incomparable to that of Pterodactyls or Velociraptors.

Although unharmed, the Tyrant Dragon was enraged. It roared fiercely and charged towards the Superheroes, leaving massive footprints in the sand.

Seeing this, the three of them—Tony, Rhode, and Human Torch—immediately launched an attack on the Tyrant Dragon to attract its attention. Simultaneously, the Quinjet began charging, preparing to fire its energy cannon.

If energy beams weren't enough, then they'd use something bigger.

Just then, a massive rock came whistling from the sea, hitting the Quinjet directly. The Quinjet exploded on impact, turning into a fireball in the air and plummeting down.

"Shit."

Everyone turned in shock, seeing a naked female giant leading a group of berserk dinosaurs fiercely walking onto the beach.

"There's a female giant too?"

Everyone was very surprised. It was clear that the large rock just now was thrown by her.

"Speaking of which, isn't this a bit too much for the eyes?"

Tony quipped. If this were a movie, it would definitely need a holy light censor.

Nick Fury's voice sounded through the communicator: "That's Claire White, the CEO of Gene Energy Company, and the owner of the Rage serum. For some reason, she's turned into a berserker."

"I see. No wonder these dinosaurs came to the City by the sea. It turns out they have a leader among them."

Tony shouted loudly at White, "Madam, I believe you are also a victim. As long as you make the dinosaurs stop, we can help you get revenge."

"Iron, armor."

Iron Man reminded White of the culprit who caused her transformation. She roared, grabbed a rock from the beach, and threw it forcefully at Iron Man, a fierce whistling sound filling the air.

Iron Man hastily dodged. Then, he raised both hands, and two crimson laser beams simultaneously shot towards White's eyes—since negotiation was futile, he would kill the leader first.

White immediately raised her head. The two lasers struck below her eyes, burning through her skin and muscle. Then, the lasers were blocked by her tough bones, unable to penetrate immediately.

"Such strong defense?"

Iron Man's expression changed slightly. He wanted to move the lasers to cut, but at that moment, White raised her left hand to block the lasers. Then, she kicked hard with her right foot, sending a large rock whistling towards Tony.

Tony quickly stopped the lasers and dodged. The rock slammed onto the beach with a thud, kicking up a lot of sand.

White was completely enraged and commanded the berserk dinosaurs to charge. The entire ground trembled beneath the dinosaurs' feet.

Everyone's expressions changed drastically. They quickly dodged to either side, then raised their weapons and fired fiercely at the berserk dinosaurs.

The berserk dinosaurs split into two groups. One group pursued the Superheroes, while the other ignored these 'little bugs' and charged towards the City.

Ah!

The civilians who hadn't escaped earlier ran frantically, but it was too late. A Mosasaur that had come ashore opened its mouth and swallowed two civilians, while the other berserk dinosaurs also feasted excitedly.

Some civilians, seeing this, quickly hid inside buildings. Unfortunately, it was useless—a Tyrannosaurus Rex smashed through a wall and bit at the humans in the hall.

"Run!"

The people in the City were completely terrified and fled frantically towards the outskirts, but unfortunately, traffic was inevitably jammed. The berserk dinosaurs rushed into the streets, excitedly devouring food.

These dinosaurs were in their growth phase and could eat any amount of food, and the more food they ate, the stronger they would become.

The screams from the City filled the Superheroes with anger, but they couldn't stop the dinosaurs because they were being chased by the female giant and the Tyrant Dragon.

That's right, being chased. Quite a few police officers and Agents had already sacrificed themselves.

"Why aren't you here yet?"

Tony asked Howard loudly over the broadcast, but received no response. Just then, Jarvis reminded him, "Mr. Stark, the Peace Knights have already left Dinosaur Island and disappeared."

"What?"

Tony was furious and shocked. The Peace Knights actually left at this time? Without them, who would save this City? Who would deal with those berserk dinosaurs?

Howard was equally puzzled. Before leaving, he asked Andrew, "BOSS, why did you tell us to leave? Hulk really wants to beat up those big monsters."

"I say, do you really have to use Hulk as a shield?"

Andrew said grumpily, "You don't need to worry about the City by the sea. Just leave in peace."

