Chapter 144 - "World Unified — Ultimate Mission Complete!"

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"The final assault should be over in about ten minutes."

"The entire Western Continent will become our territory. True unification, at last."

There was no hiding the excitement in Esdeath's voice.

Once this was done, the world's ultimate mission would finally be complete. The rewards waiting for both her and Alex would be immense.

"Yeah," Akame exhaled slowly. "It's finally happening. When Alex sees this, he's going to be thrilled."

They hadn't come this far easily. Every step toward this moment had been soaked in effort and blood.

"Don't worry. I've already seen it."

A voice drifted down from the sky.

Alex descended from the heavens and landed lightly before them, walking forward step by step. "You've all worked hard."

To wipe out every nation on the Western Continent in such a short time wasn't something just anyone could do. Akame, Esdeath, and the others had truly pushed themselves.

"Alex!"

Akame's eyes widened, surprise flashing through them. She hadn't expected to see him here, not now.

Even Esdeath looked taken aback. She had assumed he would only arrive after everything was finished.

"Your side's done already?" she asked softly.

In response, Alex lifted a hand and dispelled his Unlimited Blade Works. The space around him shimmered, and several figures were released.

"Myo!"

Akame cried out instinctively, raising One-Cut Killer: Murasame without hesitation.

In this world, Myo had personally killed Cornelia—and later died by Akame's own blade. That memory was carved too deep to ignore.

"Akame, relax," Alex said quickly, stepping forward before a misunderstanding could spark. "This isn't the Myo you remember. In her world, she never killed Cornelia."

Akame froze.

"Guy… Green… you're all still alive. Tsukushi…"

Her body trembled faintly. She had never imagined she would see these familiar faces again.

On the other side, Cornelia and Tsukushi were equally stunned by the sight before them.

"So this is the future," someone murmured.

"How fascinating."

Mera stepped out beneath her parasol, a sharp gleam flickering in her eyes. More than anything, she felt relief. The assassination organization would no longer have to walk in darkness.

Alex had been right.

Here, everyone would finally step into the light.

"Then let's launch the final charge!"

"Take down the last city in one sweep!"

Esdeath swung her arm decisively and led the assault herself.

The outcome was never in doubt.

In less than three minutes, the final city of the West collapsed under their concentrated firepower.

Unification was complete.

Alex knew he had only twelve hours left before he would be forcibly transferred away.

During that time, the remaining forces began inventory and preparations before gradually returning to the Eastern Continent.

Inside the military camp, Alex and Esdeath stood alone.

"This mission's almost over," Esdeath said quietly, gazing up at the starlit sky. "If you ever need help with anything in the future, call me immediately."

Alex nodded. "Of course. I'm your captain, after all. And I want you to become a god as soon as possible."

There was no denying her talent. Esdeath was an exceptional commander, and her strength spoke for itself. If she could condense a divine core one day, she would be an enormous asset to him.

"I understand."

She turned her head slightly, her eyes shifting toward him with a subtle glint. "It's late. We should rest."

Even the strongest woman needed warmth sometimes.

Alex didn't refuse. He raised a hand and sealed the tent.

The night passed quietly.

Three hours before his departure.

"The rest will be left to Esdeath," Alex said calmly. "I'm about to leave."

He didn't hide anything.

"If you're willing to come with me… you may have the chance to become gods in the future."

From the beginning, he had intended to develop them into his Familia. Some things had to be made clear.

"I'm willing."

Myo answered first. She had made her decision long before reaching this point in the timeline.

"We're joining too."

Cornelia stepped forward with Tsukushi at her side. Nearby stood Akame and Kurome. As for Green and Guy, their choice was obvious.

"We would also like to follow you," Najasho said with a respectful bow.

They had come this far. There was no reason not to commit fully.

"Good. Very good."

Alex smiled broadly. "Don't worry. Esdeath and the others are already members of the Familia. And when we arrive, you'll have even more companions."

His Familia was growing stronger once again.

For both Hestia and himself, that was nothing but good news.

"Then let's go!"

With a sweep of his hand, a barrier enveloped everyone present.

From the world of Akame ga Kill!, they departed—

For Orario.

At the same moment, a special notification appeared in the chat group.

[Group Announcement: Congratulations to member Alex for completing the ultimate mission in the Akame ga Kill! world—unifying the entire continental world. Reward: 10,000 points!]

[Group Announcement: The ultimate mission in the Akame ga Kill! world has been completed. The world is now open. All members may freely travel there!]

Yotsuya Miko: "Holy crap, another ten thousand points?!"

Erza: "That's earned through pure strength."

Hestia: "Alex is the best! That's my captain~"

Esdeath: "Hey, I contributed a lot too!"

Yue: "Can you take me next time? I'm good at a lot of things."

Shinobu Kocho: "Need help pushing?"

Alex: "..."

"..."
