Chapter 46 - "The Fall of the King"

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

As expected, just like everyone in the chat had guessed.

After Artoria couldn't reach Iskandar and had been rammed repeatedly by his war chariot, she fired her second Noble Phantasm.

Having unlimited magical energy really is terrifying. Just like in the Fifth Holy Grail War on the HF route, a corrupted Artoria with endless mana could, by continuously releasing her power and Noble Phantasms, take down Hercules—even with his twelve lives.

Under the blinding blast of the holy sword, Iskandar's "Galloping Lightning Bull" and "Divine Chariot" were utterly destroyed.

"In the end… I lost." Iskandar's voice was heavy with resignation.

And with that, Artoria closed in and ended him with a single, decisive strike.

With Iskandar's death, the "Army of the King" automatically dissipated.

Weber couldn't watch the battle like Alex, so he had no idea what had happened inside the barrier.

When he saw the barrier vanish, his eyes were filled with anticipation.

But there was no sign of Iskandar.

Only one figure remained—Artoria, wielding her holy sword.

"L-lost…?" Weber froze, disbelief written all over his face.

Alex ignored him. After all, he had promised Iskandar not to kill his Master.

"Let's go. Only the last Assassin remains," Alex said to the women.

They nodded in agreement and headed toward the church.

On the way, Alex pulled out the Lesser Grail. By now, it was three-quarters full of mana. One more Servant kill, and it would be at maximum capacity.

Hestia's eyes lit up as she saw the Grail. "We're almost done! After this, Alche-kun can come with me to Oralie!"

Alex smiled. "Yeah, I'm looking forward to Oralie's dungeon too."

Ten years until the next Grail War. Who knew how strong he would become by then?

Hestia patted her chest confidently. "I promise you won't be disappointed!"

Roche and Altriel exchanged excited glances.

Merlin was practically bouncing with excitement. "A legendary other world! I can't wait!"

Morgan asked Hestia, "Can Servants come with you to the other world too?"

"Of course!" Hestia nodded. She'd already checked the chat group rules. Servants like Merlin or Morgan only needed 50 points to go to a player's world since they weren't their true forms.

If Alex went with them, no points were needed at all. According to the chat, Servants were essentially property—like pets or weapons.

Morgan's lips curled in a small smile. She'd been curious about other worlds for a long time… now she might finally get to see one.

After over an hour of walking and chatting, they finally reached the church.

Kirei Kotomine and Assassin were already waiting.

He looked at Alex and spoke abruptly. "Kiritsugu Emiya is dead. Assassin found his body at the airport… did you do it?"

Altriel's face went pale. She stared at Alex in shock.

Even though she had been disappointed in Kiritsugu, she never imagined killing him herself. There had been feelings there… some connection.

If Alex had killed him, how could she face him afterward?

Would she hate him? Pretend she didn't know?

Alex frowned slightly but answered calmly, "Yes… and no."

Kirei tilted his head. "What do you mean?"

"I stripped him of his magical circuits," Alex explained. "I didn't kill him—but his death is connected to me."

Kirei nodded slowly. "I see…" Understanding that, he could finally fight without regret.

Almost instantly, Assassin struck.

In a single motion, he split into a hundred copies, all attacking Alex and the others.

Esdeath grinned with excitement. Finally, a fight! She spotted the Assassin who seemed strongest and unleashed her newest technique.

"Morobottomo!"

In an instant, the space within a hundred meters of her froze.

Even Roche and Hestia were visibly impressed.

"Developing ice magic to this level… she's a genius," Roche said openly.

"Freezing space itself… that surpasses absolute zero!" Hestia agreed.

Esdeath, sword in hand, stepped toward the immobilized Assassin and cut her down with a single strike.

"One down!" She immediately scanned for the next target.

Everyone on Alex's side, except Roche and Hestia, engaged multiple Assassins at once.

Alex faced a particularly alluring female Assassin.

She wore a tight black outfit, had long purple hair in a ponytail, a white skull mask over her face, and round earrings. The typical Hassan-style costume somehow made her look seductive—even dangerous.

Alex summoned a spear with Unlimited Blade Works and fought her, teasing as he went. "Nice figure… let's see if the face matches."

Unable to resist, he gave her ass a playful smack when she blocked.

"You'll pay for that!" Assassin roared, attacking with full force, abandoning all defense.

Alex remained calm, his spear moving with deadly precision.

When she realized she couldn't break through, she called two more Assassins using some form of secret signal.

Alex groaned. "No honor at all!"

"Well, if you're calling for backup, don't blame me for using magic!" he said with a smirk and began chanting rapidly:

"This body was forged for the sword.Steel for flesh, flames for blood.Countless battles fought without defeat.Neither knowing loss nor gain.Alone I stand, forging my sword atop the hill. The ultimate blade, my one true desire. This life is Unlimited Blade Works!"

When he finished, everyone was pulled into the unique reality of Unlimited Blade Works.

Kirei's eyes widened in disbelief. A unique reality field, like Iskandar's Army of the King! How could Alex wield such magic?

Not only him—Altriel, Roche, and anyone unaware of this ability froze in shock.

Merlin called out suddenly, "Master, I was starting to forget about this move if you didn't use it!"

Alex laughed. "I saved it for the perfect moment—to show everyone the truth!"

"..."