Howard's eyes lit up as he thought of something: "BOSS, are you going to take action yourself?"

"Given the dinosaurs' strength, unless the Electronic Round Palace is used, fighting them would definitely affect the contractors, which is too much trouble. I'll do it myself."

Andrew said, "Rebirth Hell, promise first."

"That's true."

Howard nodded. The berserk dinosaurs were very powerful. Even the Peace Knights couldn't easily win—provided they didn't use the Electronic Round Palace to level the area.

"Earth never lacks geniuses, but geniuses don't necessarily benefit society."

Howard shook his head and disappeared with the Electronic Round Palace.

"Solving those dinosaurs is easy. The problem is, what identity should I use, and what excuse?"

Inside the hotel, Andrew stroked his chin, pondering.

Just then, Hawkeye and Scarlett returned to the hotel. The two children were excited to see Barton back. They shouted, "Daddy, it's so much fun here! The hotel even vibrates, and Mommy said it's the hotel simulating what it's like when a Tyrannosaurus Rex walks by."

"Vibrates?"

Hawkeye was surprised. He chuckled, "That's right, it's a lot of fun. You two keep watching TV, and this afternoon, I'll take you somewhere even more fun."

The two children clapped their hands excitedly, "That's great!"

After comforting the children, Hawkeye and Scarlett walked to the balcony. Hawkeye said gratefully to Andrew, "Mr. Wang, thank you for protecting my family."

Andrew casually replied, "It was nothing. Don't mention it."

"Mr. Wang, the situation in Costa Rica is very bad. Can you provide some help?"

Scarlett couldn't help but ask. Then, she thought of something and added with a dark expression, "Don't say anything about not having magic again. We all know you're a Black Robe Wizard.

A Black Robe Wizard with a terrible personality, who loves to trick people, has lived for hundreds of years, and still pretends to be young all the time."

Andrew and Hawkeye couldn't help but laugh. Clearly, Scarlett had deep resentment towards Andrew.

"Redhead, for some reason, Mr. Wang can only use some ordinary magic."

Hawkeye reminded her—this was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s speculation: Andrew Wang had lost most of his abilities due to lifestyle issues and could only use minor magic.

Scarlett was a little disappointed: "Is that so?"

Andrew chuckled wryly. It was quite interesting that S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were actually helping him with his persona.

At this moment, Alice's voice echoed in Andrew's mind: "BOSS, I just detected that Scarlett has good magical talent."

"So what?"

Andrew asked. Alice said, "Rebirth Hell doesn't lack scientific and technological talent, but it has always lacked magical talent. The runic technology you obtained from Asgard, BOSS, no one has been able to learn it yet."

Runic technology is a fusion of technology and magic. Howard, Trask, and others tried, but they couldn't learn it.

The reason is simple: their minds have become completely scientific, unable to accept overly idealistic things, even though they are already in Hell.

Andrew asked, "You want me to recruit Scarlett?"

"Yes, Scarlett graduated from college at the age of twelve. She's a genius and young enough that her thinking isn't solidified. Plus, with her good magical talent, she's the best candidate to inherit runic technology."

Alice said, "BOSS, your future opponents are Hell Demon Kings. They are all on the magic side, so we need magical talent.

Additionally, runic technology is very suitable for enchantment, so developing some specialized talent is very necessary."

"Genius plus magical talent? Alright, let's recruit a Hell long-term worker, er, no, a Hell Chief Enchanter."

Andrew stroked his chin and made a decision. He said to Scarlett, "I can't help with the situation in Costa Rica, but I can introduce you to a Black Robe Wizard.

If he takes action, mere berserk dinosaurs are nothing. By the way, you should have met him before; he helped resolve the Electronic Round Palace issue."

"That Black Robe Wizard?"

Hawkeye and Scarlett exclaimed in unison. The power of that Black Robe Wizard was still fresh in their minds.

Scarlett asked excitedly, "Can we really ask him for help?"

"Don't be in a hurry. I told you, magic is about equivalent exchange."

Andrew said, "To get him to act, you must pay a huge price, and it also depends on whether he deems you worthy. If he doesn't, no matter what price you pay, he won't help you."

"Deems worthy?"

Scarlett's expression changed slightly: "Are you talking about... that kind of thing?"

Hawkeye frowned: "Mr. Wang, isn't that inappropriate?"

Andrew shrugged and said, "You decide for yourself. I'm just helping with the introduction."

Scarlett gritted her teeth, her expression shifting. She gazed towards the City by the sea, imagining the tragic situation there, and gritted her teeth, "I'm willing to try."

"Why that expression? It's just becoming a magic apprentice. Is it really that difficult?"

Andrew asked with a puzzled look, "Although becoming a magic apprentice requires signing a soul contract, many people can't even get the chance. It's just that I still have some pull in the magic world. Hey, what are you doing? Trying to hit me?"

Scarlett wasn't trying to hit him; she wanted to shoot Andrew in the face with the crossbow bolt in her hand. This bastard, was he tricking her again?

"Mr. Wang."

Hawkeye was speechless. Scarlett had made such a huge decision, and it turned out to be just about becoming a magic apprentice.

"Of course, it's about becoming a magic apprentice. Your thoughts are truly filthy. At his level, how could he lack women? With a single thought, he could summon ten thousand succubi from Hell."

Andrew sneered, "No matter how beautiful you are, can you compare to ten thousand succubi?"

"Mr. Wang, I hope you live a long life."

Scarlett said through gritted teeth. Andrew had lived for hundreds of years, so wishing him a long life meant telling him to die immediately.

"No need to bother. I am as old as the universe. As long as the universe exists, so do I."

Andrew chuckled, "Miss Scarlett, get ready and show your best side to him. You only get one chance."

"Okay."

Scarlett became a little nervous after Andrew's words. She quickly put away her tracking crossbow and tidied her clothes and hair.

"Mr. Wang, do I have a chance to become a magic apprentice?"

Hawkeye asked with a shameless grin. Facing Andrew's and Scarlett's astonished gazes, he asked, "What's so strange? Which man doesn't have a magic dream?"

"I don't. By the way, there's a word in the magic world called 'Muggles,' which suits you perfectly."

Andrew rolled his eyes. Too lazy to waste any more words, he stood up and made a circle with his hands. A white light circle appeared on the ground. Then, a large number of runes emerged around the circle. The runes combined to form a white magic array.

"Open."

Andrew pointed at the magic array from a distance. The magic array glowed with dazzling light, and numerous white feathers flew out from the array, looking quite spectacular.

"So beautiful."

Hawkeye and Scarlett were both amazed. Hawkeye didn't find the white feathers strange, as Andrew was an angel after all.

"Mommy, what's that? It's so pretty."

Hawkeye's daughter, Lila, pointed at the magic array outside and asked curiously. Laura hugged her and replied, "That's magic."

"Magic?"

Lila froze, then burst into tears. The adult world was truly filthy. They had just said there was no magic in this world, and then they conjured a brilliant magic array.

On the balcony, Andrew circled his finger, and the white feathers merged in the air, transforming into a humanoid phantom. A moment later, the phantom solidified, and a black-robed figure appeared before the three of them.

The black-robed figure looked down at everyone and asked with an authoritative voice, "What do you want from me?"

Hawkeye and Scarlett instinctively held their breath, not daring to utter a sound. They secretly sighed in their hearts, 'This is what you call a Black Robe Wizard. That Andrew fellow, you can tell he's an amateur at a glance.'

Andrew said, "I'm introducing a magic apprentice to you."

"Magic apprentice?"

The black-robed figure turned to look at Hawkeye and Scarlett and said, "A Muggle, and a young lady with good talent."

Hawkeye couldn't help but say, "What exactly is a Muggle? I feel like you're insulting me, but I have no proof."

The black-robed figure didn't answer Hawkeye. He asked Scarlett, "Before I assess you, I'll state the conditions. To become my magic apprentice, you must sign a soul contract with me and offer your soul to me. In return, I will help you with one task."

"I know. Mr. Wang already told me."

Scarlett took a deep breath and said, "I am willing to offer my soul to you in exchange for you quelling this disaster."
